Doesn't do anything well
Where do I begin, the head unit, entertainment system. How can this be so bad? Can't see the screen during the day due to glare, can't drive with the screen on at night due to being so bright. Every time I restart the car the radio comes on loud, even if I've turned it off or muted before turning car off. The reverse camera is shocking, just a blur really. Android connect doesn't work properly. No blue tooth music streaming.
The steering wheel buttons don't light up at night, so using cruise control is made difficult. No...

More trouble than other cars
5 months old. Has stalled several times after starting. Rear view camera flickers sometimes. Blind spot detection comes on when no cars are there and doesn’t work when it should. Cruise control won’t always turn off when I press the button - probably will kill me one day. Up slight hills cruise control loses speed - needs input to maintain speed. Interior buttons got stuck in causing a check engine light. Fuel range sometimes shows - - - after filling it up. Head unit keeps dimming. Radio goes full volume when it’s turned on. Had an update to ...fix that but now it no longer shows service interval and switching between inputs volume changes from zero to full. Radio offers 360 camera but it doesn’t work. Steering wheel shake from new. Reverse sensors don’t always sound when there is an obstacle. Dealer claimed wiper blades were dud after only 5 months over summer having used them once or twice. Noisy. Bumpy ride. Had to reset radio 3 times because after a while it won’t detect iPhone. Rain sensing wipers come on when no rain. Floor mat nearly worn through. Can see body panel flexing when door is closed. Climate control doesn’t always respond and has on several occasions, in manual mode, got stuck ramping the fan speed up or down without touching buttons. Very harsh downshifts at times.

Not worth the headache
I got my T60 as a work vehicle, i need reliability and in fairness most of the time it is ok, i would say the problem with these is mainly there technology is very poor, things like rain sense, reversing camera, apple car play, none of there tech works consistently, have had it at the dealers twice and the general response is worked ok when we tested it, mind you the auto wipers wouldn't stop when i picked it up on a nice sunny day, spoke to LDV and was told to take it to another dealer for a second opinion, not much point when its if we don't see it we don't care, best advise buy something else

Good from afar...but far from good
The car is used as a work ute.
At 300ks went into limp mode. first tow truck. Dealer said diagnostics was diff lock fault!
At 5000ks blew out seal in power steering. Second tow truck
Leaked oil from rear drive of transfer case from new, dealer fixed that at 15000ks service.
It over heats too easy and brings engine back to an idle. A good protection to have I suppose, however towing or in low range heading up a hill even on a sub 30deg day it’s guaranteed.
Now at 55000ks engine has developed a knock so once again on a tow truck. Wait and see how this pans out I guess....It’s nice to drive though...well once you up grade the suspension. Oh, and the manual gear stick is clunky and not very smooth to change through gears, that too. I bought it because I hated the fact that all the Thai built utes still have drum brake rear end...ironically the t60 doesn’t have great brakes.

For almost $15000 less than the most basic Ranger... Pretty good.
Only issues I have had were with the aircon. Took to one LDV service centre who said it was normal and no real issue. Took to another service centre who diagnosed and fixed it under the 5 year warranty.
Long trips up the coast have been easy. Just set the cruise control and off we go. Power hasn't been an issue really, I'm not racing anyone but have no issues passing people with full load of camping gear in the back. The tub is bigger than say a BT50 or a Triton which mean I can fit my XL mountain bike in the back no issues, with the lid down.... Have done proper off-road once, 4wd was easy to shift and diff lock easy too. Held it's own against the other vehicles, a few Rangers and a jeep. I had the standard tyres on though. All terrains would be worth fitting. Have had the camera freeze once or twice in two years but the 360 degree camera is excellent and help getting into tight spots. Overall, can't complain when I'm paying $15 grand less than the most basic of Ford Rangers with limited to no extra features. With the Luxe you get electric everything, leather seats, rear aircon vents for the back seats and a 5 star ancap safety rating, which is better than the Amarok. For me, if you can accept the fact the car is Chinese made, you can save yourself some decent money by buying one of these.

You get what you pay for.
Bought this Ute for Camping trips and the occasional off road trek.
It has too many gadgets, too many system updates needed to stop faults from happening.
I've had both key fobs loose their codes, or the car lost the codes, either way it was half a day at the dealers to rectify, I've had three flat batteries, one was after the system update that was supposed to fix this issue.
All three times the car was left for two or three days, always locked.
Next came a window issue, when winding up the window on the drivers side, it would reach the top,...

