Forget joining MAS Enrich Membership
Received email from them on 16 May promoting discount for business class. Contacted them on 17 May and was told to contact reservation. On booking on 23 May, I was told all seats sold despite it is supposed on end on 27 May. Today 25 May, I received another email saying final call and ending on 27 May. Enrich attitude is could not care less whether you want to fly MAS or not
Do not fly with Malaysia airlines as you get bumped off when seats are over-booked
Worst airline ever and first time being bumped off a flight in my whole lifetime because it was over-booked. I wish that I don't need to give a star and doesn't even deserve a one. Obviously, the company are full of cheaters to pocket extra money. How can they sell seats when it's all fully booked? Consumer Tribunal should investigate further and take action on Malaysia Airlines for breaching the consumer law. It's not fair to leave paying customers stranded with their miserable pittance compensation. The airport is located in the middle of now...here and far away from KL CBD. How do you justify in compensating stress and inconvenience? They have lost me as a customer and prefer to fly via Singapore Airlines and Qantas from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur. I'm sure a lot of people will boycott and they will surely loose more money. Really dumb approach to make money and company will collapse real soon!!
Fantastic customer service.
My elderly parents had travelled to Japan on Malaysian Arilines for a holiday on Bussiness class. Whilst in Japan my Father fell extremely I'll and was hospitalized for 19 days . So their return flight had been cancelled. It came to the time they were cleared to come home , so I booked a new flight Bussiness class back to perth . The flight home would stop in KUL as normal this was the part that worried me as he was still very frail and having to change aircraft. I rang and spoke with a very polite and helpful lady from the airline and...she arranged everything for my parents from start to finish. She had people check them in help with their baggage change aircraft and get him to my car at the airport. I am so very impressed with the level of care and customer support that we received. I personally would have no problem recommending this airline. If anyone from the airline is reading this thank you so much.
Action taken for the cancellation of flight
we booked Malaysian Airlines for our aged parents from Sydney to Bangalore for march 31st. we got a mail from them that Kualalumpur connection flight got cancelled and they need to wait there for 18 hours for the next flight. It will be a problem for them to wait for a long time unless airlines do some alternative options or hotel arrangements.i will surely come up with a review based on what airlines is going to do in this matter.
Felt like Oliver Twist
Recently I flew to Malaysia, all excited, never had any issues with the Airlines. Alas, sadly things have changed for the worse. I was feeling a little sick in the stomach and asked one of the cabin crew member for a bottle of water, I was promptly refused. Her reply was, "no I can't give you one, it is only for business class passengers" and walked away. I felt so hurt. I have worked in customer service and I would have certainly handle the situation a lot better. Sad, I have had some wonderful memories flying MAS.
Didn't get any service
I booked the ticket for me and my wife from Sydney to Bangladesh. Today I was coming from Bangladesh. we change our flight from Malaysia. Flight number was MH 141 . When our journey starts suddenly my wife start feeling sick that's why she call sleep. I was tired as well I fall sleep as well. When I woke up I saw my wife try to call flight attendant for our meal. Other passengers already get their meal we didn't get. After 20 mins waiting the guy name seylon give us food. After that meal my wife start feeling bad she start vomiting. She holds ...the vomiting bag nearly 20 mins. She pressed the button twice they didn't come after that other passengers call them like their is emergency still they didn't come. After that my wife went to the toilet to clean herself. Still that guys didn't come. After some time the flight attendant bring some snacks than I asked him what is your responsibility for someone needs your help. He told me he was busy with other things. He was very rude and arrogant.I was in zone c there were 2 flight attendants both of them are very rude and arrogant. One guys name was seylon he doesn't ware any name batch another guys name is Azim. From today's experience I feel this is very bad service. I will never travel anymore with Malaysian Airlines. I feel they are one of the rubbish Airlines and customer service. I think no body should travel with them anymore. My wife was very upset and stressed after this incident.
Better crew attitude but still very poor cabin product.
Recently we flew MH128 & MH149.
First, their online Booking system still doesn't work properly. It's not user friendly, and the app vs online systems are quite different, so which one do I trust?
Secondly, I'm glad to report that on both flights, the flight crew were, for once courteous, respectful AND even efficient. BRAVO! It's a long time coming, but what we experienced was so different to what we typically experienced with MH flight crews - indifferent, unresponsive & completely unhelpful. What happened to your crew culture??? But pleas...
Bad customer service
Spent an hour on check in queue and refused check in as told in wrong line at Melbourne airport.
Since no clear signage were displayed, lady on counter 47 was so rude does not deserve this job.
Never again with Malaysia airlines.
Rubbish online booking system
I have carefully entered my middle names on the website, and when it finalized the booking, they disappeared. When i called to change it they said i need to submit an email for them to review..otherwise I'll be charged RM150! I have to fly the next morning as my dad was sick, they didn't care and said I still have to pay the fee. I did it anyway as what's important is not the money but for me to get back home to see my sick father. So can Malaysia Airlines please please please get your act together?..this is 2019..and your system is still not reliable? also, no human factor considered and I have to pay the price for your unreliable system which causes the issue in the first place? I'm surprised you still survive after all this while.
Mishandling of luggage
Baggage drop took an hour coz only 2 counters . Baggage delayed for 7 hours and scratches everywhere. Bad experience with this airline of how they handle baggage.
Unfriendly and authoritarian stewardess
I am a frequent flyer and booked return flight Perth to Manila thru Flight Centre. Worst airline Stewardess. They will turn their back even a passenger is not yet finished speaking, so the announced "ask a friendly staff if you need assistance" is just a propaganda. They were even scolding passengers if a passengers are not aware or forgot to do the sops during take off and landing acting like they are authorities or mothers who feed you that's why you should follow- instead of saying it in a nice way.
Lost the plot
We were on KL to Perth flights with MAS as KLM's partner for our Amsterdam round trip. Having flown Emirates to Europe last year and KLM on the KL-Amsterdam leg, the glaring inferiority of MA's service is clear. The staff try hard enough to please but MAS is now light years behind their competition - seats are cramped, transfer check in at KL is painfully slow and stressful as the staff say nothing and keep you wondering if something's wrong. The seat allocations they imposed on us were woeful, splitting our 4th family passenger several seats...apart from the other 3 ( not defensible since we booked months in advance). The entertainment system is comparatively poor in choice, and the cabin is cooled to the point of being uncomfortably cold. At KL the security checking is worryingly relaxed and confusing. The food was good. A once attractive airline is now a last resort. Never again.

