Very comfy and pressure relieving but hot
I really found the macoda comfortable and quite often I find that i have overdone it for my back as i dont have a good back and normally i will go to bed and still be a bit sore when i wake but i actually found some relief with the macoda. It was quite good on giving pressure relief. However, i found the mattress hot to sleep on even though i am not overweight and i never find mattresses hot- though i have only bought retail previously - innerspring or pocket spring with a pillow top. So, i am not sure what made me hot in this mattress but i l...ive in canberra and the nights were still quite cool when i was trialling the mattress. So, i didnt want to risk hot nights in summer. I could also clearly tell it was the mattress as my back was hot when i woke but my front was cool - i am a back sleeper. Seems like others don't really have this problem- so it could just be me. In saying that, a all season polyester quilt will make me feel hot compared to a winter wool quilt. Soo i could just be sensitive. Unfortunately, i am still on the hunt for the right mattress. I wish it had worked out for me but definitely recommend. Returns process was easy but yes, the delivery company was a bit lacking- would say they were on way but then didnt turn up.

Give it time to soften. It's amazing
We had a med firmness pillow top mattress that we absolutely loved and were only looking for a king size as we were having another baby and all our children end up in our bed.
After going to about 5 bed shops and finding the prices were too out of our range for something I felt would match up to the one we already had, my husband suggested a bed in a box. I instantly thought that's insanity. If we can't find one in 5 shops, what's the chances of even one of these companies having a mattress comfy enough.. Considering all the reviews, the price...

The mattress is fantastic
Our mattress was old and we were both having lower back and hip pain. After spending days comparing mattresses we chose Macoda. We have not looked back and could not be happier in our choice. Over a two week period our pains slowly disappeared. Have recommended to family and friends. Thanks Chris
Questions & Answers
Hi, this is my 3rd night sleeping on my new Machida mattress. Mostly it feels like a cloud but my hips and ribs feel like they're hitting the springs. It really hurts, I've woken both mornings feeling bruised. Could this just be me getting used to a different mattress? I'm not a tiny girl at around 90kg, but I didn't expect this. I want to love it so much. Has anyone else felt this? Oh I have flipped it to firm, to see if that helped but it's the same issue. Thanks.
Hey Stacey! Thanks for the question :)
Part of your experience could well just be an adjustment period (some people adjust quicker than others) however, you shouldn't be able to feel the springs. Shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll work through it with you to see what's going on exactly and work out how best to help you!
On delivery what firmness is the mattress?
I know you can flip the inner foam, just want to know what its on when delivered
Hey Mandy! The mattress arrives in the medium configuration :)
I bought a macoda mattress in September I love it. I am moving interstate and want to know f it can be compressed and boxed up again?
Great to hear you're loving the mattress! Unfortunately once they've been taken out of the box we can't re-compress them. An alternative option in your case might be to unzip the top layer and move the components separately. You should be able to roll up the foam inserts and the bamboo cover to make things easier :)
