This soap has a fragrance but it is still a pleasant one. All of them are quite nice, but I prefer the pink one the best. Fresh and awakening. They are very affordable and great for people with normal skin. However as I have sensitive excma skin I prefer the non soap bath and shower gels like Cetaphil and QV (out of the drugstore brands). For it's cost, this is a great soap, for people who use soaps.
Smells nice, slightly moisturising, very affordable. Great product for it's price.
However, not moisturising enough for very dry or sensitive skin.
my personal favourite i sthe pink one and i think it has the best fragrance. The ones which came with almond essence are not available here anymore. Also the Lux with rose petals stuck on it was the best, they looked really cute.Lux is certainly luxury and fits the budget.Another thing is like Palmolive Lux comes in value packs of 5 or 3 and they are easily available in any pharmacy or store.
Cheap-Nice fragrances-does not dissolve easily when left in water
Nothing striking-it does the job a soap must do but sometimes i think it loses its fragrance towards the end
This is a cheap, basic soap. We brought a bunch of the purple bars (lavender?) because they were cheap. This soap smells mildly of soap and flowers, and is not unpleasant. I found it lathered easily and well, and cleaned my skin well. However it does (like a lot of bar soaps) leave my skin feeling drier after. After a few weeks use my sister and I have both found that it has caused acne breakouts on our chest and back, so have stopped using it. Now we have many bars left we don't want to use.
It is inexpensive and available everywhere
Left skin feeling drier, caused acne breakouts
I used to think one soap would be as good as any other-till I tried some of the really cheap brands. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Horrid textures and scents. Some felt rough.
In comparison, Lux is luxury or deluxe. It has a lovely soft feel to it, very smooth. It has a nice scent and overall, it isn't too bad a price if you buy the bulk pack, and they are all individually wrapped. It is good quality for a reasonable price. Probably there are better soaps on the market-but you pay big bucks for them.
It has a nice, soft feel to it and comes in a variety of colours and scents. You can also buy quite a few for a reasonable price.
Nothing really to say against it.
My mom and my sister love Lux soap. If only it can maintain the moisture of my skin and make it hypo-allergenic so that even consumers with sensitive skin like me can use it regularly, I would have chosen this soap for my regular use and that of my entire family.
Lux Soap is one of the cheapest brand of bath soap in the market. This appeals most especially to old ones. This is because Lux has been in the market for decades! A reliable soap brand I should say in terms of cleansing properties, scent and being economical.
I cannot use Lux for a long period of time because I have a very sensitive skin and it makes my skin dry and irritated.
Lux soap has been around for ever and I always remember that it was a favourite in our household as a child. It is still the same and comes in a large enough bar to last some time. The soap comes in a variety of next luxury flavours these days and smell really nice to use. It is an inexpensive soap that is readily available and has retained its quality over the years.
Comes in a nice range of flavours and scents. Can buy in larger packet sizes. The soap is a large enough size to last a while.
There are none.
I love the Lux body wash so thought I would like the soap, but it is just a cheap nasty soap in my opinion. There were a few scents I liked, but most I didn't. It dried my skin out and is not good for anyone with sensitive skin. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you were desperate.
It is cheap and is easy to get. They were good for my husbands back acne.
I don't like most of the scents, they smell like cheap soap, which this is I guess. It is not good for sensitive skin and they dried my skin out.
Lux is amongst the cheapest of bath soaps on the market. For general purpose use, it is very good value. Its formula is a bit harsh though, so I wouldn't recommend that anyone with sensitive skin use Lux. It has a tendency to leave you skin feeling very dry and will cause significant irritation. Lux is cheap, but if you care about the condition of your skin, you would be better off spending a bit of extra money and getting a better quality product.
One of the cheapest soaps on the market.
Not a good soap to use if you have sensitive skin.
I guess you get what you pay for. It is a cheap product and it dries out my skin and won't even use this on my face. I will not be purchasing this product again. I would not recommend this product to any body.
It is cheap. It has a range of lovely fragrances and it lathers well.
I find that it dries out my skin. Also that it looses its fragrance after a few washes so you end up having to throw out the soap bar. As it dries out my body I wont try it on my face.
A cheap and nasty product, it dries out skin so much that it left mine peeling and red. Only pros is that it is easy to find at all supermarkets. If you can though avoid it and buy something thats worth your money.
Rough on skin, dries it out. Runs out really quickly
i was looking for a soap with a lather and remembered away back that lux was in that category, However I am really disappointed and won't even open the second packet.
has lost quality, drying, poor.disappointing
I like the soap and I love the way it lathers and of course the perfume is delightful bit I'm afraid I find it very drying on my skin. I particularly feel my skin very dry and itchy after using it in the shower and of course it is far too harsh to be used on my face.
