Leaves a grimy, swirly film on floors...so disappointed!
I coveted this mop head for my LG cordless vacuum for about a year before finally buying one. I found very few objective online reviews...so here’s mine after three weeks of continuous use. I have three dogs and an average area of hard floors so a power mop seemed just the thing. Unfortunately the saying, “if it sounds too good to be true...” applies to this mop. I’m really disappointed because it leaves a faint swirly, dirty film on my floors (porcelain tiles and floating floor). I’ve tried everything, including machine-washing the mop heads i...Read more
n hot water after every single use, and even changing them for clean ones half way through but it doesn’t help. It’s great how it vacuums as well as mops but it’s just not leaving my floors clean at all. It takes just as much time and effort as a regular mop (I was using a spin mop) but without the desired result. By the time you fill the reservoir, dampen the mop heads and clip the Power Drive Mop head onto the vacuum, you then need to proceed so slowly over your floor mopping/vacuuming. It’s tedious as the mop heads turn slowly and there is gap in between them so you need to go over and over and over the floor. For the same effort, I’d much rather use my spin mop where you can use hot water and detergent, and rinse the dirt from the mop head as you go. With this mop, you are trying to wash the floor with grimy mop heads (once they accumulate some dirt)...it just doesn’t work. My floors aren’t even that dirty to begin with. I have to keep using the darn thing too, having convinced my husband we should buy it. But when he’s not home, I’m going back to using the spin mop. Thank goodness he doesn’t (usually) read reviews like this! This is a review for the Power Drive mop head only, not the LG Cordless Vacuum which I absolutely love and have owned and used daily for over a year now. So...save your money, unless you only have a very small, cleanish hard floor area.1 comment

Update - power issue was a filter problem: Battery stopped working in a just over year
Update: I managed to fix the power issue by replacing all the filters (even though they weren’t that old), and the battery holds a 25 min charge again. It still hunts up and down the power mode, but it is functioning. Actually has been working pretty well for two years now!
We spent around $800 on a CordZero and its pretty disappointing. After only a year of average use the battery already wont hold a charge, and the vacuum hunts in and out of power mode on its own. Its just below par at this price point.

got this vacuum 1.5 years and 9 months it's with the repair center, send it back 3 times to repair but the same problem still remind. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!
It will keep switching from lower mode to higher mode by itself and the battery will finish in 10mins. i better buy a broom than this rubbish

Review of LG CordZero A9
I love this stick vacuum. It is easy to use and even my kids love to use it. We were initially going to buy the Ultimate model, however as the salesperson pointed out, the mop nozzle does not heat up (like a proper steam mop does) so it's not as effective as killing germs like a proper steam mop. So we decided to go with the next model 'down.' It comes with quite a few attachments which have holders on the stand itself and some other attachments in an accessory box so it's handy when cleaning the car or hard to reach areas. We have found this g...Read more
reat value for money because of its versatility, the tools and the extra battery it comes with and as you would expect, it works well on tiles as well as carpet. The only down side to this is the barrel is on the small side, but is easy to empty.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Fire risk! Spend over 1k to be left with no vac after it smokes up
worked okay for couple of months
charged it one day and I usually don't vac at night but my daughter had sand on the carpet so 8pm go to get the vac off charge and I smell smoke, I open the top where the filter is and smoke comes out, all of it is burning hot and melting! I would hate to think what would have happened if I didn't need to use it that night! It was in the laundry next to my 3 young kids rooms and lg don't seem to care at all!!

Don't Even Think About It!
Purchased this unit from Bing Lee 2 months ago. From the very start this unit did not perform as claimed; the batteries will not last more than 15 mins each on the normal mode. Hit turbo and your lucky to get 5 mins out of it. The Mop head leaves our stones floors streaky and they're not even gloss. Now the power head won't spin unless you press down hard on the handle. Absolutely not worth the $1000 and furthermore LG Customer Service is useless. Been round in circles for the last 30 mins with a Live Chat agent and all I can get out of them is...Read more
they will have to assess the unit before they can determine if I qualify for a refund. Yet to get out of them where it goes to be assessed! Going back to Dyson - never had an issue with them and their customer service is second to none.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Can't live without!
I needed a new vacuum. I cordless one but didn't want to buy a Dyson (for my own reasons) and I did some research and came across the Cord Zero. My brother had one and he also recommended. This has been a life changer for me! I enjoy vacuuming again which my wife does love. I recommend reading the instructions and ensuring the filters are always cleaned and you will never loose suction. My boy has bad asthma so it was a given for me but just in case others have issues, that will most likely solve them. This sits out of the way and with 3 separa...Read more

Excellent Vacuum
I am a long-time Dyson user and always loved it. I chose LG this time because it comes with an extra battery. LG seems to clean slightly better and hairs do not get stuck in the head either. So far I have been really pleased with the product!

worst vacuum ive ever used
I spent over 600 dollars on this and i have to say it is terrible it has not great suction but gladly it has a turbo button which you use quite frequently but then i also spend more time unblocking the thing than i actually do vacuuming it is a real nightmare it constantly gets blocked at the inlet and its not through anything large it just has a shocking design ive had better 50 dollar items from cheap retailers believe me i dont even have carpets i have floor boards maybe its ok on carpet but if i wanted another vacuum cleaner it would not be one of these it is garbage

Better than I expected
Excellent vacuum. Better than I expected. Great on tiles and carpet. It picks up fine dust and hair so easily. Has so many attachments and the spare battery is great. (Although I havent had to use it yet!) There are 3 speeds however I only use it on the second speed as this seems to be effective enough. I now only use this vacuum and have given my corded vacuum away! Highly recommended.

