A great machine, will buy again and will recommend to friends and family
We recently purchased this machine, it is an excellent piece of equipment. Quiet and actually washes clothes well - everything I want in a washing machine.
This is the 4th LG product we have purchased, and the terrible quality of the Instruction Manual is a constant. Strange how they can make such good products, and issue such poor documentation at the same time. Luckily there is a strong You-tube support community of LG product owners who can guide you in how to use the appliances.

Great washing machine with lots of different options from 30min to wool and sensitives
washing delicatedms, baby clothes and my husband's dirty work wear. The LG handles it well. Its fairly quiet compare to our previous machine.
I love the adjustable temperature amd spin amount as well as all the different cycle options.
Would highly recommend.

Buyer beware. Life's Good until you're front door seal is damaged
7 months in, starting with a leak through the front door, we noticed a small tear in the front door seal. Called up LG service and were told the part isn't covered under warranty and would only be replaced if it was found to be a manufacturing defect. We were then told they would send a technician but first we had to agree to their weaselly words and terms: if found to be at fault (how are they exactly meant to prove this?) we would have to wear the cost of the call-out fee $149 + labour (prob some exorbitant rate per minute) + parts ($75 on e...bay). It's worth noting you could have this issue with any brand machine (we previously had a Bosch for 8 years before a similar issue) but the price of getting a small part, such as the front door seal replaced, costing potentially more or close to the original purchase price and placing the weight of blame on to the customer, speaks a lot to their attitude towards customers and customer service. We won't be buying an LG branded goods in future. Note to anyone with a torn front door seal you can try and repair/hack it yourself using Loctite Kintsuglue. It's a moldable blutac-like putty ($10 from Bunnings) that hardens after 24 hours but remains flexible. Search for "sugru saves the day" video. Give it 0 stars if it was possible. Don't expect LG to save the day.

Worst machine ever - ruins clothes!
I bought this less than 3 months ago and realised after the first few wash cycles that my socks had become extremely loose. I first thought that this was a coincident but it kept happening again and again. The machine BREAKS the elastics. It has also RUINED my favourite quilt cover which costed more than $150 among and STRETCHED some of my shirts. I would NEVER buy LG again!! There "service" is almost none existent. I wasted hours writing emails and trying to get through to the "case manager" and when I finally was promised an appointment no on...e showed up on the day. Instead they called me to schedule an appointment, so the appointment had never been booked in the first place. Then finally two "technicians" came. I highly doubt they were actual technicians. They were completely unprofessional and didn't do any tests. They only turned the drum once and switched on the machine to check out the different programs but they didn't run any cycle. They then told me I would have washed my cloths on a too high temperature. Apparently I would need to wash my clothes at 20 degrees. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! I then even showed him the label in my shirt which clearly stated 30 degrees and told him that I have ALWAYS washed my clothes at 30 degrees in my previous machines and it has never been a problem. Nevertheless, he wrote in his fake report that I would wash my clothes at too hot temperature. I got a call from the case manager a week later who told me again I would wash my clothes at too high temperatures. LYERS!!! I will take legal actions against LG. My law degree comes in handy for such dishonest companies.

Good washing machine
I have no problem with the washing machine and used it a lots of times and have a big family and lots of friends too and good product too have a good day
Easy and efficient washer with wide range of optional settings
We are a 2 adult household with frequent house guests including grandchildren so wash a lot of linen and towels in addition to usual clothing.
I generally use the Mixed wash cycle though also frequently use the Quick wash cycle. My washing consistently comes out clean with the typically expected level of tangling such as with shirt sleeves.
I often use the delay start function which is great to have the wash done and ready when I get up. The preset downloaded function of rinse and spin is handy for hand washes items however I often find the m...

Absolutely love it
This was our 1st frontloader, so we were a lttle hesitant at first, HOWEVER, after using it only once, I was hooked...its solid and so water efficient. I'm thrilled each time I use it.. we wash everything from delicate items through to my husbands work wear (grease monkey)..so its proven over and over again that is up for anything we throw at it..I'm also impressed with the minimal liquid detergent and water usage...very little environmental impact...

Got it fixed after extreme shakiness
Remove the transport latch or you will face shakiness. Forever. Never had such a terrible machine before until I met this one thats basically rocking up my life with its noise
It does the job but can be noisy sometimes. It dance in the laundry for good ten minutes while spinning. I use it for all type of clothes. Good machine overall

I have had this LG front loaded washing for a number of years and very happy with not only the large 8kg size but the way it cleans my clothes.

Quiet but no match for previous noisy LG
We had an LG front loader which apart from being noisy was brilliant. Foolishly, we gave it to our son and he loves it.
This current model, while wonderfully quiet, does not match it at all.
If just one too many items, it seems necessary to do a 3 plus hr wash cycle. I do not have the time nor patience for this. And then today, I put in one king size flat sheet and one queen size fiona cover - the machine had ample room and decided it was a 1.5 hr wash cycle. I'm happy with that. But somehow at the last 10 minutes it became unbalanced and...
Questions & Answers
Hi everyone I love my LG front loader washer Model WD1275TC5W. However I cannot connect it to the Smart Thinq app. This is because this model does not have a Delay Start / Wifi button. I’m very disappointed because this was one of the selling points for this machine. Did any of you find this an issue?
Why avoid asking LG directly ?
I have this machine but it is only connected to the cold water. That is the way the laundry is set up. I change the setting to cold each time anyway. Just wondering about the steam cycles or hand washes that should be on warm. Does the machine heat the water or does it have to be connected to hot?
It will heat it by itself, also bad idea to always run a front loader on cold wash all the time, you'll get a build up of undissolved detergent on the spider arm and cause it to fail prematurely.
Then how do I do it? Run a cycle on warm and it will take the cold and heat it?
yes, front loaders heat there own water
is there a lint filter
No there's no lint filter, it has an automatic lint disposal system, there is a pump filter behind the cover on the bottom right
