Great two door unit with ice dispenser
We brought the fridge in October 2018 and it has not missed a beat. It is the charcoal matt grey model and looks especially smart. It keeps perfect temperature in both the fridge and freezer compartments and we have never lost any vegetables or fruit as all compartments work especially well together. The separate door in the fridge area with the knock light is easy to use and takes a bit of getting used to but easy enough. We especially like the ice and water dispenser. We have used them for parties etc.. and have never run out of ice or crushed ice. The fridge is now 18 months old and we are extremely happy with the purchase. Would recommend to anyone considering purchasing a two door fridge with plumbed water connection.

Great Fridge, Plugged it in and it works.
Having bought the Samsung 719L opponent, I wish we just bought this one first.
~ Freezer handles are rebated vertical, so debris can fall in it.
~ Doors are so heavy.
~ Angle of the fridge cannot be visually vertical when actual level.
~ Veggies Froze on first use.
~ Only has one front roller wheel, this is an issue and it has gouged marks on our timber floor - 2 wheels would overcome this.
~ Lock Button only locks the settings not the Water and Ice (really????....).
~ No Door alarm Hushing....

The perfect fridge freezer
I totally love the design of this fridge freezer it is the most practical fridge I've ever had, it just works perfectly for us. Things are clearly visible so nothing gets left at the back turning furry! Love the door in door to for just grabbing a drink. Its also a very good looking fridge. Ice dispenser is very neat and compact so not taking up a large chunk of the fridge or freezer
As mentioned by others is does run cold, but I have it on the highest setting and salad is now cold not frozen. For me I couldn't be happier

Love our new fridge! Stylish and functional!
We have been using our new fridge for 5 weeks now. We love it. The door in door feature is really handy for our family of 7 and I can only assume the energy bill will also show a decrease as we're not having to open the full fridge completely to get to those regular use items like milk, juice, margarine and sauces etc. It was really easy to hook up to the water connection and the ice maker made our first lot of ice an hour or so after being turned on which we were amazed by. We've had no ice clogs and absolutely no problems with this fridge. It looks fantastic in our new kitchen.

Instaview is a nice 'gimmic' that you will never use at home.
I loved the look of this fridge at the retailers, liked the extra room inside due to the ice maker etc. all being mounted in the door unlike the Samsung that houses it in the fridge space. Loved the gimmic of the Instaview door ... but since the novelty wore off, I never use it.
The door in door is a brilliant idea & the light coming on when you open the outer door is a great feature. I find the fridge section not as roomy inside as I was expecting & think the bigger 910 litre version would have been better choice for my needs. The freezer se...ction is great with a combination of door shelves & slide out small drawers ... a much better idea than one huge door on the front & BIG bin type drawers that are too heavy when filled. So AAA+++ for the freezer section design. I have been having problems with vegetables & salad freezing in the vegetable crispers. I have adjusted the fridge / freezer temperature to +3 / -20 & still have frozen lettuces. I was expecting there to be some cold air grille / diverters that I could adjust the flow of cold air into the crisper but there is NOTHING about it in the 'Owners Manual' which is a disgrace for a $4500 refrigerator ! :-(

Nice fridge BUT ...
We purchased this fridge as we have had LG fridges for the past 20 years and consider them still to be a great choice. Our new fridge was delivered with a faulty/broken wheel that meant it could not sit level. So they had to order us a new one which we received a week later. This one could not be levelled and the more they tried the more the doors were out of alignment. One of the doors jutted out so we were told that it would have to be replaced and it would take a month to get a new door. A month later they turned up with a new door but ...decided that the new door would not fix the problem and again tried adjusting it and the more they adjusted it the more out of alignment the doors would get. Again they decided to send up a new fridge. A week later (2 days ago) we received our new fridge. The doors are perfect but the fridge leans to the right but when they started to try and straighten it the doors again would go out of alignment. So we told them to leave it alone and we are going to put up with a fridge that slightly leans to the right. Don't know what we will do if we ever move house. We bought the Mat Black model and it shows every fingerprint BUT we love our new fridge and LG/The Good Guys have been good replacing it but we have wasted so much $ food with having the fridge replaced so many times and just hope that its all been worth it. And the mat black looks sooo good in our all white kitchen.

