I've had a connection with Leaptel on the Opticomm network for a few months now and haven't had any problems. Good speeds, great customer support during the setup process and a functional web console. Also great value for money.
Been with leaptel for a week now and have been ecstatic with the service so far, getting the speeds I pay for and more sometimes with 0 dropouts is amazing. Customer support is also superb and they really value you as a customer.
Quick service, reliable internet

Have been with another provider for the last 8 years and having moved house various times, i expected the usual 2 or more week turn around followed by the usual issues.
The area i moved to is locked to Opticomm so i had to jump ship to Leaptel, I was concern about using a provider i had never heard of before but was delighted when i found out they were Australian owned and operated.
Next thing that happened was i was told that i needed to get Opticomm to complete the install and notify leaptel when a technician would be out to complete the job...
I have had the most wonderful experience with Leaptel and so have taken the time to leave the team the feedback they deserve. Let me tell you why -
I bought a property in August 2019 and have been trying to connect to the internet ever since. I contacted a handful of internet providers. A number of them said that they could not service my property because NBN was yet to be installed in my area. 2 internet providers said that they could service my property and deducted the initial funds from my account only to perform secondary checks and ...realise that they could not service my property because NBN was not yet ready in my area, ADSL could not be installed and / or there was no existing infrastructure. This then resulted in me needing to chase up a refund and, in the case of one provider, having to return a modem that had already been mailed to me. An annoyance and an inconvenience, to say the least. I then realised that my property may require Opticomm instead - this is arguably something that the other internet providers should have been able to tell me. I then began searching for Opticomm providers. All of the providers had quite poor reviews, well, that was until I came across Leaptel. The vast majority of reviews regarding Leaptel were positive and most of the reviews that I came across (good or bad) had a response from someone from Leaptel. This was unusual and a pleasant surprise.
Amazing service and speed
Rang Leaptel in morning and was on line within few hours. Service was amazing and their plans offer value for money. I am in my 60's and set up of own modem was made easy by understanding staff.

From start to finish, I'm still amazed at how quickly and efficiently you guys get the job done. I recommend you to everyone. Install was quick, information from sales team was great, even support on the night of install was fantastic. I have worked in IT for over a decade and something happened that has never happened before. I was calling their support line a few minutes before close for a firmware update, decided no one was going to be there and I hung up after 2-3 rings, 1 minute later I received a call back from their support team who help...ed me and sent a followup email with the firmware attached. Amazing! This is the second time I have signed up with Leaptel, first time I signed up on Sunday, received a modem on Tuesday and connected that same week on Thursday. After moving house, The process was even quicker. After Opticomm connected my premises, Leaptel connected me on the same day!!! Unheard of! Really couldn't have wished for a better internet partner. 2 years and still going strong!
Moved to Oran Park in December 2017 and chose Leaptel for OptiComm and was absolutely amazed by the consistent quality! Barely any problems at all, activated in a really short time and still reach about 93 mbps down/37 mbps up on the 100/40 plan.

After reading the mix reviews online and among different provider. I took the punt of going with Leaptel and the journey has been over 5 months without any disruption and great service.. Customer service has been amazing and always helping..
Only Con- Bit dearer compared to NBN..

I've been with Leaptel for the last 12months without too much issue. I have some errors that disconnect my online game play but it hasn't bothered me too much to warrant touching base with tech support (highly likely it's due to me not setting up the ports on my modem) but I digress. The reason for this review is I've recently been looking at NBN plans for my little sister and after trying to find what I thought were nice, cheap plans I decided to call the tech support line (let's be honest, the only time you'll call your internet company is wh...en something has gone awry). So I decided to check each companies tech support line. First company I was on hold to for over 5mins so I hung up. Second company I called I was given an audio notification that I was 46th in line to speak to someone (ain't nobody got time for dat). Third company I called I was told I was 24th in line. I was starting to have my doubts about maybe picking a night where everyone was having issues so I called Leaptel. In less than a minute and a half, not only had I been answered (on ya Jon, 2 thumbs up bud), but I'd also had the time to explain my phone call (and thank him for understanding that I was not actually calling for help but rather to check that they live up to their aim of unrivaled customer support) and hang up. I cannot rate this company high enough.

Extremely slow internet
I was with Leaptel for nearly 2 year. Download speeds are extremely slow on peak hours and Service drops out at least a few times a day. I thought this was inherent to all opticom services. But recently I changed over to a different service provider. Now I realise how poor Leaptel service was. Only good thing about them is having a local support desk who are willing to help. But can't help you with the extremely slow internet.
They are a greedy vendor who will hares you to get the last $ they can get from you. I was on a monthly plan and discon...
Dead set best provider!!
Refreshing to see an ISP that cares about its customers and service so well. They provide honest assistance, quick activation and just all round winner. Cant go wrong picking Leaptel :)
This company is amazing!
I placed an order for the 100/40 plan on Wednesday. A service rep called me on Thursday to finalise connection details. Mt modem came in today (friday) and internet is up and running at max speeds. What more can you ask for.
Leaptel are the best
I have been a customer with Leaptel for the last two years and have found there customer service to be perfect. Their internet speed is as promised , I have never had a drop out with them ( at least not that I have noticed . Dealing with their customer service consultants is very pleasant and prompt action .
They may not be as big as some of the other big players but the big players can learn a lot from Leaptel .

Opticomm is absolutely terrible, if there is a way to avoid the set up I would. John from Leaptel helped so much and was patient during all the phone calls!

I signed up on a Thursday if I remember correctly and they called me up the next day. Confirming about my application that they will go through with it. 2 days later I got my internet up and running.
Although we didn’t have the right router (their support made us realize can’t use our old router so we ordered one, we got them 2 days after) everything has been so smooth, speed always consistent 25/5 sometimes we get more 28/7 but can’t complain with that!!
Another issue occurred which their support helped me a lot. Then turns out it was Optico...mm’s fault and technician happens to be in the area the next day(how lucky!) they quickly fix it and viola internet and tv back on again. I am so glad I found this company they respect the customer and support them on the best of their knowledge. I recommend it to everyone having hard time to deal with crappy ISP.

Crazy Fast Opticomm Internet Speeds
Signed up on Leaptel NBN100/40 Unlimited and it is super-quick. Getting speeds of 94MBps over wifi on a cheap modem. Who knows how fast the service can be over cable and on a good modem. Very impressed so far. Setup was very easy and connection + modem was serviced the very next business day. Highly recommend this ISP

I would like to know when I received the Leaptel router if it is as they say simply pug and play. The kids really need the WIFI