Value for Money But A Lot of Issues and Bad Service Centre
I bought the LDV T60 in white in March 2018. I use it for family transport and soon, caravan towing. The front driver and back passenger seats started to tear in the first 2 months so I had to get them replaced. The iPhone USB port fell into the panel so it had to be fixed. The light stabiliser light, tyres warning light randomly illuminated for a while and now have stopped. Today the engine light has illuminated and stayed on. I have need it in again and it has been to the dealer 4 times. I have only done 11,000km! I have to back for the 5th t...ime to see what this engine issue is about. The dealer - Gold Coast large service centre - is the worst part about the car. Just poor service, fail to return calls and fail to fix everything all at once. Disappointing that there are so many issues with a brand new car. But the car itself is decent for the price.
Purchased in March 2018 for $31,500.00.
Phone can't connect, sensors not working, lane change warning not working, radio rubbish, clutch smokes!
I was a bit sceptical about why the initial owner of this car put it into part exchange for a Holden after just 3 weeks of ownership. I've owned it for 3 days and can now understand why!
Tried towing my boat yesterday and realised the struggle it had pulling it (19ft fibreglass). To get back up the slippery ramp I had to engage 4WD and the car started smoking... Got much worse when home and had to reverse up a gentle grass slope to park the boat in the shed. Clouds of smoke belching out from underneath the passenger door. Pretty obvious the clutch and I've since heard I am not the only one with this issue. Plus all the above electronic problems .... oh how I wish i had kept my Mitsubishi Triton. Almost 5 years and never a problem.

Some good points some just terrible points
Ron is right “The electronics in the car are terrible”. The cruise control drops out instead of changing down gears on highway hills!.The Apple car play is unreliable even after a firmware upgrade. The dealers won’t do anything on warranty unless head office approved first and wanted me to pay for faults that were intermittent because they didn’t believe me. My vehicle has 26k now and apart from the initial complaints it has been reliable. It won’t hold gears as engine braking if the revs go over 3200 which is dangerous when 4WDing! Seats are c...omfy even in long trips & the seat warmers are a bonus. The basics of the car could be made so much better with just a bit of effort by LDV - a decent entertainer unit without bugs and Bluetooth Apple CarPlay, more dampening in the shock absorbers to make it safe on the road, better performance from the motor, better quality paint finish, match the sound level of the radio with other sound sources and fix the microphone for the phone, it needs noise canceling to make it useable and also the T60 is very noisy in the cabin. They have fixed the sound level difference between phone and radio and had many software updates but now the entertainment unit locks up totally, can’t change volume or stations requiring a full reset, plus the radio reception is very poor partly due to interference from the vehicle’s other electronics. The shock absorbers are even worse now causing the vehicle to jump across in front of the oncoming traffic on a straight road if the sealed road is corrugated. The vehicle overheats on long climbs with minimal load and not towing. The Auto transmission has developed erratic harsh shifting and it’s partly alleviated by changing the transmission oil every 2nd service.

Questions & Answers
My fob has started playing up. I have to open the door with the manual key in the end of the fob and put the fob in the coin holder and try to start it. Sometimes it starts and sometimes the alarm goes off. It eventually starts but very annoying.
I tried the spare fob and same issue so probably not a fob battery issue.
No such problems with mine fortunately although one thing i did mean to say, is LDV service is the MOST unless bunch i have ever encountered !! Every dealer much go to head office for service warranty, wait for approval and then sent the parts, its a joke !!! Had some issue and they had the thing for a week !!!
The radio will not go off when you stop and turn engine off. Was told that is the way it is set to stay on for up to 5mins after it is a pain does anyone else have this problem.
Hi Butler. This appears to be an LDV thing as they all do it. May be send an email compliant to their support . Tks Chris
Hi brains trust, I was wondering if it is normal for the traction control to automatically turn off when 4 low is selected?
Hi Butch, As I have only had a couple of times I had the need to use traction control, it stayed on until I was out of trouble, however I have noticed the LDV has a few electronic features that turn off by themselves such as the ECO control. Might be an LDV thing, however I would check with the mechanics next time you get it services.
Yes it's normal.
