- T60 (2018-2021)
T60 2019 original Trailrider
Beautiful and luxurious, 20,000klm over 18months and still got the "feels". Highly recommend this version but cannot comment on the Trailrider mark 2, (has the smaller 2.0l twin turbo motor).
Purchased in July 2019 at LDV Rocklea for $41,500.00.
Have had my LDV Trailrider for 2 months and there is a oil leak from the Rocker cover. Went to peninsula LDV at bankstown and they fixed it but the oil leak came again. So unhappy with the Service department and will never recommend buying LDV and will never buy one again.

Good from afar...but far from good
The car is used as a work ute.
At 300ks went into limp mode. first tow truck. Dealer said diagnostics was diff lock fault!
At 5000ks blew out seal in power steering. Second tow truck
Leaked oil from rear drive of transfer case from new, dealer fixed that at 15000ks service.
It over heats too easy and brings engine back to an idle. A good protection to have I suppose, however towing or in low range heading up a hill even on a sub 30deg day it’s guaranteed.
Now at 55000ks engine has developed a knock so once again on a tow truck. Wait and see how this pans out I guess....It’s nice to drive though...well once you up grade the suspension. Oh, and the manual gear stick is clunky and not very smooth to change through gears, that too. I bought it because I hated the fact that all the Thai built utes still have drum brake rear end...ironically the t60 doesn’t have great brakes.

LDV = Little Driving Value
The single cab vehicle is used for work purposes Mon -Fri. its carries a minimal load and the trips vary in length from 2-5km to as much as 400km in a day. It has only had one driver and he has a safe and clean driving record. In fact his driving behaviors are monitored by GPS. The vehicle is under warranty and has road side assistance. It is serviced in accordance with the log book requirements.
The vehicle is extremely thirsty at around 12L per 100km as an average even on highway trips. The seats are worn through and threadbare. The in...terior looks good but is very poorly made. We have been to a local dealer in Beresfield NSW 3 times to get it fixed but the same fault reoccurs soon after the vehicle is returned to us. Today this LDV broke down (again) 400km from our office. The "roadside assistance" will only cover us for 100km. The nearest dealer is 200km from where it is now and the extra 100km is going to cost us $400.00. If you are reading this review because you are considering one, dont! Its the only vehicle in our fleet of 40 utes and vans. It is the most unreliable and least fuel efficient. Do yourself a favor and move on, better value to be had in other second hand Utes.

This vehicle runs on the smell of an oily rag! Loves the long distance .. just add fuel. Lol I don’t know too much about specs of vehicles but I travelled nearly all around Oz off road too and this vehicle has proven time n time again to be reliable and can handle sand and mud. From interior designs and features to the familiar sound of a Cummins motor underneath heavy duty, nice lines outside and great colours... but don’t underestimate this vehicle cause it’s cheap and Chinese. Some favourites are the Big deep tray, coolest headlight display ...when turned on...kit from knight rider upgraded to 4wd lol. Interior comfort, audio system and display, the look from other drivers as the like it but don’t know what it is, had a bus driver pull up next to us at lights and asking us all about it. So yes 4WD, Diesel, Darling, proud to be part of the LDV original team.. I even got the only nitrate silver in the country ..be interesting to know if it’s true. They need to sell with and 18” fat all terrain tyre, the standard 17 “ tyres as these don’t do much the utes personality.

Just taken delivery a few days ago. All marketing on the Trailrider 2 show the new custom sportsbar. When mine arrived it had the old style. When I questioned this, i was told that the new look will be on the 2021 vehicle. Not a huge issue, but i was a little miffed that this was not mentioned anywhere.

For almost $15000 less than the most basic Ranger... Pretty good.
Only issues I have had were with the aircon. Took to one LDV service centre who said it was normal and no real issue. Took to another service centre who diagnosed and fixed it under the 5 year warranty.
Long trips up the coast have been easy. Just set the cruise control and off we go. Power hasn't been an issue really, I'm not racing anyone but have no issues passing people with full load of camping gear in the back. The tub is bigger than say a BT50 or a Triton which mean I can fit my XL mountain bike in the back no issues, with the lid down.... Have done proper off-road once, 4wd was easy to shift and diff lock easy too. Held it's own against the other vehicles, a few Rangers and a jeep. I had the standard tyres on though. All terrains would be worth fitting. Have had the camera freeze once or twice in two years but the 360 degree camera is excellent and help getting into tight spots. Overall, can't complain when I'm paying $15 grand less than the most basic of Ford Rangers with limited to no extra features. With the Luxe you get electric everything, leather seats, rear aircon vents for the back seats and a 5 star ancap safety rating, which is better than the Amarok. For me, if you can accept the fact the car is Chinese made, you can save yourself some decent money by buying one of these.

You get what you pay for.
Bought this Ute for Camping trips and the occasional off road trek.
It has too many gadgets, too many system updates needed to stop faults from happening.
I've had both key fobs loose their codes, or the car lost the codes, either way it was half a day at the dealers to rectify, I've had three flat batteries, one was after the system update that was supposed to fix this issue.
All three times the car was left for two or three days, always locked.
Next came a window issue, when winding up the window on the drivers side, it would reach the top,...

LDV T60 ; A Very Good Performer
We have a number of the LDV T60's , all with varying kilometers and work uses. We have had them for just over a year and find that the vehicle is a very good performer.
Some of the vehicles are driven quite hard , where as others are more office administration type vehicles that travel only around the CBD.

