In over a year I've only had a couple of drop outs, both were very brief, under 5 minutes.
I was able to contact Leaptel and confirm them in both cases.
I've had a connection with Leaptel on the Opticomm network for a few months now and haven't had any problems. Good speeds, great customer support during the setup process and a functional web console. Also great value for money.
Excellent Customer Service. Reliable and fast internet speeds
This is my second review of Leaptel (first one being Opticomm connection). After experiencing connection problems with our previous Internet provider (Exetel) and NEVER being able to get to an operating or receiving a call-back, I decided it was time to switch to Leaptel, based on my previous experience with them. They did not disappoint. Modem was received within 2 days and they even helped out with our NBN-related connection problem that Exetel failed to address. It was resolved in less than a business day. Customer service is helpful and communicated every step of the way. Internet speeds are reliable and fast. Kudos to Leaptel. Highly recommended for Internet needs!
Best Service Ever - Thank you Rob!
Excellent customer service and excellent internet speed. In February 2020 my son moved into a unit in Brisbane and started Uni, so a reliable high-speed internet connection was very important. The building wasn't connected to the NBN, instead the connection was thru LBNCo who provided a list of ISP's to choose from. I selected Leaptel based on these product reviews and was so glad I did - thanks to all of you who wrote these reviews! I ended up speaking with Rob who guided me through the entire process. I wanted to use my own programmable...modem/router which was a few years old. Rob spent several hours on the phone with me trouble shooting the setup parameters for this modem - he even found the manual online and read up on it before calling me back to advise me of the new configuration settings. Rob got it all working and the connection is just so fast, my son is thrilled, he also games a lot and tells me that the speed is awesome. I spoke to Rob several times on the phone during this process, he was always easy to contact (no overseas call centers) and followed up with a confirmation email once everything was working well. Rob was great to talk with, he explained everything clearly and was very patient - a real professional. This is probably some of the best customer service I've ever received from any company, subsequently I highly recommend Leaptel to anyone. Thank you Leaptel and thank you Rob, you did a great job mate!

Got connected in a few hours from the moment I put the request until I got the service.
I could not imagine that provisioning of broadband service can be done so quickly. The support team is very professional and friendly. Definitely can recommend Leaptel. The internet speed is as promised. The price is very good.

Fastest home internet I have ever used in Australia
Two weeks ago we moved to our new property where LBNco was the provider, I was nervous and didn't want to move from Telstra, but I had no choice. I did some research and decided to signup with Leaptel on a month to month contract.
The signup process was easy and fast. Received credentials within 48hrs of signing up.
Deployment was seamless, Setup PPPoE on my apple time-capsule router without any issues (amazed).
Ran speed test and I was able to get 106mbs download and 33mbs upload, on top of it no matter what time of the day/night it is, no ...matter what the speed test results are, the quality and experience of internet usage is consistently smooth! Now that we are working from home, kids online schooling, Leaptel is providing by far superior quality internet services! BTW I ported my telephone number to leaptel, they did their part efficiently and instantly, however, the previous service provider is still in process of completing the port out request and when I called their support, first they were asking me to wait and it will port out itself, now due to Covid-19 their online chat is unavailable and phone support is painfully long waits... Leaptel keep up the good work!
Just great, in every way
Normally wouldn't write a review but I do love the service I get from leaptel. I'm a HEAVY user with a desktop that stays on 24/7 performing various bandwidth intensive tasks and have an overall excellent experience with this isp. Always get my advertised speeds, vary rarely how downtime. 10/10
Absolutely disgusting! Worst customer service
Worst experience! Had to go with Lbn co was restricted to 3 companies. Choose Leaptel as they had better reviews. They are all deceiving. Internet connected but no internet access. Called up first day the rep advised he doesnt know whats wrong and said what do you want me to do about it. I suggested send a technician they said they dont do that. Suggested he would get advise call me back, never did. Second day called up rep advised its your router go and buy a new one. Ran to the shops paid 200 bucks for a new router. Connected again no connect...ion. Wasted my money buying a router- given false information. Now need to call again to probly be advised theres nothing we can do about it. Im paying for a service I dont have! Never go with this company!! Do not recommend. They take your money and there reps have no idea what there taking about or how to fix technical issues. Day 3 now no internet. Only been with this company 3 months and internet kept dropping out. There plans are an extra $10 bucks a month then regular nbn. Paying extra for nothing.
Been with leaptel for a week now and have been ecstatic with the service so far, getting the speeds I pay for and more sometimes with 0 dropouts is amazing. Customer support is also superb and they really value you as a customer.
Quick service, reliable internet
I've been a customer with Leaptel for over three years, their customer service has always been prompt and polite. Internet is reliable and up to the standard of their advertisement.
Rob is the best customer service person in the country
After speaking with 3 people due to our lack of internet (not leaptels fault in the end) we called up a forth time to cancel, Rob wanted to try a few more things. after 15 minutes of speaking with Rob he had not only solved our problem, but had listed all our options on how we could fix the problem. our problem was the modem had died, i bought a new modem and called back the next day as i was having problems again connecting to the internet, luckily i got Rob, he researched the modem i bought and gave me a step by step connection process to ge...t it working in 5 minutes. he also then gave he a tip on how i could rename my Wifi to the old Wifi name so i didnt need to change all 23 devices we have connected to our wifi. Rob is an absolute credit to your company, took this from being a 1 star review and a disconnected customer to being 5 stars. Thanks Rob! "Brent from QLD"
Poor internet connection
Been with them for a year now still having same problems slow speeds internet drops out Starts buffering when 2-3 devices are on wifi and affects the wired connection aswell done everything on my side then I have to sit there and listen to a person who I can’t understand for 25-30mins and still get no results LBN companies not that good in my book be good when nbn Telstra gets here
Still shocked with the great service!
Have been with another provider for the last 8 years and having moved house various times, i expected the usual 2 or more week turn around followed by the usual issues.
The area i moved to is locked to Opticomm so i had to jump ship to Leaptel, I was concern about using a provider i had never heard of before but was delighted when i found out they were Australian owned and operated.
Next thing that happened was i was told that i needed to get Opticomm to complete the install and notify leaptel when a technician would be out to complete the job...
I have had the most wonderful experience with Leaptel and so have taken the time to leave the team the feedback they deserve. Let me tell you why -
I bought a property in August 2019 and have been trying to connect to the internet ever since. I contacted a handful of internet providers. A number of them said that they could not service my property because NBN was yet to be installed in my area. 2 internet providers said that they could service my property and deducted the initial funds from my account only to perform secondary checks and ...realise that they could not service my property because NBN was not yet ready in my area, ADSL could not be installed and / or there was no existing infrastructure. This then resulted in me needing to chase up a refund and, in the case of one provider, having to return a modem that had already been mailed to me. An annoyance and an inconvenience, to say the least. I then realised that my property may require Opticomm instead - this is arguably something that the other internet providers should have been able to tell me. I then began searching for Opticomm providers. All of the providers had quite poor reviews, well, that was until I came across Leaptel. The vast majority of reviews regarding Leaptel were positive and most of the reviews that I came across (good or bad) had a response from someone from Leaptel. This was unusual and a pleasant surprise.
Amazing service and speed
Rang Leaptel in morning and was on line within few hours. Service was amazing and their plans offer value for money. I am in my 60's and set up of own modem was made easy by understanding staff.

