    Why are spare parts dicontinued

    published

My fridge has been excellent for the past 12 years but recently the doors began to heat up. After blogging for problems we bought a new motor for the fan but the fan still doesn't work because the circuit board is faulty.
Can't get it replaced or repaired
All we can do is dump it
Do LG only expect their fridges to last 10 to 12 years
Very disappointed as the fridge is still in excellent condition
why can't spare parts be kept for at least 15 years

    Date PurchasedJun 2005

Amazing fridge freezer with heaps of room and never skips a beat.

Love everything about this unit. It has plenty of room in both fridge and freezer. Easy to clean and easy to find things because the storage areas are great. Nice big crispers and deep drawers in freezer also. Door storage compartments in both sections are excellent and hold heaps. Well lit and light casts through the different shelves and levels. Will want to find something similar when it eventually stops working. Being going strong since 2006,now 2015. Very happy. Only changed a light globe in all this time.

There are some unusual wires at the top of each door on a second hand one of these that I am buying. Can you confirm that these wires are supposed to be there? I have pics if that helps. Thanks!

Our fridge does not have any wires at the top of the doors.
