194,000 Kms, And the Door and Wheels haven’t fallen off !
We bought a 9 Seater G10 new in 2016 as part of our Limousine Business, can’t fault it much, little noisy at motorway speeds, paint is very thin, Dealers are Very average, but we have had WORSE from the local Mercedes Dealer on the Sunshine Coast Qld, the vehicle now has 194,000 Kms and there are no rattles the trim has held up quite well, would we buy another? Absolutely. Looking a purchasing a new LDV Deliver 9, 14 Seater, firstname.lastname@example.org

LDV G10 after nearly 2 years.
LDV G10.. I was suspect.. LOTS.. having 25 years of vans from early terrible Ford vans to better Toyota HI Ace & SBV.. 10 years with a Ford Transit mid roof Diesel etc. The Fact these were Chinese.. Leyland Daff Vehicle do get past it.. as the engine is as I understand it... Nissan Diesel, gearbox Ford, Suspension partly GM, Electrics Bosch.. and body design.. (I suspect was actually Holden By Design.. but fact check all that somehow). .. The van I bought was the Diesel Auto.. barn doors excellent for minor pallet loading.. then dual side doors..... Seat for driver and often forgotten passenger are very comfortable and material heavy duty. Stereo , cruise, el windows, central lock.. etc all good.. WHAT SUCKS is the blue tooth phone mic.. for petes sake LDV fix this up.. We'll be paying for a private installer to improve that.at $160.. so be it. Overall IT IS THE BEST VAN WE HAVE EVER OWNED.. We brought a 2nd one 14 days ago May 2021 from LDV Campbelltown.. traded in our other van a VW Caddy Maxi diesel auto. Again.. the best van we have had. END OF Story..

Ldv g10 2014
The single worst vehicle I have had the displeasure to own, 137000kms on the vehicle, a.c doesn't work and haven't since just over 100,00 KMs, the rear main seal has let go allowing it to drip oil, took to my mechanic and was advised the entire gearbox needs to be removed to fix this, the cruise control works when it wants to as does the Bluetooth, it periodically shows an error code for the front left wheel then this code will clear on its own, and just today the rear door has decided to stop locking which is great on a van with work tools ins...ide, also the front brake rotors failed at 100k and needed to be replaced not a major issue but still poor, the rear window wiper stopped working the other day then two days later decided it would work again, my advice would be to buy a second hand HiAce. These seem like good valve but from what I can tell within a couple of years you will regret it.

Great vehicle. Over 90000km so far!
Great vehicle for the price, yes there is a bit of turbo lag but I haven't had any issue except a broken spring in the seat, dealer replaced the entire seat, no questions asked. I tow every day with it, not light trailers but heavy trailers. I have only replaced the tyres at 70000km and the brakes I haven't touched yet. After reading these other reviews I have no idea how they go through 9 tyres and 3 sets of brakes, they must have no idea how to drive or maintain their vehicle. Dealers have been Great, this is a brilliant vehicle, ignore th...e other negative reviews, I have nothing but praise for the vehicle except the turbo lag which they do need to sort out. On 91000kms so far and still drives like it did on day one. Look after your vehicle and it won't give you issues. Oh yeah I have only every used 91 octane fuel and still runs well.

BE WARNED!!!!! You get what you pay for.
LDV G10 is really a cheap vehicle but it's NOT value for money. And, yes it is a "death trap". Turbo lag leaves you exposed after a brake-go situation, is a major fault. Heater and air con controls are offset for left side driver position and you have to take your eyes off the road in order to adjust. That's bad juju if you on a freeway. Instrument cluster blinds you if the sun is in the wrong position. (Because of the shiny chrome around the dials) other faults are: Flimsy paint job, bluetooth that hardly works, weak rubber seals, and a ve...hicle warranty from LDV that's not worth the paper its written on. This vehicle maybe ok for shopping trips and "kiddie" runs but as a delivery/tradie vehicle it's a failure. The dealers don't want to know you because of the small profit margin or so it seems. It seems to drive well and it's very economical if you drive it easy like a granny but fact is you push it a bit hard it's likely to fall apart on you. You want a cheap vehicle? Buy one but don't complain afterwards. (LDV G10, diesel auto) Reg as a good carrying vehicle. 67.000 over 2 years since new. Serviced as per the book and on time.

