Heavy, poor on hills, cumbersome returns process
I purchased the Berlin Cruiser.
It's very heavy, which is not great if you encounter stairs or need to climb a railway concourse/platform on your journey.
The electric motor is great on the flat, but very disappointing on hills. The three gears with this weight and motor is about as useful as a regular commuter bike with more gears.
I returned the bike but found the returns process cumbersome. The return parcel was 50% more expensive than the original delivery cost. The return communication was non-existent, and the returned amount is less...than the purchase price... Presumably because the company has decided to deduct an amount for scratches/dirtiness.. but they have not supplied an itemisation. I think the company should be grateful I'm not complaining to a consumer body about marketing claims which are unsubstantiated in the product.

Affordable, Sexy, and a Great Utility
The Berlin Cruiser by Leitner is a beautiful ebike. I traveled almost 50-60 Km (single charge of 4 hrs) on 15.6 Ah upgraded battery and had the last cell in its last breaths. The bike looks wonderful and offers amazing pedal assistance. I appreciate Leitner's customer support as well, which has so far won my heart with prompt and helpful responses.
Leitner 24 inch Milan Electric Bike
I decided on the Leitner e-bike not only because of their excellent reviews, but I also liked the look of their bikes and price also was a major factor. Before purchasing the bike I rang the company on numerous occasions with different queries and have to say their customer service is excellent. The guidelines for the sizing of their bikes is spot on. I was tempted to buy the 26 inch as I am five foot 2 inches, but was guided by their measurement scale and the Milan 24 inch fits me perfectly with plenty of room to extend the seat. I love the ...pedal assist and I am able to alter the gears when riding up a hill so that I am still exerting my legs for exercise. I did a lot of Internet researching before deciding on the Leitner and tried a few e-bikes from different bicycle shops. My main objective was to get into shape. I am 63 years of age and it is the best thing I could have bought to keep me fit.

We chose pickup from Depot, and Due to how much assistance given , I could have picked up without my son.
Questions & Answers
I am 6 ft 2 inches tall and 113kg. ill the fold-up handle these stats? What are your freight costs? Alan, Ulverstone, Tas
Thanks for your message. We would suggest you to go for the full size Cruiser or mountain bike. We do still have customers over 6 foot tall using the folding bikes, however, they are unable to fully extend their legs when pedaling. And, it comes to personal preference when choosing the size of the wheels of an ebike. We would suggest you to go to your local bike shop and test ride a 20" bike (doesn't have to be an ebike) and see how you feel on riding a smaller wheel bike. Let us know how you go. Shipping a Tirol or Libelle to Ulverstone TAS 7315 is about $122.40 (subject to change anytime). If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us on 1300 856 725 to discuss further or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
What make are the motors?
Hi Mike, Not sure, though the website says '250W brushless motor'. I would recommend you ring Leitner directly as they are more than helpful. My husband was more than impressed with the bike and I did a lot of shopping around and research on them before purchasing.
