Too long to fix

It broke after a year, and going to take 1 and a half months for a technician to have a look at it to see if warranty will fix it.
Just not good enough, had to buy another washing machine.
The warranty service for LG just isn’t good enough. Show details

Watch out for the spin-dry cycle!

Solid, reliable machine with a large capacity. Purchased 3 years ago (April 2021) to replace a 10-year-old Fisher & Paykel front loader, which in hindsight was a lot gentler in its default mode. With the LG we've learned the hard way that we need to avoid the standard spin-dry setting when washing items containing elastic, for example. Show details

Bad after service

My machine has a soft close lid but the rubber dampers can't handle this lid and it now crashes down. I hurt my arm and fingers. Lg sent a mechanic who fitted rubber dampers of the same design and they soon failed. The machine is dangerous but LG have declined to fix again saying I must pay this time. I think it's best avoid this brand due to their attitude when things go wrong. Show details

Don’t waste your money

Waste of money- doesn’t function properly at all. Machine never fills with enough water to ever cover the load in the machine… cycle setting really aren’t relevant.. problems since day one.. Show details

Plastic ain't fantastic

First machine out of the box had cracked broken base/feet, was replaced by the store
The second machine last 18 months and again the base has cracked and broken
The plastic base is not up to the job, look for machines with a metal base and feet. Show details

Won’t repeat this mistake again

I’ve had this machine for 14 months and twice now it has stopped working. It may have a long warranty, but when waiting for it to be fixed, I’m without a washing machine for weeks. Show details

My advice. Buy something else

I thought this machine with heaps of water levels would be great ..wrong! ... it's a pain in the neck doing the little dance to decide for itself the settings. An absolute time waster, I have better things to do then wait to correct auto settings set by this machine! NO from me ! Show details

excellent machine

have washed quite a few loads with my new machine and I am perfectly happy; it is easy to install and use and is working quietly, the clothes come out clean and I am happy with the results; I also do not have any problems with the spin cycle, clothes come out as dry as they can possibly be after spin drying; excellent product Show details

ANNOYING TO USE

DEFINATELY NOT RECCOMENDED ! Techinalogical marvel. From user perspective JUST ANNOYING, SLOW, OVER-PRODUCED. TOO MANY BUTTONS. ETC, ETC
"check drain hole" AT THE BOTOM AT THE BACK... DUH !! To wash how I want it. Has to go through it's own timewasting regmarole BEFORE it will wash with MY settings. 1 month old. For sale 1/2 price. Show details

Great digital washing machine. Great capacity

Have had no issues with damaged clothing or linen. Love this washing machine. Can do hot, warm or cold plus has many other wash cycles, minutes for each wash and 3 levels of spin. Has 2 programs which gives 8 styles of washing. Best machine I have ever owned Show reply

We have had this washing machine for a few months and ran 'tub clean', but, although the process takes a long time, it does not seem to use hot water. How can it clean without hot water? Does any one else have the same problem, and, if so, how did you fix it?

janegirl

The machine is just crap, wish I had never bought mine. I have done the tub clean it's hopeless. Don't forget to clean the lint catcher on each side of the machine.
Never again will I buy LG washing machines. They lost me big time.

I haven't done the tub clean so no help there. Sorry.

My previous LG top loader had a ‘favourites’ setting.

Can I do the same with this model?

It’s most annoying having to reset every wash.

I don't think so ... I have had to reset every wash. The lint filters are the most frustrating part of the machine ... so hard to get out, I hate cleaning them and you have to clean them regularly.

That’s a bummer.
Had my previous LG for 20 years and loved it which is why I bought the same style again :(
