When using the crushed iced from the dispenser, it comes out over a wide area with most going in the glass but some spraying over a wider area and ending up on the floor - does anyone else have this issue?

I purchased recently and connected to power supply. Generally runs smoothly but sometimes high sound is heard which is even disturbing people sitting within a reasonable distance of about 10 mtrs. what could be the problem? I recorder the abnormal sound and went to the shop and complained and they replaced with a new one. The problem is same in the replaced new fridge. Request to all well wishers and LG technical expert to share your experiences of this fridge.

Hi i generally find that the only time it does make loud noise is when the pump is re-filling the ice despencer and when the ice drops. Other than that i dont hear mine. It mat be more constant depending how often u use the ice and water dispenser and if not using ice now ots coolong down maybe switch it off for a time and see if the noise reduces.
Cheers

I purchased 2 weeks ago and mine also has started making a strange noise 30min or so. Seems like the dispenser but we havent even started using it. Not sure what to make of this noise

If the dispenser is empty it will still make a noise - possibly worse than if full of water. This is normal operation.

We have just purchased this fridge, how long until the water starts pumping from the water tank to the ice maker?

It should start pumping straight away... if you check the middle (water) button and that is working then the ice maker should be filling too..it takes quite awhile before it freezes the blocks but once they're frozen it should empty into the container and refill with water....we sometimes have to jiggle it a bit as with the heat it can freeze in the tubes....if you've just bought it though and not got ice blocks by the next day then I feel you should contact the suppliers....hope this helps as they do tend to play up a bit after changing the tank sometimes....

Okay our replacement is working fine yet our first one purchased had a problem producing the ice worked fine for about a month then just stopped...you have to wait basicly till next day for ice to start coming through if you have any problems down the line, you will get no help from LG as they fobbed us off and had to keep speaking to store we bought from which in the end we threatened legal action to store and LG within an hour store manager said just replace fridge/Freezer we have had no problems over summer so everything fine, hope you didn't end up with a lemon like us with first one we bought .

With the icemaker, does it continue to make ice during the night hours or can you set times for it?

It continues to make ice until the ice collector is full. When you remove ice, it empties the ice tray and refills from the water container stored in the fridge. It doesn't have a timer just always has ice! You can also remove the ice yourself - if you have a party or something and will need a heap of ice. That way it will refill the ice storage container again or as many times as you empty it.