Flight MH123 ; KL to Sydney.
The customer service from inflight crew was NON EXISTENT, apart from ONE hostess.It was as bad as a very SPITEFUL police force.The air con was much too cold to......At KLIA too, it is very OPPRESSIVE going through Immigration.We are NOT all members of the terrorists called MOSSAD !
Realistically, one thinks these issues would happen a LOT LESS, if the Australian Government was better to neighbours in the region.Surely just COMMON SENSE...
Extremely poor personnel at Melbourne Airport. In general, poor airline.
Counter staffs are not well trained, rude and impolite. Poor mannerism resulted with no loyalty from us. Invest in training your ground staffs, perhaps that will save you the hassle of being penalised all the time for horrendous customer service.
After being a loyal customer for over 40years I am saying goodbye to this airline
I have been a loyal customer of this airline since the 1980s. Since their recent disasters I tried to even support the airline more. But, this airline seemed to self destruct instead of trying harder to improve, it is going backwards. My recent trip has made me decide enough is enough. I flew business class; Melbourne-Kuala Lumper-Kuching. Flight out of Melbourne; delayed (or as they called it re-timed), flight into Kuching, re-timed, so instead of arriving mid-morning so we could have some decent time in Kuching, we spent the day in airport lo...unges. The return trip; our bags did not arrive with us, now have to wait another 24hours before we could access our bags. Worst experience was the inflight service. I have experienced better food and service on budget airlines. And might I say, the ticket prices for their business class is not cheap. Good bye Malaysia Airline, I am leaving you.

Discriminatory policy towards disabled passengers
I am an Enrich member flying on Malaysia Airlines for over 30 odd years. I have a physical disablity and their recent changes in seating makes it very discriminatory for disabled passengers. According to their new policy, people using wheelchairs cannot pay and upgrade to premium economy class. And in the economy section, we cannot choose a seat but can only accept what is alloted by the airline. In this case, the allocted seat was almost at the back of the plane. A very long walk for those with physical disabilities.
Very disappointing and discriminatory. You are going to lose me as your customer.
Do not fly with them!
I paid for business class with this airline and to my horror, my seat had a faulty screen and I couldnt even listen to music. the whole 8 hr flight from singapore to Australia was me starring at the seat in front of me! I would have been better off in economy. I contacted them to refund me the difference of a business class ticket and an economy ticket and they wouldnt refund me!
When anyone pay for business class, you expect comfort!
Worst experience of my Life
worst experience of my life booked a flight on sky scanner unfortunately my wife missed her flight to Malaysia due to a storm in Adelaide so we called BYO jet to re book flights was quoted $1157 in charges tried to negotiate with a Team leader who said that she couldn't help us then was told by BYOJet that these charges were from the Airline Malaysia airlines. Called Malaysia Airlines to be told that they could not help and had to contact BYO Jet called back BYO Jet to be then quoted a different price of $1639 because the return flight from Man...ila to Kuala Lumpur then To Adelaide has been cancelled. My wife was so upset Crying because the rebooking fees was more than the original flight of $1400. Absolutely ripped off by BYO Jet you guys should be shammed of yourself. Will be putting a complaint to Ombudsmen.

Do you only have to pay for your seats if you select in advance or is it free if you select at online check in, 48 hour before your flights?
I selected them for free online at purchase I'm sure you should be able to select be for flying if not give the a call they will do it over the phone. I rang perth airport services and got a contact number off them they answer straight away. Hope that helps
If I’m flying from Hanoi to Auckland with Malaysia airlines how much spirits am I allowed to take in my checked on luggage before I have to pay duty? Some places say 5 L some places say 1L , Thankyou
