DOA power mop. Poor outcome with resolution - video
It’s quiet, it sits nicely in its stand, but the mop head is really poor.
One of the main reasons I bought it.
Update: now it doesn’t turn on - AVOID
The pads rarely spin and I haven’t seen any water come out of it yet. I can’t see any videos online to show if the action is normal so I assume it is.
Just a bit of a letdown after taking the jump away from Dyson.
Purchased in September 2020.
Carefully evaluated many stick vacuums and very happy that I choose this one.
What is hard to decipher is the varying reviews on these types of vacs in general.
What I had: a modern, quality name brand barrel type - and I've never used it again. My place is 1/3 short carpet and 2/3 tiles
What I like about the LG: The hard floor head. So impressed with this attachment. It does a great job of tiled floors. It's effective, it is quiet! My experience with other vacs (other owners) is that the carpet brushes are noisy on hard floors. The ha...rd floor head is good at picking dirt etc off hard floors and goes right up to the edge. You don't need anything other than the lowest speed so it conserves battery (and it's QUIET). The vac is very manoeuvrable and goes under my lounge no problem. The carpet head is also good at what it does. This setup removes lint from the carpet that my barrel, with motorised head, wouldn't. It lifts the pile better than my corded barrel too. For a quick clean, speed 1 or 2 is ok. To lift the pile on my short nap carpet and thoroughly clean I need the high speed, and that will expend that battery in the time it takes to clean 2 bedrooms floor to floors all corners, crevices etc. But - you have the second battery. The carpet head direct on the motor is great for the car carpets too.

I recently replaced my Dyson upright & stick vacuum with an LG cord zero & couldn’t be more impressed. I vacuumed the carpets with the Dyson then with my new LG & you wouldn’t believe the dirt it picked up & how the carpet pile stood up. The vacuum comes with a hard floor & carpet head & both work well the main thing I’ve noticed is NO HAIR stuck in the brushes! The Dyson was so much maintenance to remove hair stuck on the rollers it was exhausting. 1 month with the LG & still haven’t had to dismantle & cut out the hair. A big annoyance with Dy...son is when disconnecting heads & sections it’s a 2 handed operation as the latch is on the part you want to leave behind. The LG is the opposite so attachments can be removed with one hand. The only concern I have is you have to remove the cylinder inside the barrel to remove all the debris sucked up & im concerned this isn’t robust enough last over time. Well see?? Lastly with 2 batteries I never run out mid vacuum or when the previous user forgot to put on charge. Love this product so far
Great product when not broken. Bad after sales service.
I was very happy with my Cord Zero & love the head for my hard floors. However the multi floor tool has fallen apart. I put a claim in under warranty, received a phone call advising the claim has been approved & the new part would be shipped. I understand there are delays with shipping at the moment so 3 weeks later I followed up for the tracking number of my parcel. I was then advised by customer service that the part is out of stock with no ETA available. How can a company like LG not know their production schedule?! Still waiting for a respo...nse from customer service. Meanwhile I am left with a half working vacuum cleaner that can't properly clean my carpeted floors. Not ideal with 2 young kids in the house 24/7. Good product when it works but bad after sales support. Should have gone with Dyson.
An Expensive Failure
Almost 2 years ago we tossed up between the latest Dyson and the LG A9. The clincher was the second battery so we could the whole house which is average sized. One battery died within 9 months. Replaced under 12 month warranty. The 2 year warranty for the actual cleaner expires next month. The second battery has died and they cost about $50 to replace. The performance has reduced markedly. Cost $850. An expensive failure. Should have spent a few hundred dollars and got the Dyson V11. I cannot recommend the LG A9X2.
This vacuum cleaner is handy so light weight great suction very portable love the stand that it comes with couldn’t ask for anything more in a cordless vacuum cleaner really

So we had a Dyson for a number of years and died a month ago ,so I chose to purchase the LG cord zero as I had read some great reviews plus I liked the extra battery, attachments that came with it but I wasn't so sure about the drive mop head as I didn't think I would use it.
I have timber floor throughout my house including bedrooms, and its great! I am so happy with my purchase, the suction is fantastic ,love using the different attachments, but the mop head is wonderful! My floors looked like they have been buffed and were shiny and the fact that it vacuums and mops at the same time means you don't waste time vacuuming first!
Bought December 2019 - broken twice - customer service shocking
The vacuum sucks well
We bought due to the mop head cleaner thinking would be a revolution.
Dec 2019 (day 2)
Like many other comments in this review no water was being ejected onto the mop pads - sent pics to LG cust service who said after 2 weeks of review they would send out new mop head, after waiting two weeks called up to see status of delivery to be told they do not send out parts and I had been misinformed - I got asked to wait for a bag they would send to put it in and send to a service centre (which would have been another 4weeks min w...

Good on hard floor
I Use the vacuum on hard floors-tile and vinyl. It fills quickly and can be quite loud along the tiles however picks dirt up well and is easy to empty.

Excellent, I wonder how I`ve done without all these years
This LG A9Pro is excellent. I can`t do without this machine. It is so versatile, lite, easy to use. It comes with 2 batteries a plethora of attachments, even a floor mop. However I`m a bit sceptical about the stated battery life guide, but still wouldn`t trade this for another electric monster. It cleans carpets BETTER than my electric vacuum, very easy to clean/empty when I`m done. It still amazes me how well this little machine cleans. Excellent Quality and design. Couldn`t do without it now that I have experienced the difference.