From start to finish, I'm still amazed at how quickly and efficiently you guys get the job done. I recommend you to everyone. Install was quick, information from sales team was great, even support on the night of install was fantastic. I have worked in IT for over a decade and something happened that has never happened before. I was calling their support line a few minutes before close for a firmware update, decided no one was going to be there and I hung up after 2-3 rings, 1 minute later I received a call back from their support team who help...ed me and sent a followup email with the firmware attached. Amazing! This is the second time I have signed up with Leaptel, first time I signed up on Sunday, received a modem on Tuesday and connected that same week on Thursday. After moving house, The process was even quicker. After Opticomm connected my premises, Leaptel connected me on the same day!!! Unheard of! Really couldn't have wished for a better internet partner. 2 years and still going strong!
Moved to Oran Park in December 2017 and chose Leaptel for OptiComm and was absolutely amazed by the consistent quality! Barely any problems at all, activated in a really short time and still reach about 93 mbps down/37 mbps up on the 100/40 plan.

We recently switched to Leaptel after a terrible experience with Fuzenet. The customer service has been outstanding and a huge shout-out to Rob in technical support - whatever they are paying you is not enough! You are amazing! Keep it up Leaptel!

Used to be with Dodo and their customer service (in the Philippines) was a disgrace. I really recommend Leaptel and the Opticom Network. Customer service is amazing and nothing is a hassle. Nick from Billings provides extensions when it's needed. Always there to help and they are Aussie owned. They speak our language. Furthermore, the internet has been amazing. Really cannot complain at all.
Been with for 2 months. Leaptel provides garbage internet. Slow and inconsistent speeds daily. Drop outs, and very high ping! No helpful customer service, palm off as much as they can. I do NOT recommend

Hi Jan - It depends on whether the address has the equipment installed or not. I would recommend talking to our team on livechat at www.leaptel.com.au and providing them with your address. They will be able to advise you on the timelines for activation and about the order process.
Given you're overseas and the timezones could be difficult, perhaps it would be best to email our support team at email@example.com. That way they can get back to you with detailed information.
We are however open Monday - Friday, 9am - 9pm AEDT and Saturday & Sunday 9am - 7pm AEDT.
Hi I am with Leaptel. I have not got my Netcom NF18ACV Router as yet but my service is up and running 25/5.
I would like to know when I received the Leaptel router if it is as they say simply pug and play. The kids really need the WIFI
