Great Value
Now owned for 8 months and very happy.
Great value at the $1370 I paid, even at the higher price quoted here still good. I haven't ever owned an LG product before because of the disastrous crap the used to put out under the name of Goldstar, some two decades ago. Only after numerous people told me how good they were now, I dared look at this manufacturer again and I am glad I did.
This TV is not the best of the best but the quality of picture along with loads of functions and ease of use make it GREAT BUYING. Anybody wanting better has too much money this one does the job for me and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.
Purchased in February 2020 at The Goodguys for A$1,369.00.

Good colors but black bleeding is an issue
Its a good TV if you are watching bright pictures. When the dark (Night scenes/darker indoor scenes) needs displaying, TV fails miserably. For a ~ $2000 TV, I think it is unacceptable. Black bleeding is an issue when you try to enjoy a movie. All dark areas are covered with white lighting it is painful to watch.
On a positive note, colors are vibrant and its has a nice display. OS is very good and easy to use. Dolby ATMOS and Dolby Vision works a treat ! If you are looking for a media room TV, then I suggest to look elsewhere as the darker th...Read more
e room, worst the darker scenes look. I have contacted LG to investigate the issue and it is under review at the moment. I will post an update when I hear back from them. The tech came to look at the TV agreed it is an issue. Updated on the 06/01/2020 According to LG, the TV is within the manufactures standards. This confirms my worst fears of poor quality of the TV. Please refer to the pictures and make your own judgement. IF that is acceptable,I wont be touching another LG product with a 10m pole. Poor customer service and even poorer quality products according to LG standards. Please dont wast your money, if you want a TV buy a Sony or similar quality TV. My 7 year old Sony TV and the new TLC 4K TVs I have at home dont have any of these issues.. I am extremely disappointed with the outcome.. Final Update 02/03/2020Purchased in July 2019.

Sorry Keith, I have not tried to play movies from a USB. Unfortunately the TV is mounted on the wall so I can not even test it. As an alternative, if you have a Bluray player plugged in, try doing it via that. That's the only thing I can think of. Hope it helps
Don't use USB to play movies. Still got old Panasonic 3D bluray player to record movies on TV channels. Also play 4k/ bluray movies on Panasonic 4K player. Or play movies bought from Google movies and TV shows using inbuilt app on LG TV.
You can play from usb stick or usb drive upto 1Tb. BUT it needs to be formatted by TV first. Then copy files to it with windows. Some osx might mess up the formatting. mp4, mkv is best. avi is ok but is huge for 4k.