Excellent quality, huge capacity and stylish looks
Purchased this fridge from the Good Guys (through their Ebay site). Had a 20% discount and a Cashback offer from LG at the time which took $1200 off the price. I don’t think I would have stretched the budget so high if I was paying full price. But it is an excellent fridge freezer.
In short, it’s massive, more than capable for our family of 3. Great freezer space and easy access to four large draws (two each side) and two shelves (one each side). Additional shelves in the doors are quite deep too. Impressive. A number of French Door fridges ...on the market have two large draws in the bottom freezer section, on a number we tried they seemed to be a bit clumsy and flimsy. Particularly in the Samsung models. Though I’ve noticed in the newer Samsung models now they have gone back to two doors and multiple shelves/draws like this LG model. In the fridge, there is a huge capacity as well. The ice maker in the door is very well designed and compact. It doesn’t intrude on the door space anywhere near as much as other French Door fridges around. That was a big plus for my wife and I. The door in door feature has been around a while with LG and I really like it as well. I thought it might just be a bit of a novelty but with the fridge being quite large, the main doors are pretty bulky and heavy. So just popping in to grab the juice or milk is quick and easy. The light feature is definitely a novelty, the difference in price between the non light and the light was so small though that I went for this one. It’s a bit of a talking point when people come over, besides that we rarely use it. My three year old probably had the most fun with it for a short period of time. Style wise it’s a great addition to our new kitchen. No protruding handles was another plus point for me. They are integrated under and top of the doors and this looks great. The wifi; it might be used for diagnostics. I’ve had a couple of alerts telling me someone has left the fridge door open. All good if you are in the house to close it! Again, it’s not something that influenced me to buy this fridge.
This fridge is AMAZING. Has so many features and so few flaws.
First the bad ;
1.Fridge arrived and after it was unpacked found a a "20 cent piece size" dirt mark on the interior fridge section. Took some work to remove it.
2. Poor workmanship on a panel on the back of the unit, doesn't sit right.
3. The left hand side vegetable draw hits the right hand side fridge door when you try to open it
4. Do not spill anything liquid in the fridge as it is impossible to clean under the glass and the plastic that holds it.
5. Even though all instructions were followed for the ice, the taste of the water filter still permeates and is very unpleasant to drink.
1. The lighting is FANTASTIC ...
lots of space
I love the colour although may be easily smudged with hand prints. I like the draws and water filter. its quite functional and easy to use. It is bit pricey, but you are getting the quality of a good smart fridge. I can't be happier with my fridge, worth the investment
Questions & Answers
Has anyone had any problems with the fridge cooling, our food is rotting and food is just cool not cold. Was set at 3 then 1 but no difference at all. Thank you in advance.
Same issue. After only 6 months our fridge has a gas leak and has stopped freezing and cooling. LG have been absolutely hopeless getting the matter resolved.
Yes, our is the same
We had one of our kids put a fridge into shop display mode (looks like it's on, no cooling). Had to look it up to put back into normal.
I bought it few days back and happy with all the functions. Two seriously annoyed is cold water is not iced cold and crushed ice is not crushed, it's just broken pieces of ice. I desperately wanted these two functions.
Is any way to adjust water temperature?
I don't believe the water temp is adjustable.
Our GF-708 instaview water isn't as cold as our previous Samsung fridge water. It's due to the fact the water/ice maker is compact making the water cooler pipes shorter and therefore the water doesn't have much volume and room temp water has to mix with fridge cold water almost immediately.
The first glass will obviously be the coldest.
Our previous fridge had a large icemaker and equally large water cooler giving a litre of cold water before it slowly mixed with room temp water.
That's the price you pay for having an "all in door" very compact cooler and icemaker.
My problem is the Instaview door light comes on with slight noises, things like closing a pantry door or placing a plate on the bench. It's become super sensitive after 18 months. The light still functions correctly when tapping the door but it now lights up with certain sounds.
I have this fridge for almost a week already as a replacement of Samsung 725L 3doors. But I dislike the left door where it felt heavy and slam shut. Receiving the link to align the door from the LG chat representative and it still not working. The door slam shut is loud to me. I don’t have the problem with my other fridge. Could anyone please let me know how did you rectify the problem. Very much appreciate for your all input.
