Was it a deliberate scam

I got an email quote to replace my battery. My car has a stop start engine. I researched the battery they recommended and it said suitable for my car. When the guy arrived to do the job, he was removing my battery and said the battery that was quoted wasn’t suitable for my car. I showed him the emails and he said a needed a different batter that was an extra $200. I told him to leave. I emailed the original guy that quoted. He hasn’t replied which yells me it was a deliberate scam. Quoting 1 price then trying to get more when they were here Show details

Speedy service at the end of the day

I had a flat battery before work in the morning and drove The Launceston Marshalls store after work.

Good price great service

I logged an Enquiry on their website and received a phone call and quickly set a time and agreed price for fitting at my home. George came on the time we agreed and fitted the correct battery to my Motorhome. Cleaned the terminals and tested the starting and voltage etc.

Great Service

I rang Marshall Batteries Adelaide and the person said he would be able to provide a battery for my wifes 2014 V8 Sport Wagon within 1/2 an hour. He was exactly on time, very friendly, very efficient and very well priced for the service at 7.30 at night. Would recommend them anytime. Thanks for the great service. Show details

Great service thanks Stev and Jeremy

Thank you for such great service Jeremy and Steven, my car would not start 3 months ago and I was told by a mechanic I needed a new alternator $460, I am so glad I didn’t accept that advice being female. My car stopped again 3 months later, yesterday I phoned and spoke to Jeremy he was great and said they can check everything on my car even if it is not my Battery. Steven checked my car and thank goodness it was only a new battery. Thank you so much guys for great service.

Woeful

After being on hold (twice) for 15 minutes and getting cut off both times we will never use Marshall battery services for anything in the future. I was forced to call in a mechanic after hours to get us going and sort a new battery. Only reason they get 1 star is because I can't submit with none Show details

Knight in shining armour

I recently had quite big surgery. I had been in hospital for a couple of weeks. I had my review appointment in Bundoora at midday on the6 th December. Im in pain and my car wont start. I hollered for a Marshall almost hysterical. I got Vince from hoppers crossing. He organised that one of his staff come to me before going to another client. Whilst the other gentleman was on his way his car broke down. So Vince then calls one of his night shift staff and he came. This. All happened in just over an hour. I am so grateful. Thank you. GREAT SERVICE

This Morning, I rang Marshall batteries for a new Battery During the phone call the Lady discovered that the battery was just under 3 Years old . Great experience and well priced

My car wouldnt start. I contacted Marshall Batteries and got quoted a cheaper price than buying it myself - being an European car.
Vince came out and checked my car for any faults before diagnosing my battery was shot.
Great guy, very helpful and great service. Highly recommended.

November 6th 2019 Update: Honest and punctual

Called Marshall Batteries as my wifes car would not start.
I thought it may of been an electrical problem but after the Marshall technician diagnosing that the battery (original battery) finally died, she has had no issues with the new battery and starts great.

Very dissapointing. Go elsewhere

Bad workmanship, Marshalls no responsibility. New battery installed, did not tighten bolts. Intermittent problems over coming weeks, then car won't start. RACV come out fixed in one minute , Marshalls didn't want to me. Thanks god for these forums, my only recoarse. Next time l need a battery l will ring them and let them know why l am going some where else Show details

Great Service

Fantastic service. Phone call was quick and professional, was told exactly when the technician would be here, was called again prior to the technician arriving to double check I was home and ready. The technician, Daman, was very polite and knowledgeable and helped me easily understand what was wrong. My problem was solved in 10 minutes and my car can be used again! Bad knowledge of fitting the correct battery! Bad support

Crap! Struggled with battery constantly going flat over the weekend for over 3 years. Contacted Marshall batteries, but they tried to blame it on my driving habits. Told them I was fitted with the wrong size battery (when compared to battery fit guide on their website), but the installer insisted it was correct and their website is wrong.
Just installed a new battery which is 1.5 the size of what Marshall fitted. Never had an issue with the car going flat over the weekend anymore. Show details

Dont go with Marshall

My mechanic tested my 19month Marshall battery which has a 30month warrenty and was almost dead. Marshall refused to give a refund as my mechanic did the work. Not happy. Show details

Rang for battery replacement under warranty. Don't bother if your not in a major city, I'll never buy one again! I have 4 and about to chuck them all... Chinese crap(with a yanky dress) like most stuff these days Show details

Quick and easy

Sunday midday, battery dead needed new one emailed Marshall for a quote, five minutes later quote ($265 for battery Vw amarok),two hours later battery delivered and installed 5 minutes quick easy cheap ,other leading stores $385 and I'd have to go get it and install it.
I will now use them from now on .

