Actually 4.5* Fantastic machine!
Actually 4.5* I have had this machine for about one year. It is truly fantastic. I run an airbnb business and have also bought beko and samsung washer/dryer combos. Both of them are cheaper and perfect for a guest machine in the kitchen areas. The LG is absolutely superior in all ways. I would guess its because of the huge drum size. I only have three problems hence 4.5* not 5*. 1. The room steams up quite a bit. 2. the wool setting shrunk my jumpers 3. It's no longer available so I can't buy two more!. If the newer model fixes the r...oom steaming up problem it will be perfect. If you don't know washer dryers combos you will need to take onto consideration all models take about 5-7 hours to wash and dry a full load. This takes about 5/1/2 which is great. Also it's a huge machine so check the measurement specifications. If you don't have a Window in your bathroom you will need to spend $350 on a dehumidifier I recommend brelville. This is obviously annoying, needs to be emptied and has to be taken into consideration.

Great washing/drying combo despite the bad reviews
I purchased the LG WDC1215HSVE concerned about the drying functionality as there are so many bad reviews about it. I proceeded with the purchase despite the bad reviews because I wanted a big washing machine that would fit my laundry to avoid doing many loads and to get less wrinkled clothes. I was gladly surprised by it, the drying works great and even my kids' most dirty clothes come out clean and with few wrinkles. The option to add an item in the middle of the cycle is a fantastic feature as I usually get something out of my kids' bedroom. We are a house of 4 people with a 6-year-old boy and a 6-month-old baby, lots of laundries to do and this washing machine make everything easier.

LG combo 15/8kg
We purchased LG washer dryer 15/8kg and do NOT recommend it for the following reasons:
1. There is hardly any water used to wash the clothes. Yes I understand it is economical on water usage but the clothes get just enough dampness to be wet. The spin motion is supposed to clean the clothes in the wash cycle according to LG customer care not the amount of water used.... crazy concept!
2. The reason you can pause and add clothes during wash cycle is because very little water is used to actually wash and clean the clothes... another crazy id...

Great size drum, drying not so great
I'm very happy with this machine, washes well and can easily wash big bulky doonas, delicates and woollens.
There's a couple of things that are not that great though:
1. Lots of washing options but seems cotton is the only one you'd use. Most washes can't be adjusted (i.e. Temperature)
2. Drying is ok, I would not purchase this machine if you are going to be using the dryer often as it leaves the lint in and around the drum resulting in the next wash having lots of lint left on you garments.
I think the price is worth it as a stand alone wa...shing machine and the dryer is just a bonus for those people that will just want to use it a few times a year when it's raining and you have to do a wash. Hopefully I don't have any issues like some of the reviews on here. I'll certainly update this review if I have issues.

Avoid, I love LG but this is not worth any money
I must start by saying I have a lot of LG products and love them, however this was my first LG washer dryer, and it will be my last LG one!!
Where to start?? Mmm I thought it would be great but nothing prepared me for the 18months following purchase, it washed well, it dried the clothes and the APP was good at telling me every time it finished a cycle, however, my laundry room got so damp I had no option but to leave the door open even during winter as the amount of steam would have caused damp/ mould issues in the house.
Then when 18months ...hit it broke, the display went and an error code appeared (the app told me it was the motor). So I lodged a repair under warranty, what a disaster!! It took 2 weeks for someone to attend and they came with no parts, despite me putting the error code on the repair paper and the display had broken, so they went away and said we will be back when we have parts, 6 weeks (yes that’s correct 6 weeks) went by and I constantly chased LG and the repair agent, who said they were waiting for parts to arrive in the county. They eventually turned up a week after LG confirmed the agent had the parts and no surprise it did not fix the machine. The repair guy was great, he chased when the other parts that might fix the machine could be delivered before he left and told me that none of the parts were even in the country and it would be anything from 2+ weeks and no guarantees. I escalated again the LG directly and said enough was enough after 9 weeks, they said they would look into it and 2 weeks later after about 4 phone calls to them I got a full refund (thanks LG). But clearly the unit has issues, because I opened my back door everytime I used the dryer, the repair agent said mine was the best condition he had ever seen, most go rusty inside due to the steam. Clearly LG have not managed to build a washer/dryer that matches others or meets the great life span of other products from LG.

Do not buy this product if you need a dryer
LG never tells you that the hot moisture is producing the backside of the machine. If you have this one you should check. In the product documentation and manual does not explain anything. I have called LG and they said this is normal.

Big washer - Terrible dryer!
This washer/dryer is huge and can handle a phenomenal amount of washing. That being said, you can expect it to take an entire day to dry that load.
You have the option to choose time dry which ranges from 30 mins to 2:30. The preset Airdry and Turbodry features take over 3 hours each.
We washed 6kg of dry clothes, and after a 4:30 hour wash/dry cycle, the clothes still come out damp. This meant another 3 hour drying cycle. This just isn't good enough for a machine with a $2000rrp.
The Steam feature does seem to 'plump' up the fabrics and it ma...

Poor LG customer care service
Faulty power supply. No parts available. No communication to tech's who repeatedly sent enquiries with no reply. after 3 1/2 weeks.yes a replacement.in the end, delivery is out of their area, and i'm supposed to take the machine back(95 kg and i paid for delivery) but I get store credit. I want my money back. Things go wrong, I get it, the LG customer care service experience is what I'm staying clear of in the future.goodbye LG

Constant problems and almost caught alight
About a year after purchasing this machine we had our first call out as the dryer wasn't drying and also it would often trip the electrical breaker in the house. The engineer blamed the socket so I paid to have an electrician change the socket and check the wiring but he said it was an issue with the machine. The LG engineer was called out cleaned inside and said had overheated due to lint and should be ok.
About 9 months later the issue happened again. The engineer came out and repeated the process. This time the plug was burned in the pins. H...

Questions & Answers
Hi we have a LG 15/8kg brand new washer dryer combo and it produces excessive amounts of heat when using the dryer. Our room does not have an exhaust system. This is insane and we were not informed by the sales rep or the manual that an exhaust system was needed.
we had the same issue and talked to LG... they said it is normal and they did nothing. I was thinking to report to Ombudsman but then I just decided not to buy LG. If you can return it please try it asap. I have talked to another victim and it was returned to Bing Lee. I bought it from Appliance Online and they didn't even answer my email or call... Hope you can solve the issue and don't buy LG.
Sadly that’s the LG machine, ours gave up completely and within warranty so we got a full refund thankfully. Then changed to another brand
This is so disappointing... we had a 10/6kg LG before this one and it had no vent for drying ie; the hot air was recirculated back into the machine so there was no humidity in the laundry. We purchased the same unit 15/8 thinking it would be the same drying system.... sadly a big mistake..... let’s hope ours breaks down to do we can vet rid of it... a complete disaster!
Hi is there any solution to venting the dryer steam? I Have the twinwash but this is the topwasher
My wall is all mouldy from this clear design fail for a $3000 machine I'm disappointed.
The tech that fixed it when it was leaking told me I have it more than far enough from the wall etc and that there are not vent options?
The machine is faulty.it should not be releasing the vapour outside of the machine.extra ventilation like leaving the laundry door open is not what is intended for this machine.if the water isn't all directly collected into, the tray, the machine is faulty.
I'll call LG but it seems to be how it is since its a steam dryer poorest design
I called them and they said it is normal... unbelievable.. You have to return the machine asap...
