Sorry to say this machine is beyond disappointing. And, lg phone help is even worse. The machine constantly tangles and rips shirts and long sleeve tops. Will barely ever finish a load of washing with an error unbalanced code flashing. Upon fixing the unbalanced clothing, it then fills with water again to then just tangle everything AGAIN..!!! So so frustrating. It’s taken me over 24 hours multiple times to finish just one load of washing. What a waste of energy and water.
When calling for help, all the call centre suggest was washing each item separately. Are you serious.!!!????? Beyond frustrated and disappointed Lg

I had the same problem with my machine that Trish had with the water level (machine washing in an inch of water). Additionally when I added more water manually so there was enough water level, the machine twisted the clothes so tightly they didn't wash properly. This machine is horrible and should be investigated by ACCC on Trishes behalf because it does not do what the product is sold to do which is clean your clothes and that is cause for a replacement or refund under Australian law last time I read it.
On a positive note Goodguys were great, they let me exchange the machine for a different brand. We were also convinced to try a front loader this time and we couldn't be happier with the machine.

Purchased this washing machine in May 2020 and it has not worked properly since it arrived. There are 10 water levels on the machine which can be set either manually or use the machines automatic sensor to detect the water level. For small loads it doesn't matter whether I set a water level of between 1 to 3 either manually or if the machine auto senses these levels, the machine puts about 1-inch of water into the machine so my smaller loads of washing are NOT being washed - they're just swishing around in an inch of water barely even getting w...
Read moreet !! The only way I was able to wash was by manually setting the water level at 4 or higher meaning my small loads of washing are being washed in a huge amount of unnecessary water. I lodged a request for a technician who came today and he replaced the water pressure sensor and it still didn't fix the problem - still only an inch of water for water levels 1 to 3. Now he needs to go back to LG and request a replacement control board to see if this will fix the issue. Not great for a brand new machine. After the technician left I tried to do a big load of washing (Level 10) and now the machine won't fill higher than than 1-inch of water on ALL water levels. Bit difficult to wash a full load of bedding in this amount of water !!!!! I am not happy that a brand new machine is having so many issues and I now can't use it at all. I should be getting a new replacement isn't of being mucked around with repeat technician visits.Hey Tricia,

Just a follow up to the terrible customer service provided by LG. After the run around for the last month they will not issue a refund / replacement for this faulty machine.

The repair agent sent to my home on behalf of LG recommended to LG that the machine needs to be replaced.
LG have declined to do this.

Absolutely love this machine. Easy to use. Excellent instructions. Self cleaning mechanisim. easy to use electronic panel at the front of the machine. large drum for a 14 kg load

Read morenot fill water on the lower levels 1 to 3. This meant I could never do a small wash with a low water level, the water always filled the machine to nearly half a drum or more. Given how large the machine is this meant a lot of water wasted. LG said that it was how it was meant to work. In the end The Good Guys helped me and sorted it out and arranged my refund. I ended up buying a Samsung 13kg, model number WA13M8700GW and I've been SO MUCH HAPPIER !! Hope this helps, cheers Tricia
