Malaysian airlines - horrible customer service for the elderly
My mother was unable to walk hence booked a wheel chair. But apparently staff told her in kulalumpur that there are only 2 wheel chairs for old ppl and she has to walk on her own...pathetic how and why should we pay for such bad customer service to our parents. Flight MH140...you are a bad airlines and if this is how you treat your passengers..goodbye forever
ticket canceled without any notification
I took a round trip ticket on 09/11/19 from Australia to India for attending my uncle's funeral
As it was a family emergency - agent was compelling us to take ticket immediately
We notified him that I am traveling with my mother and 5-month-old daughter - My daughter didn't have an OCI card and we lodged e-visa to India. It usually takes 24- 48 hrs for granting an electronic visa
But the agent was adamant that we will get my daughter's visa overnight
So we booked a ticket
Travel date was 10/11/19 and return was 17/11/19
But my daughter's visa ...
Rude and arrogant staff member in Sydney airport
One of the staff member was very rude and arrogant while check in process in Sydney airport. She had knowingly flipped her name tag so that no one can see her name. Not willing to help and very rude to us. My parents were boarding flight MH 140 (22:15) from Sydney to Kualampur on 8th of November. She was in counter number 9 . Very disappointing service from Malaysia airlines. Never flying again with this airlines.
MH128 flight on Nov 6 cancelled
On Nov 7 MH128 flight having the machinical issue, which is understand able some time it happens. Flight information to 180 passengers was not accurate. I was having lounge access but lounge got closed and we were at the gate waited for until the morning for 5 hours, passengers at 4pm were offered Water bottle. Passanger were asked for the arrangement in other airline and Flights. Customer service was not good, customer yet to see any compensation.
November 16th 2019 Update: Malaysian airline code share flight grabing extra $$$ without any sup...port. Mgt don't want to answer any questions. I booked a return flight on Nov 13, KUL-BWN-KUL. I am a Gold card member on world which allows to have lounge access. In 2019 alone I have taken atleast 30 Flights. On Nov13 Flight and Ticket was issued as MH5222 which is operated by BI874, on boarding card issued with BI 874 only, when I asked for from Royal Brunei, they told you need to talk to Malaysian airline, Malaysian airline staff have no Idea what I am talking about, explaining and they are only referencing talk to Royal Brunei, I requested Manger to talk, He was another unknowledge person, Have recorded what we discussed, attaching for reference his behavior after became unpatience like ping ping for an hour between different desks and people. It was nightmare to let them understand that I have purchased Malaysian airline ticket and when on all the Airport display you are showing MH5222 code share flight and not printing on Boarding pass, not allowing lounge and milage access, than what is the point I am paying extra price of ticket. Ticket is issued with MH5222 but in the Terms and Condition no where it is mentioned about No milage claim and No lounge access. Just grabing extra $$$, staff is unknowledgeable. Customer service is poor, malaysian airline still have a long way to go.
Avoid. Still stuck at Melbourne airport, abandoned by airline. Disgrace.
Hours upon hours of delays. Connections abandoned and zero help from the airline. Don't know what I'll do now. Have asked for help and told to go away. This is third world attitude and I'm in Melbourne Australia. Disgusting.
Were charged for seats we didnt need to book and are now being charged for seats we were told we wouldnt need to book. Just useless. Id rather swim than travel with these guys again.
Worst airlines with the worst cabin crew and customer service staff
Malayia airlines is the worst airlines in the business and they provide the worst customer service. My parents and my in-laws recently travelled from Bangalore to Melbourne and both had the worst flight.
My in-laws travelled in July and we had booked wheel chair assistance. My father in law is a diabetic patient and has to use the restroom quite often. He requested the wheel chair assistance person if he can use the restroom, he was declined and was advised to wait until he boards the flight which was 30 minutes later.
My parents travelled...from Bangalore to Melbourne again yesterday(23 Oct 2019). On the flight from KL to Melbourne they were seated at seat 22A and 22C and they were given 1meal, when I had specifically contacted the call centre on 22 Oct and confirmed that they will be given 2 hindu veg meal. When my father questioned the cabin crew they had the audacity to say that we have only booked for 1 meal. How is the even possible only a dumb person would book 1 meal for 2 people when they pay more than $2000 AUD for the tickets. They do not have to book for meal it is by default they should be getting. Also when I was trying to do the online check in for my parents, on the flight from KL to Melbourne they were given seats one beside the other, my mother was given 22c and my father 23C when I try to change the seat it said 22A is a seat which will incur extra cost. I wanted to check the price and changed it, however I did not confirm the seat. As soon as I changed my father's seat from 23C to 22A, 23C became a cost incurring seat. This is nothing but a dodgy way of making extra money. My mother travelled from Mebourne to Bangalore in Sep 2016 and on the flight from Melbourne to KL, she was not given a meal and the reason they did not have any vegeterian meal. I did send an email to the complaints department and it took them more than 1 year to reply back with an apology.
Business Class Review
Flight MH125 from KL to Perth on 3 October in business class. Very old plane, seats were like those typically found in the economy cabin, food was sub standard (the hot dish was served cold) as was the entertainment. Incredibly disappointing given the cost of a business class ticket. This service is not in the same league as Singapore Airlines or even Thai for that matter. I tried the service given I am a regular traveller to London but will not do so again.
A scam take booking then change fare rules
Business class booked for 2 people
Kuala Lumpur to brisbane
A very competitive rate to say the least.
Flight ,food ,service was not business class comparing to all one world partners actual was more like a budget airline would offer.