NEW CAR WITH ENDLESS PROBLEMS
I bought the car in March 2018, it has been back to the dealer in East Adelaide 9 times including the first service. The list of faults include the following
Faulty leather front seats, fixed once but still faulty
Faulty infotainment system that has been replaced once and still doesn't work after the replacement
Faulty rear cameras , they have never consistently worked
Faulty Fuel tank system that has intermittent problems not registering the amount of fuel , range doesn't reset when tank is full.
Faulty Bluetooth system
They are yet to fix...all the issues and the last time they replaced the computer system expecting it to work its gone backwards , now it screeches in Bluetooth to the level that I cant use it anymore , the start up volume is ridiculously loud, the rear camera is blurry You would expect a fully decked out car that cost $45k would work, I should have stuck with the quality brand I had previously, they also provided 5 star servicing that you would expect that LDV dealers cannot offer.

Absolute Lemon - buyer beware
Purchased and LDVt60 Luxe and the vehicle has only complete 30000km's. To date we have experienced issues with the suspension bouncing all over the place, we are on our second info system which still doesn't work as it should. Motor needed replacing and rust is starting to form under door handles.
The 24 hour breakdown assistance is not 24 hour as we had to wait until Monday when called on Saturday. The number to call for the breakdown assistance also said to call back during business working hours on more than one occassion. Breakdown assistan...

I bought a new T60 18 months ago
The Ute has been fantastic
I am a Carpenter, drive Uber occasionally and use it as a family car for my partner and our 2 dogs
It’s got 24k on the clock now
Average fuel is 10.8
Purchased in June 2018 at Pickerings for $30,000.00.
The T60 is a solid performer
The whole unit is pretty good cruiser about town...large for parking though. The motor and running gear does well and have had no issues after 20k. The downside is the suspension, an easy fix with new struts $600 and you’ve got a good cheaper 4WD.....haven’t managed to bog it yet!
Purchased in February 2018 for $35,000.00.
Love my T60 both on & off road!
The only thing missing is a CD player, but easily fixed with phone music when I can’t get the radio. Absolutely love it on and off road!
Never misses a beat!

Dreadful customer service
Do not buy this vehicle. Suspension is a major problem which they are aware but even under warranty they did not fix. Terrible service and large clunky that does not fit into normal parking spaces. DO NO BUY

Happy with my LDV T60 Pro auto
I've had my LDV T60 Pro auto since new Aug 2018, paying $36,000 with a towbar, tonneau cover, darkest legal tint & electronic trailer brake controls as optional extras. I generally use it for daily commutes & towing a campervan on holidays. Since obtaining it, I have just shy of 30,000km on the odometer, with just under 13,000km completed in the last 8 weeks on sealed & dusty, corrugated, roads going on east to west on the Outback Way, returning via Eyre Hwy & other sealed roads) while towing a campervan with a GCM of approx 5t. Very little dus...t ingress into the cabin on the dirt roads, averaging 12.1 litres per 100km with aircon going & cruise control set on 95kph when on the highways. So far it's been a solid performer with a minor glitch with cruise control disengaging occasionally when under load driving up steep hills while towing the campervan.

About to buy 2nd T60
Had the T60 Luxe Auto since Nov 17, other than a floaty suspension that’s now been upgraded by Walkinshaw parent company of HSV, the vehicle is a clear winner compared to the overpriced alternatives. So impressed, I’ve ordered a T60 Trailrider & the wife’s getting her 2nd LDV G10. Their absolutely brilliant vehicles for dollar value, however some of the dealerships let LDV down ripping off their own clients with service costs. I found a difference of $280 between two dealerships for a 15k service. Shop around people, I went to a VACC approved mechanic for a fraction of the price the dealerships charge. Other than that, can’t wait to get the next one.

Practical but there's a few downside
I love my LDV T60 Trailrider and it was really affordable. Although, as has been told by other reviews, the Infotainment is really hard to work with. It uses Easycon not Android Auto. Low in torque. But overall, as I don't pull trailer and don't go 4WD'ng very often, car is above average for my liking.
Purchased in September 2019 at Rockyldv for $38,990.00.
Beautiful Car. A pleasure to drive.
It's our everyday car. My wife normally drives it, but occasionally she lets me drive it. It tows a horse float like a dream. We have had a couple of extremely minor issues, but they have all been dealt with under warranty. Would gladly buy a second one.

Value for Money But A Lot of Issues and Bad Service Centre
I bought the LDV T60 in white in March 2018. I use it for family transport and soon, caravan towing. The front driver and back passenger seats started to tear in the first 2 months so I had to get them replaced. The iPhone USB port fell into the panel so it had to be fixed. The light stabiliser light, tyres warning light randomly illuminated for a while and now have stopped. Today the engine light has illuminated and stayed on. I have need it in again and it has been to the dealer 4 times. I have only done 11,000km! I have to back for the 5th t...ime to see what this engine issue is about. The dealer - Gold Coast large service centre - is the worst part about the car. Just poor service, fail to return calls and fail to fix everything all at once. Disappointing that there are so many issues with a brand new car. But the car itself is decent for the price.

Questions & Answers
Every time we turn the car on the radio blasts and we have to be super quick to turn it down even though it wasn’t that high when car was turned off. Any help appreciated because it gives us a heart attack each time - thanks
The stereo is defective. Have LDV dealership fix, or replace. Is your driver's seat sensor faulty also? Seat belt beeper goes off when you are not in car and car is running in park?
OMG yes it does beep!!! That drives us crazy as well - I end up plugging it in to shut it up when I hear it!
