Sold non genuine Gucci product
I don't normally provide negative reviews, however feel that I need to share this with others. Be careful that you are getting what you paid for and the genuine product - not a copy. I ordered a pair of Gucci stud earrings from Linda and Co Broadway store. Upon collecting the earrings from the store (after waiting 7 months for them to arrive from overseas and numerous follow up calls), I immediately expressed concerns on their authenticity. The earrings were quite flimsy and there was no Gucci marking on them. I was assured by the owner Michael...that they were genuine Gucci earrings. Not totally convinced, I took the earrings to the Gucci store in Sydney and my worst fears were confirmed. The earrings that Linda and Co sold me were in fact fake. I called and spoke to Michael and followed up with an email. Three weeks later and still no response, I contacted Fair Trading. It was only after Fair Trading became involved that I received a call from Michael and subsequently received a full refund. I was also offered a $100 gift voucher to spend in their store (for my inconvenience), which I vehemently declined, as no amount of money would compensate for the dishonesty and deceit that I experienced with Linda and Co. Below is the image of what is meant to be the same product. The earrings on the left of picture is what Linda and Co sold me, the ones on the right are the genuine Gucci earrings - picture taken at Gucci store.
Revised: Dishonest service.
Revised review as I have recently re-weighed my ring and I believe their customer service was dishonest.
I went in to get my 18k ring resized (much smaller, from a 7US to a 4US. Weight 4.5g) and Navin specifically told me the jeweller [name removed] would reuse the excess gold to thicken the band. Then proceeded to show me what 'quality' bands were like. I didn't ask for the excess cut gold for this reason.
I came back a week later, picked up my ring and they asked me to write a positive review for them which I am now currently revising.
A ...few days later, I decided to look at older photos to visually compare the thickness of my band as I hadn't noticed a difference. I decided to weigh my ring on multiple times and it flicked between 2 - 3g. This leads me to believe they didnt reuse the 18k gold like [name removed] had told me they would. I believe they kept it. The cost for the service was also $175. This was my first time getting a ring resized (ever). I feel like they knew this because I believed them when they said could 'thicken' the band whilst keeping the diamond detailing intact and still have a turn around within a few days. I believe they took advantage of a customer who has very little knowledge about jewellery and who had trusted their 'expertise'. I will not be coming here again.