The to cap it off status points given what a joke
Called my service centre qantas and asked why so little points and i got an answer that it was an business flight booked at economy grade
What a crock of the proverbial called malaysia and was told they would get back too me
Never again will i travel with this airline
Food is not so great. Ok overall
My only dissatisfaction was the food. On a long haul flight, the food on 4 separate flights was awful!
The flight attendants are friendly enough, seats comfy enough. But I won’t fly this airline again purely for the food
Very Impressive, Have Already Booked Again
We traveled Melbourne / KL return (onward to Koh Samui, but with Bangkok Air from KL) in May 2019 and were very impressed with the overall experience. Check in was a little slow, but with other airlines cancelling flights to KL that day the flight was unusually busy (so I was told). We were fortunate enough to check in on-line before arriving at Tullamarine, so the queue we faced was much shorter than those who faced a full check in. Once onboard the aircraft was relatively new, fresh and clean, the cabin crew were attentive and professional - ...basically all you could ask for !!. The meals were somewhat bland, but after all it is airline food. The facilities at KLIA Terminal were wonderful and the 3 hour stop over was in the end pleasant. All in all we were very impressed with Malaysia Airlines and have already booked another trip for next year.
Flew from Australia to Vietnam with Malaysia with no issue. Great to see cabin crew helping those with small children. Food was not to my taste but good flight overall.
My elderly parents traveled from DEL to KUL to ADL. I mentioned wheelchairs while booking tickets and it was printed on the ticket too.
At Delhi Airport, only my mother-in-law was given the wheelchair initially. The staff kept on insisting that my father-in-law doesn't need a wheelchair. My FIL looks fit but he has diabetes and he cant walk for long. My FIL had to give the staff 200 rs to the staff to get wheelchair service. Their ordeal didn't end here. After reaching Kulla Lumpur, no one came to escort my parents in wheelchair. They asked the...
I would like to send this complaint to the customer service department regards to my recent experience with your airline. I tried to send an email to the one it is available online but all of was rejected( wrong email addresses for customer service and your managers!!!)
My Husband and I were returning from Iran via Oman air and Malaysian airline on Sunday 28th of July on flight number : 141 and confirmation number: RATD6U for flight 9.10 am to Sydney.
When we arrived from Oman to Malaysia we visited the transfer desk for our checking...
I booked a flight two months ago from Brisbane to London. After paying for the flight, we got a schedule change! Different days, long stop overs each way in KL airport. I managed to get a few more days from work and managed to accommodate these changes. As we had not booked connecting flights to Brisbane yet, it did not cause too many problems. We have got to fly to London again in 2 months and again we booked Malaysia Air and we booked connecting flights to Brisbane. Two days ago I received notification that our MA flights have been cancelled ...and again we have been given different dates and long (17 hour) stop overs. MA are refusing to give us our money back or offer us any compensation for us to purchase new connecting flights or hotels. All I keep getting told is that our tickets are non refundable and our flights have been changed.oh and they keep telling me how sorry they are for this. Please do not fool for their cheap flight prices as we did. It's a ploy to take your money and then pool all the passengers on to one plane by rescheduling flights.
Deterioration of a Great Airline
Perth - Kuala Lumpur return
Kuala Lumpur airport - Excellent
Kuala Lumpur airport customer service - Excellent
Kuala Lumpur airport business class lounge food and facilities - Excellent
Qantas Business Class Lounge in Perth provides unlimited and wide range of alcoholic beverages
Booking Fee and Payment
Book now, Pay later is absolutely not beneficial, for a $20 fee you have only 2 days to make full payment.
Other than paying by credit card, the other payment options such as PayPal or Poli does not work.
Great Airline for price
On a recent trip, we flew from London to Sydney with Malaysia Airlines with a 5hr layover in Kuala Lumpur. We found the service, food, hosts & value for money were great. Would definitely use them again.
Break my suitcase but it's not their responsibility!
Air Malaysia really has deteriorated over the years - I've been flying with them for over 20 years and they used to be luxury service provider. This time I was flying solo with my infant daughter from Sydney to London and return. I wanted to purchase extra leg room. Three separate phone calls and over 90 minutes of my time, before staff at the call centre were able to tell me I couldn't buy extra leg room because of my child but they could give me a bassinette seat, despite her being too big for the bassinette. This could have taken 5 minutes t...o resolve. Secondly, they advertise their lounge in Kuala Lumpur to be child friendly - having a separate room with no door, toys or activities for children is not considered to be child friendly. More a space to try keep children out of the other customers way - which is fine, but how you keep a child of other's space is by providing activities for them! The last straw for me was my brand new Samsonite - so an incredibly strong piece of luggage, was broken by the airlines. Upon their internal investigation, I was informed they are not responsible for damage that happens to the external of the suitcase, including the bracket that was snapped off (screw was clean snapped in half). So who's responsibility is that my $450 suitcase is now rendered unusable? I've had suitcases have minor damage on other airlines and with no push back, the suitcase has been replaced. Its what their insurance is for!! Absolutely the worst experience with Malaysia Air and this is not even mentioning the rude staff on almost all of my lights.
Poor booking system and global customer contact centre “gccc”
The booking system stalls and have glitches at times. My ticket had the wrong times, date and fare type after confirmation of payment and issuance of ticket. Contacted the reservation centre immediately to resolve the problem. They wouldn’t change my ticket time without charging me the change fee. After countless emails and phone calls to clarify, they responded with ‘stock-standard’ responses that are arrogant, non-chalant, not putting their customer first. Crap service to be honest. People over the phone are generally polite and willing to help, but the ones over at Global Customer Contact Centre are crap. See below excerpt of email.
