Do not buy
Have had for almost a year, at around the 6 month mark, I started noticing brown scum on the clothes after a completed wash cycle.
I clean lint filters regularly and run tub cleans, yet the brown stuff keeps appearing on our clothes.
The machine has 2 year warranty and LG are telling me it’s not a manufacturer’s fault. I know I am not a fault.
I am waiting for a service call, I will update after the technician looks at my machine.
Don't buy it unless you want to iron everything.
Machine wrinkles the hell out of everything. You have to then spend the whole times ironing everything. Lg has gone downhill both my dryer (which puts everything in the tightest ball and doesn't dry) and washing machine have been a total waste of money. Wouldn't recommend.
Purchased in January 2019.
Seems ok but issues with lint left on clothes
Most of the features of this machine are great, seems to wash well and runs quietly. We had a problem that we are unable to connect the hot water tap without it dripping on the floor. We have also discovered it leaves lint on the clothes nearly every cycle - even after washing clothes and towels separate and cleaning the filters after each wash. It’s quite frustrating.
Impressed for a few weeks but gremlins have taken over!
I was really happy with this machine for a month or so but now it is completely unreliable because it will all of a sudden decide mid wash to start again, or to rinse and spin over and over till I manually stop it. Like the size and the no agitator but it can be tricky to program and I'm taking it back this week for a replacement because I need a reliable machine, not to stand in front of it for an hour and make sure it does as it's told.

Have Not Had A Problem So Far
I wash mostly the basics - towels / sheets / everyday clothes etc so my experience is limited to those items, but that experience is a good one.
I never have to delve into the advanced settings to do delicates / cotton etc, I put the clothes in, then put the laundry liquid in, then press the power button and finally press the start button - that's it. The machine weight / measures / calculates everything that it needs to and does the rest on its own. I have never had a problem with these sort of loads - the clothes are clean, there is no lint ...on them, it never goes out of balance. I like that this machine has lint filters, it really helps to keep the washed clothes lint clean. I understand however why many manufacturers don't have this feature - you've got to clean them every now and again. I guess that is the price to pay for lint free clothes, even though the lint usually falls off while it's on the line. I gave this machine a 4 star rating. I can't think of a bad reason why I held back the 5th star, but at the same time, I can't think of a good reason why I would award it that extra star - maybe if it had auto cleaning lint filters?
Creases the living daylights out of clothes!
Unfortunately our 14 year old Fisher and Paykel stopped working and bought this LG on a recommendation from the Harvey Norman salesman. Should have known better!
You can't instantly change the cycle midway to add or change settings but have to go through a stop/pause/change setting/pause/start - and you have to go through it again if you forgot an additional setting. Soak and delay function is confusing. Water level on auto is always lower than what's required and the clothes come out super creased! I've tried slow/ fast spin, taking out the clothes as soon as cycle has completed and different detergents. It's super quiet but other than that will not be recommending this machine. Not happy Jan!
Don't buy this washing machine
I bought this washing machine or perhaps was sold this washing machine as a replacement for my Fisher & Paykel smart top loader. This LG machine at first glance appears to have various programmes but really it only has 4 that are useful. It is supposed to detect the amount of water required for the load but invariably we have to top it up, the spin speed is totally inadequate for a machine of this price and function. The instructions recommend washing bedclothes individually so a family of 4 with say 3 beds will need 6 washes to do everything p...lus duvet covers if required. Each bedclothes duvet wash takes 1h 45minutes ! I wish we had stuck to Fisher & Paykel. Our use of a tumble dryer has increased or wash day costs considerably, choose wisely.
Not as good as previous model!
I bought this new version of LG's affordable top loader after having given away my last one (model no. WFT8582 purchased in 2017). There was nothing wrong with the WFT8582 my only gripe was with its inadequate and useless lint filters.
I thought this machine will be an improvement over the last one, but oh how wrong I was. I honestly wanted to get a different brand, but the new top loaders of other brands are even worse for my needs, so I stuck with LG and bought this 'updated' model, only to find it's actually a downgrade from the previous on...e. 4 main issues: 1. When you open the lid at any time, even before and whilst its filling with water in the beginning (when you are most likely to add more clothes) it will immediately stop and give you an error message. You then have to put the lid down and press the pause/play button not once but TWICE in order to get it going again. The previous model only stopped and beeped when you opened it while it was fully filled and spinning and got going again automatically after you put the lid back down. 2. It does the 'auto sensor' spinning thing in the beginning if EVERY cycle, even when you set all the wash settings yourself and it's auto opinion is not needed, but it will still waste time and be ultra precious if you dare to open it to add additional clothes while it's 'thinking'. The previous model didn't have this auto load sensor thing so didn't have this problem.

Having used it over 3 months, compared to my last 12 yr old Electrolux front loader, its washing power is very questionable. I always get some (not all) laundry items to come out still smelling dirty even after a full cycle. I 've tested using different programs/modes/temperatures and the result is pretty consistent. Even having Napisan-soaked some items before starting the cycle. Its spinning ability is also a huge let-down. Only up to 740rpm so washing comes out still wet and they take ages to dry. I give it credit for be...
Perfect Value for Money! Outstanding Quality.
This is by far the best buy in any standard washing machine. I’ve had this for almost 2 years! Do not waste your time buying other junk out there. The space in this is huge! the noise? what noise! the selection is absolutely fantastic you can select different levels of water, wash time, amount of spins, soil level, and other programs without beeping or annoying you with constant error like other machines i’ve had in the past. I use it 3-4 times a week. If you’re going to purchase this and want it to last like mine have DO NOT overload it. Just ...because it’s big enough to wash one king quilt doesn’t mean you fill it with clothes all the way to the top. Not only it damages your clothes, it’s too heavy for the machine and might not even wash well. Do a regular tub clean and run hot water every now and then to stop dirt building up in your machine. (Which any machines requires anyway) I purchased this from Appliance Online as they do free removal of old unit and installation of the new product.
Purchased for A$540.00.
Great machine but maybe not for delicates!
Positives: This machine is so much better than my last. It fits a lot in. The cycles don't take as long. You can even see your load from the glass top. The machine is so so quiet.
Negatives: I haven't been able to find a cycle that doesn't destroy my underwire bras. I have tried so many options and even washing them in the delicates bags that you can get. I end up with the wire poking out and there goes another $60-$80 for that purchase.
