This little machine (smaller than a sunbeam I had), is perfect. Doesnt take up space. The froth is good if not the fastest but i can froth and extra expresso at the same time. The build seems good and it is not too heavy compared to others so I can actually move it. The instructions are easy. MOST importantly being an old barista it makes a very good coffee without being too dramatic and over the top. It is a decent machine. Ease of use if 5 star once you know how to make a coffee as it is not automatic - hence 5 star. PID is handy whish it counted the seconds for extraction.
Purchased in April 2019 for $2,499.00.
Best machine in the pro-sumer range
When we begun our search for a espresso machine this was not on our radar but we are so glad we’ve found it. It is a heat exchange machine which means there is no time wasted when going from extraction to frothing milk. The price was very reasonable considering all the features. The feature I particularly liked as an extra touch was the non burn wands. The milk wand and hot water spout don’t burn you when you touch them. A little extra peace of mind with little ones about.
It’s easy to use, pulls consistent shots and has AN INCREDIBLY LOW F...OOTPRINT. It’s beautifu, tiny and discreet but doesn’t lack a thing. As a personal preference, we upgraded our portafilter basket to a 21g (the larger one that comes standard I think is 14g) and also changed over the shower screen. All in all we love our machine. Considering some machines of the same caliber could cost $500+ more than the lelit Mara I recommend taking a look