Auto gearbox with diesel turbo is super smooth

Please read these reviews and heed warning. This car is not worth considering.
I'm writing this on behalf of a close friend who does not write reviews, and is not mechanically minded. I'm a mechanic and he's contacted me to ask advice during all his issues. In my view this is a shocking vehicle and even worse is the after-purchase support from LDV (or complete lack of).
When first purchasing the vehicle brand new in 2017 he was surprised how much Van you get for your money!! (That should be the first warning sign I guess...)
He bought the van to use as his work vehicle with mainly just tools in the boot and occasionally ...

Worst car on the planet

A complete deathtrap, but I have to use it, as I have no other choice!
Still having numerous faults with this particular vehicle, the dealership never got back to me about replacing the loose seat after the 5000km service over a year ago, still denied any faults (and I gave them a long detailed list in writing), except for a squeaking drivers door hinge, and a broken glove box door, which actually broke on my way to have serviced (turned out to be a filter of some kind which dislodged, and was fixed).
The inability to accelerate, at anytime after applying the footbrake, heavy vibration and restricted access to p...ower from the engine to the wheels, and feeling like somthing is seized, or about to, harsh vibration coming through the floor pan, pedals, seat and steering wheel, still not validated. Nor was a problem with (at the time) intermittent vague/excessive movement in the power steering, a loose drivers seat, a 2-3 second delay in changing gear from reverse to drive (which left me effectively stalled, and would even roll backwards if on a hill). There are many other issues, such as the suspension prematurely failing before 10,000km. So, not only was I being rocked front and backwards, but then also side to side, causing me to bang my head against the side of the vehicle when going slowly over speed bumps etc. I never returned to have servicing completed at the dealership, instead going to my local Automasters, who, would you believe, verified all my mechanical complaints, even pointing out the few that I didn't know about, but suspected. And why would a business which has no benefit from pointing out these faults, as they are not permitted to do any warranty work. Perhaps due to a responsibily to the customer to have a safe operating vehicle? Something which he dealership had no such regard for.

Brilliant Value for Money
Bought the 9 seat G10 in Nov 17 & haven’t looked back since. The only issue we’ve had was a loose bolt on the slide door bracket which was an easy self fix with a shifter. Very spacious vehicle for both people & luggage & great for transporting kids & their friends. Seats are really comfortable like armchairs for that long distance drive. Engine has never missed a beat & worked perfectly with great fuel economy. We bought two ldv’s for the price of one people mover from the competition with the same & more bells and whistles than others offer, ...which are inclusive & not added extras as other brands charge. You really can’t go past these vehicles given the quality & price point. Shop around for servicing as VACC accredited mechanics are at least 50% cheaper than dealership charges, and it doesn’t affect your warranty. We were also advised these vehicles don’t require the 1st 5,000k service as stipulated, so first service took place at 15k with absolutely no issues other than to change mandatory filters & top up fluids.

I purchased our G10 Turbo Diesel with a 6 speed manual primarily for a Getaway van that can carry our surfboards and SUPS. In one year I have travelled 34,000 klm trouble free with some amazing economy of 6.9L/100klm. My wife uses it to haul her goods to the markets as well and seems to carry loads well. (Max loads to date 550 kg)The motor is a gem and has surprising amounts of power for a van. I purchased it after positive feedback from an Undertaker who travels over 50,000 klms a year and was in the process of picking up his 2nd one from the ...dealership.He said he prefers to take it than his more expensive Hyundai I Load. The van has been serviced regularly and our long term mechanic thought it was good value for money. I would like to see a bonnet deflector added to the options list as the bonnet does pick up stone chips easily. Mick from QLD.

Very poor quality
1. Heater is is poor in cold weather.
2. Bluetooth in useless when on the highway. Have to use an aftermarket model
3. Reverse camera does not work properly at night
4. Cruise control is slow and unresponsive. Sometimes you need to switch the car off to get the cruise working again?
5. Can only have one fob with these vehicles??
Awesome Family Van
we use our van every day for our family school runs, we have a G10 7 Seater 2.0 Turbo and surprisingly this van can use SHELL RON91 petrol (checked and no knocking), but usually use 98 for long road trips which was awesome, filled up once from Sydney to Melbourne no refills along the way. service every 6 months and expected it to be a tin can but it has a nice weight to it and no body roll when turning. favorite feature of the van is the space, 6x passengers and my Medium size 29er mountain bike in the boot or it can go in the middle without taking of front wheel.