Would buy again and highly recommend for price and efficiency
I use this on both tiled and carpet floors, comes with attachment for doing your car etc. Also has a floor stand great if your renting as you wouldn't need to put holes in the wall. Also holds spare battery.

Cleaning is fun with this vacuum cleaner!
I cannot believe how efficient and easy to use this cleaner is!
The secret is in the electricaly rollong head that aids the vacuuming.
Although I almost finish cleanning the house with one battery, the two batteries are essential. It is great to have a spare battery just in case.
Now I cannot imagine going back to the hussle of my old bulky VC.
I love it.

Good cordless vacuum
This vacuum is quite good. The suction is ok and the battery life is ok too. The filtration is excellent and the noise level is not too bad. When cleaning with the powered head attachments, it performs very well.

Great motor, disappointing casing quality :(
Ive had the LG cord zero A9 for almost 12 months. It is my first cordless vacuum cleaner. My home is pretty small, no Capet or rugs- just laminate boards and tiles. A family home with pets.
Pros
- great to have a second battery
- convenient to have the stand that comes with it
- great suction, perfect for every day use
- love being able to wash the filter
- havent needed to use my big corded Vax since purchasing this vacuum

- poor quality casing - for a $800 vacuum cleaner I would expect durable, high quality casings, but as shown in pictures, bits have fallen off and cracked. Ive had to sticky tapes bits back on! Very disappointed. Replacement parts can be bought but expensive (unreasonably so given how cheaply they are made) - on/off button is starting to get stuck - great for every day use, not powerful enough for good result on car carpetSimilar opinion? Good array of features
This is a new purchase so it's not about reliability.
Make sure your recycling bin is reasonably empty as the amount of packaging and it's weight is immense, I do not recall any prior product including my V6 Dyson getting even close.
Firstly everything that was meant to be in the box was, and the array of attachments is good. Mine came with a separate box of nozzles which had no redemption requirements, aka Dyson. The unit feels sturdy and the balance of the units weight seems to be about the same as my Dyson V6, the biggest plus is the abili...Read more
ty to swap out the battery unlike any Dyson model including the most current which was my biggest reason for not going with them this time around. I mostly decided this because my Dysons charge time is huge especially after a max power session which if you don't finish everything the first time then completing the job is about 4/5 hours away as the battery has to cool down before recharging commences. The LG storage stand is well thought out and whether wall mounted or free standing, it should suit most users and the cord to charge it is about 1m long (same as my Dyson). It is a lot quieter than my Dyson and had no trouble picking up (on the lowest setting) dust and hard particles from my floating floor. On the high setting the suction is good but you will only get about 10 mins with a powered head (inc the mop) attached per battery. The mop feature is great and is meant to be for maintenance type cleaning, it's not designed to remove years of grime or excessive debris and if you keep on top of things you will be fine. You don't need to vacuum hard floors first either (unless they are way overdue for a clean) as it does both a vacuum and mop at the same time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

USELESS IN THE CAR
If I didn’t have a car to clean, I probably would have given this machine a high score. However, the main reason I wanted a cord free vacuum is for keeping my four wheeled “pride and joy” clean, without all the hassle of extension cords and threading electric cords through doors/windows etc.
This machine does a really good job inside the house because of its motorised head. However, LG failed to include a mini motorised head accessory for cleaning in small spaces such as car interiors. As a result, in my opinion, the Cord Zero is absolutely U...Read more

Do yourself a favour and buy it!
Had this vacuum for well over a year and it's the best thing. I worked were I sold both this and the Dyson and I'd always recommend. Forget the ear squealing noise, the lg is quieter. No hand cramps from holding the trigger it's just press and go. Battery run out, no drama put in the other one! Great for rental properties with the stand and properties with pets.

Hi, the hard floor power head to my A9 Ultimate has stopped working - does not spin at all when attached. It moves a very small amount when vacuum is initially turned on, but then nothing. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, was there a reason it was doing this? Thank you

Justan. Sorry I can't help. I'm a bit of a neanderthal with these things. All I can say is that I have been haopy, for over two years, with the way my LG cleaner performs, and very pleased with the only contact i have had with the Service back up team, Regards Jim
Jayme L.asked
Purchased the A9 essential maybe 4 months ago, within the first 2 weeks I had it back at the place of purchase due to batteries not charging (would put on charge at 6pm wake up in the morning and was still flashing on one bar) they replaced the charging dock and appears to have sorted that issue. Now a couple months later it will not power up? You press the power button and the battery displays comes up and the third bar flashes but that's it? Any idea why it would be doing this? I have cleaned and rinsed and filters ect and didn't help? Switched the batteries ect and nothing

Hi ,
My issue (poor suction) is different to what you're experiencing so I'm not sure I can be of any help to you. I suggest you take it back to the retailer and demand a refund, or if it is still under warranty, get the retailer to send it back to LG for their assessment. Good luck!
I have the same problem with A9 ultimate.... app says its charging/cleaning/what power mode, the power head runs, but the actual vacuum motor doesn't run. it worked once, then not again. had it for 3 days. its going back.

Can the LG model A9 stick vacuum be used on Bamboo wooden floors? Some other makes are reported to scratch wooden floors. I want to buy one stick cordless vacuum for wooden floors and thick pile carpets on stairs and floors. Appreciate your feedback. Pamela.

I wouldn't use it on wooden floors its turbo brush may scratch
Thanks Kerry, I’ll have to rethink my purchase for a more expensive vacuum stick with a wooden floor attachment.
The next model up comes with a HARD FLOOR BRUSH, this is a soft felt like pad roller and shouldn't scratch wooden floors. I suggest you check it out at a retailer