This soap has a lovely perfume and lathers well
far too drying
A good soap for the family as it smells great and is cheap to buy. Good for normal skin types but I wouldn't recommend using as a face soap as it leaves my face feeling dry and tight.
Very cheap; comes in packs of 5; various scents that smell great; good on skin
if i used on my face it would leave my skin dry and tight
I like the lux soap range it has wonderful smells and it is gentle on the skin, it wont leave your skin feeling dry after use and the packaging is also a bonus. I find the lux soap is good for all of my childrens skins no matter what there age.
love the feel of my skin after using the lux soap range
I love this soap, especially the purple one, smells fantastic and leaves my skin looking and feeling healthy and clean, I have some issues with dry skin but it doesn't affect that at all, it's one of the best soaps that i've used and it's very affordable, at larger retail stores it is very common to find larger packs of it at cheaper prices.
Great fragrances, much more moisturising that other regular soaps.
The purple one leaves purple dye all over the place which stains some surfaces, other than that, i've never had a problem with this soap.
This is the soap that my family except from my mother are regulated to use whilst she uses a dove beauty bar. Lux does not even compare to the dove bar, but for the price this soap is excellent. It is priced really well, and I can noramlly find it on sale a lot too. I have had no problems with my skin and I love the smell.
I like that it is affordable, is of a good standard of quality and smells nice. Has a large variety of different scents and added elments for you to choose from.
I have no negative experiences with this product.
Fantastic price, fantastic product, and I will definitely buy again. I highly recommend this especially if you ever have an empty pocket but can't live without soap.
I've got the Supreme Cream one, and I love it. Definitely very creamy, and doesn't strip my skin of all my natural oils which lots of bar soaps tend to do. This leaves my skin feeling soft and silky, and it's such a great price too.
I live for shower gels since they smell so nice, I just wish that these soaps had more scent too.
My overall opinion on this product is positive indeed. I have been buying and using this product for years, something like 30 years. Over the years the quality has not diminished and the value for money has remained. I will continue to buy this good product.
I like the quality.
not much to dislike
I've been using these soaps for ages, and I love everything about them. They smell really nice, the classic soap smell, and they don't dry out my skin or anything. It cleans my skin really well. I especially like the Petal Touch soap because it has jojoba oils. It doesn't really foam up heaps, but I think I prefer soaps that don't foam up heaps.
I always buy these sops in bulk packs, they're REALLY cheap. Easy to find. They smell really nice and soap-ish.
Nothing much, I'm a big fan of these soaps.
Overall is good but just becasuse of the smell. The smell after shower combined with the steam in the bathroom is very refreshing. To save up some money but need extra scrubbing, you can alternate the use of these soap bar and liquid soap.
The soap is cheap when you buy in bulk, I think it's only cost 30-40 cent each.I like the different scents they have, especially the rose petal (pink colour).
The soap bar is easy to dry out, crack after using it for a while. Not producing alot of bubbles when it is wetted with water.
This soap has been around for years and is so cheap and available absolutly everywhere. I love using all the different scents available and that they are enriched with different essential oils to stimulate all of your different senses. It is nice and creamy and lathers up really well. Does a good job of making you feel totally clean and refreshed. The only downfall is it drys out my skin a bit therefore leaving me a bit itchy. Its a great overall soap but not so good for sensitive skins.
Comes in a great range of different scents and comes in handy bulk packs. One of the cheapest going.
Not so good for sensitive skin as it can be a bit drying.
A standard family use soap - it's quite good value as it's sold in multi-packs, it smells nice and doesn't do anything bad to your skin, generally, though as said it might be a bit drying if you have very sensitive skin. It smells nice and cleans well. Overall, good.
Good value, smells nice, works
Can't really think of any noticeable cons...
It's a good run of the mill family soap, if it's a typical family looking for it. It should suit most skin types, though it may be a bit drying for the senstive skinned people. It lasts quite a long time though, so it would be economical to have as a normal bar soap alternative to body wash types.
It smells quite nice, feels like a typical old-fashioned type of bar soap. It's also quite cheap, especially since they're nearly always sold in value packs.
It fully 'melts' when left wet, breaks and chips quite easily, and cracks when it starts to try.
excellent value for cost. Very nice fragrance without over powering. Does not leave my skin dry, froths up enough to use for shaving legs if no shaving cream at hand. The soap can come in large packs for more value (big W has a good price) Also enjoy the look of the different colours n my soap dish.
value for money
I prefer bars to gels as I believe they not only last longer but there is little to no wastage. It is one brand I look for when buying soap. I like that you can buy a few and save rather than one at a time.
Good price. Smells nice. I feel clean and fresh. It actually leaves my skin feeling quite alright compared to other soaps which can have a drying effect.
That it cracks up if unused for a while, or if left in a pool of water it goes soggy and is virtually useless (like in the kids bath).