Great for a house with pets!
We recently bought a house with tiled floors and carpeted bedrooms. After looking around we decided the LG Cord Zero as it had a great sounding mop function which would be brilliant for the tiles.
The vacuum itself has an incredible suction power and is super easy to use with a really good battery life, and the attachments are brilliant for lounges and corners.
Although the power mop is handy for a quick light once over, in my opinion it doesn’t give the tiles a good proper ‘clean’.
I’m super happy with it though, and the service from LG has been top level.
This is a beast
We just purchased this on the weekend. We were tossing up between LG and Dyson, after having two Dyson’s. We couldn’t be happier. This is a brilliant product, built with quality materials, spare battery and multiple heads at less than half the price of the Dyson. I would definitely recommend this vac to anyone/everyone
Good vac with very poor battery quality
I have Makita cordless products that one 5amp hour battery can run a grinder for 5x longer than what the lg battery can run the cord zero. I think Lg should do a deal with makita to supply their batteries and send me a couple new ones . Other than crap batteries the vac itself is fine in my opinion.
Great lightweight quick use vacuum
I have timber floors and a thick carpet and the two heads are wonderful to pick up all dust and debris from the floor. I love that there isn't a button to hold to keep it on like the Dyson you have to hold your finger down to use it. 2 battery chargers are great. Wonderful and quick to use rather than getting out the old big, heavy vacuum that you have to plug in to the power points and keep changing around the house.

This is just What I Need!
I had been tossing to buy between dyson or LG, and i was so grateful i chose LG! I have carpet and floor tiles at my place and this vacuum is just perfect! Adjustable height and spare batteries make my life so much easier! The power suction is great for my need! Most importantly, I adore the accessories that come with it. It comes in a beautiful packaging too!
It sucks because it doesn’t!!!!
Used it on all surfaces and at the beginning it was great now it barely holds a charge and the dust canister is sooo annoying to empty! Never again LG
The LG is a little beauty, stays charged for 15 mins plus and does a great job! It charges very quickly too a too, just have to push abit harder. Mine came with two heads but Im only using the one for tiles so far, it glides beautifully
Review of LG CordZero A9
I love this stick vacuum. It is easy to use and even my kids love to use it. We were initially going to buy the Ultimate model, however as the salesperson pointed out, the mop nozzle does not heat up (like a proper steam mop does) so it's not as effective as killing germs like a proper steam mop. So we decided to go with the next model 'down.' It comes with quite a few attachments which have holders on the stand itself and some other attachments in an accessory box so it's handy when cleaning the car or hard to reach areas. We have found this g...reat value for money because of its versatility, the tools and the extra battery it comes with and as you would expect, it works well on tiles as well as carpet. The only down side to this is the barrel is on the small side, but is easy to empty.
Purchased in December 2019 for A$600.00.
Fire risk! Spend over 1k to be left with no vac after it smokes up
worked okay for couple of months
charged it one day and I usually don't vac at night but my daughter had sand on the carpet so 8pm go to get the vac off charge and I smell smoke, I open the top where the filter is and smoke comes out, all of it is burning hot and melting! I would hate to think what would have happened if I didn't need to use it that night! It was in the laundry next to my 3 young kids rooms and lg don't seem to care at all!!
Purchased for A$1,099.00.
Can't live without!
I needed a new vacuum. I cordless one but didn't want to buy a Dyson (for my own reasons) and I did some research and came across the Cord Zero. My brother had one and he also recommended. This has been a life changer for me! I enjoy vacuuming again which my wife does love. I recommend reading the instructions and ensuring the filters are always cleaned and you will never loose suction. My boy has bad asthma so it was a given for me but just in case others have issues, that will most likely solve them. This sits out of the way and with 3 separa...te suction strengths, it is perfect for any mess around the whole house. Battery life isn't great but it's cordless so what do you expect? I can do my whole house on one battery, something two (my model came with two batteries).
Questions & Answers
Hi, the hard floor power head to my A9 Ultimate has stopped working - does not spin at all when attached. It moves a very small amount when vacuum is initially turned on, but then nothing. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, was there a reason it was doing this? Thank you
Purchased the A9 essential maybe 4 months ago, within the first 2 weeks I had it back at the place of purchase due to batteries not charging (would put on charge at 6pm wake up in the morning and was still flashing on one bar) they replaced the charging dock and appears to have sorted that issue. Now a couple months later it will not power up? You press the power button and the battery displays comes up and the third bar flashes but that's it? Any idea why it would be doing this? I have cleaned and rinsed and filters ect and didn't help? Switched the batteries ect and nothing
My issue (poor suction) is different to what you're experiencing so I'm not sure I can be of any help to you. I suggest you take it back to the retailer and demand a refund, or if it is still under warranty, get the retailer to send it back to LG for their assessment. Good luck!
Can the LG model A9 stick vacuum be used on Bamboo wooden floors? Some other makes are reported to scratch wooden floors. I want to buy one stick cordless vacuum for wooden floors and thick pile carpets on stairs and floors. Appreciate your feedback. Pamela.
Thanks Kerry, I’ll have to rethink my purchase for a more expensive vacuum stick with a wooden floor attachment.
