Was good until...
had no problems with it and cherished the fact that the stick was detachable - until.... I read someone's review who mentioned the food gets trapped inside the stick. I checked, gave it a shake and sure enough - it had something sloshing around inside...eeew.
That one is for the bin now.
Good for the price!
This was a good buy for me. Use it for making hamburger mix and recipes when I'm just cooking for myself.
Have had for about 3 years. Still working, no smoke issues. Only thing is the whisker attachment broke after about a year and a half. Not brilliant but does the job if it's just a small job.
Stick blender went up in smoke!
I bought Mum one of these to blend soups occasionally. She hadn't used it many times but when it was just out of warranty she used it to blend pumpkin soup and stinky smoke started pouring out of the unit which was obviously unsafe to use. She threw it away (cannot claim under warranty as it is more than 12 months old) but she was disappointed. We already know Aldi is difficult to deal with over electrical appliances - bought one of their snackmakers to put in the kitchen at work and it failed to brown the bread AT ALL. Aldi put me through hoop...s saying I had to pay to ship it to them (which I stupidly did) and they returned it saying NO FAULT FOUND. It warmed the filling but didn't toast the outside so I failed to see why no fault found. But I digress. Based on that earlier experience I didn't push Mum to return this to Aldi - figured with the item being out of warranty they wouldn't do any more than they'd done over my IN warranty item. So moral of the story is think very carfeully before buying anything electrical from Aldi. Their items are cheap but personally I'd rather pay a bit more and buy from a store that will take back a faulty item without quibbling. Also would rather that electrical items could be trusted to still be operating many years down the track, but that can be difficult these days, even when you buy a good brand. Rant over ... :o) It was cheap to buy It wasn't used many times and it failed dismally when just out of warranty

Know better, choose better.
Oh gosh, this was such a waste of money. It has a 1 year warranty, what a shame I misplaced the receipt as it has been pathetic from the start. Most of the food is not blended properly as the blades are set too high in the shaft. Dont buy it.
It looks nice.
Steel shaft continually falls off when using. Blades set too high in shaft so food does not blend properly. Smells of smoke when on high setting. Short cord.
I was really expecting a lot from this blender as i have found that most things ive bought from Aldi are pretty good. I had it sitting in the cupboard for ages until I finally took it out to use. At first i was a bit worried about the rough finish on the edge of the attachment and then i forgot about it because it was great at pureeing my foods. Then I started noticing that the bottom of my pots where getting scatched from metal to metal contact with blender. After a couple of days i took it out to use and noticed that there was food still stuc...k behind the blade. I normally clean these out well. I shook the attachment and it made a sloshing noise. I finally realised that every time i use it, food was being accumulated up into the inside part of the attachment (an area you can't get to, to clean out). I even had black stuff coming out which must have been old food trapped there from before. It was really disgusting. I was reading some of the other reviews about it, and the amount of trouble they have been through just to get a refund, I don't think i'll bother. Another one for the bin. It blends really well until....
Oh gosh, this was such a waste of money. It has a 1 year warranty, what a shame When I went to aldi to return it as I got the receipt, they told me to call 1300 number..And those 1300 people told me to cut the cord and take a pic and take a copy of receipt and then either mail them or post them...WHAT A BIZZAREE...better to buy from Coles as they return back the money without asking any question or without receipt........"Never buy any electrical from aldi"...I hope that helps...I would have given "No star but cant submit without that"
Steel shaft continually falls off when using. Lock doesnt works properly. Smells of smoke when on high setting. Short cord.
Please don;t buy - as I did wasted the money spent on this - and overall would not suggest anyone to waste more..
No PROS at all...................used twice and second time it stopped working. Thankfully had the receipt but it's a long process to even GET the refund from the manufacture....The refund is easy via ALDI if returned within 60 days though.
I was told via ALDI to contact the manufacturer via the number provided on the box....When called - I was told to send a scanned photo of the blender, with a scanned copy of receipt and a scanned...
