Madimack Pool Heat Pumps

Only worth it if you've got a pool cover
I would really only recommend that you get this if you have a pool cover, or you live in an area with a relatively constant air temperature. I've installed an Elite V3 22kw system to replace an existing solar pool heating system and it's been a huge regret.
Updated the review to include electricity usage information and images:
- installed Dec 2020
- under Madimack instruction, ran it for continuous 72 hours on first use
- runs ~12 hours a day to recover and maintain lost heat
As you can see from the shared pictures, my year on year, like f...
Read moreor like (except the Madimack) has more than doubled with the Madimack for the month of December. And that's even with my 18kwh solar battery - the Madimack draws from that until it's done, before drawing from the mains power. The Madimacks are not efficient or effective HEATERS so much as MAINTAINERS or pool temperature, which isn't clear from the marketing material. They will take forever - i.e. days - to get your pool heated to a desired temperature, then you have to keep it at work to fire up when required to maintain that temperature. If you experience fluctuations in air temperature and weather (e.g. Melbourne), or go away for a few days and switch it off, then the whole process starts again. While the marketing information will provide very optimistic times for heating without a cover, these are certainly not my experience.Questions & Answers
My previous question regarding how to unlock my screen for my Madimack elite v3 seems to be straight forward. However the lock/unlock is highlighted and when pushed for 3 seconds does not respond. So I am unable to turn on my heat pump. Can you set up wifi when the pump is controls are not working?
Sorry to hear that. I have just tried it with mine and if I hold my finger there for at least 3 seconds it comes on while I am still holding my finger in place. I don't think you can set up wi fi unle...
Read moress you can use the panel controls as you need to be able to get the wi fi icon to flash to connect the heat pump to your phone and the app. You could try turning off the isolator to the heat pump, waiting for 30 seconds and then turning the isolator back on. That might re-boot it and reinitialise the panel (however there are timers on the unit and it may take a little while to be ready for use). If you still cannot unlock the panel you should contact your supplier/installer as there may be a fault. In any case, they really should have set you up with wi fi and the app as that is the best way to control the Madimack. Sounds like you may need a service visit!Hi Terry,

I have a Madimack elite v3 17kw. Only been installed for 4 mths. Has been running well . Now find I cannot unlock the sensory control panel.
How can we engage the sensory panel?
The display is quite dim until unlocked. To unlock the display press the Lock/unlock “button” at the lower part of the display for 3 seconds. When display is unlocked it will be much brighter. You can...
Read more then change the settings. Take a look at the manual to see what you can change. However, I have found the best way to control the Madimack V3 is to connect via Wi Fi and use the InverGo app. This app is very flexible and you can control your Madimack V3 from anywhere (in the world) once it is set up. Much easier to set timers, temperature, power settings etc. from the app. Good luck!Buyers beware. I have an elite v3 22kw Madimack. The difference between the input water temperature and the output water temperature is one degree and cannot be adjusted up. This means it takes 4 hours of continuous running to lift the pool temperature by one degree. Check before you buy.
Thanks for your feed back Theo, I would recommend contacting our support line as all Madimack units including yours can achieve a 2-3 deg difference. This is relevant to your circulation pump & how t...
Read moreo limit the flow to achieve the optimal flow required for your 22KW Elite V3 Madimack heater. - 1300 899 737The problem is that you have to restrict the flow a lot to get the 2 to 3 degrees uplift. This means it takes just as long to heat the pool. About 4 hours for 1 degree uplift. Are you sure there is no...
Read more way of increasing the temperature output without restricting the flow? Thanks Theo, your methodology is incorrect, achieving 2-3 degrees via flow rate will give you the maximum output of the Madimack heater, we can refer you to a mechanical engineer for verification if t...