Mobile battery replacement

It was 3.30pm on Christmas Eve & my car battery had died. I called 3 other places (which couldn’t help) before Marshall batteries, the service attendant over the phone was excellent, giving me an ETA & the gentlemen that represents Marshall batteries in Adelaide replaced the battery only took 1 hour to arrive & had it fitted in less than 10 mins. Customer service amazing, price amazing, reliable, great job! Would definetly reccomend. Thank you

Life saver, best customer service recieved

I just want to say I have experienced the best customer service I have ever received. I'm lost when it comes to cars, my FIL and husband had tried to remove the battery but couldn't. Bernie was helpful and friendly whilst he quickly removed my battery, which seemed impossible to remove as the battery clamp and bolt was severely corroded. He thoroughly cleaned away the corrosion around the battery and underneath where the battery sat, dried the area and applied a rust preventative. I learnt so much whilst he was fitting the battery. It was a stress free experience, I feel at ease knowing the battery doesn't require water top ups and the 3 year warranty is peace of mind. I highly recommend to Holler a Marshall.

replacement after battery failure

I had a new battery fitted in December 2017, July this year it failed, I went into my local dealer to have it checked, and was told the battery had no amperage left. The dealer replaced the battery with a Marshall endurance at no cost to me. That is service rarely seen today. Thanks Marshall you have won me for ever.

Amazing service!

My car was dead, I called Marshall Batteries and got Daman. He was very friendly, checked everything thoroughly and explained it all to me with a smile until I understood! Excellent service, would highly recommend.

Marshal Batteries poor service and lies

I rang up Marshal Batteries at 9am to have my flat battery replaced. Told it would be there by 11am. I had to phone every hour after 11am all day long being told lies of being almost there. The guy didn't turn up until 6pm!!! There were apologies but it was the lies that got me angry. The biggest one being that after paying a whopping $389 for a standard battery they told me they would refund me $30 for my inconvenience. Haven't seen a cent of that. Probably going into receivership. Avoid them like the plague.

All good, no worries, good people good service

Placed order online, then i called them to organize a time they said within 2 Hours the guy came in 1Hr to my home.

Friendly and quick service, swapped out the battery and all looks good. Just need to give it time and see how its doing down the line in a year or so.

Poor service and communication

Booked in to get my battery replaced. Waited 2 hours so rang them and they lost my booking. Said they will send someone within the hour but would update me. No updates and no one showed. Rang again and they said it would be another hour! Told them to forget it! Their communication was terrible!

Do not honour warranty

Returned a battery that left me stranded 18 months after purchase.

Staff member said it was fine even when put in the test machine it said “REPLACE”

Quote one price, then after completing the battery change, they charge a higher price

Called Marshall to get a quote for a new battery, and was quoted $265. Then the guy comes out and spends 30 mins replacing the battery only to tell me he has been quoted the wrong price, and its now $365. If I refuse, then he will take his battery out and put my old one back in?? Leaving me nowhere... I yield and pay the extra. These guys couldn't run a tuckshop, and I will never use this service again.

Fast Service

They arrived within fifteen minutes. Up & running in no time. Don't know about 'No Call out Fee...' Maybe during business hours. I was charged $40 for after hours call out fee.

I called Marshall batteries, they told me it would be at least an hour and a half.it was 3pm at this

I chose the battery which was $200 but it also came with a two year warranty. The purchasing process was extremely easy. Jason took down the credit card details and it was payed on the spot.

Not too happy

I chose Marshall over another company because they said they'd be here before 2 to 4, which is the time I was told by the other company. That was at 11am. Still waiting at 4:15.

Excellent Customer and On Road Service

I used Marshall before and was very happy so called them when my car battery died at work.

Excellent customer service over the phone from Anita and excellent roadside assistance from Vince who did exactly as instructed over the phone and called me with enough notice to let me get to my car (2 blocks away) to meet him.

Good advice too from both Anita and Vince about replacement battery selection.

I will be back!

Very poor customer service they damaged your car and don't take responsibility. Very rude staff members their supervisors all so very rude.

Great service delivered by Marshall Batteries. When they were running late they promptly let me know and once at my place the work was done quickly and professionally. The technician was friendly and knowledgable and I would highly recommend them!

Follow up service for a faulty battery

We had a battery installed in our car 16 months ago, we had a flat battery when someone left the lights on. We had roadside assist come out to get us started and was told that the battery had collapsed cells. When I called Marshall about getting this replaced as it should have been still under warranty. I was told it would take 2 hours for some one to arrive, at the end of 2 hours when a tech still had not arrived I called back and was told it would be another 1 & 1/2 hours. Not at all happy about their after sales support. I still don't have the battery replaced. Next time I will just go with NRMA much better service.

fast and quick service!

Technician came within an hour! he gave 2 options wether I want to jumpstart ($80) or replace with new one ($184)

I chose to replace it cause I need to be save at any time! :D
