Martec Profile Plus 2
MBHP2LW (White), MBHP2LS (Silver) (See All)Reviewer Photos & Videos
The fan is useless. With the window open and only having a short shower on moderate water temperature, the bathroom still fills up with condensation. Would not recommend. Stay away.

I had this unit installed about 6 years (2014) ago as a part of a whole bathroom renovation. I have since had to have it replaced! After about 2 years the fan wouldn't operate when switching the power on. I had to get a ruler and manually push the fan for it to start rotating (after turning the power on). Only recently the exhaust fan completely stopped working.
The unit came with a 3 year warranty so I contacted Martec by phone initially (June 2016). The women that I dealt with were rude and unhelpful and suggested that maybe they weren'...
Read moret installed correctly. They also didn't believe what I had to say so asked me to email video evidence. After emailing video evidence and completing the paperwork, unfortunately Martec wouldn't pay the warranty claim as I couldn't produce a receipt directly provided from the electrician due to having this renovation organised through a sub-contractor. Martec were supplied with the qualified electrician's name and licence number but they still refused to pay the claim. In addition to this, when the fans were working they barely did anything anyway. There was always a mass amount of condensation left in the bathroom. Even after a short shower and especially in winter. I was advised that there had to be cross ventilation to assist the unit. I would leave a window open but even so they still didn't work well at all. I would not recommend this product to anyone - in fact I will never buy another Martec branded item again. If you're in the market for bathroom exhaust units, I'd be happy to answer questions about the units that I have just purchased, which have excellent exhaust functionality and a heating function that isn't heat lamps.Purchased in at Mases Lighting for $159.01.

The exhaust fan is as good as useless. Contacted Martec. They say it is not a warranty issue because it is working and that you need to leave the window open a bit. It is minus 3 degrees here in the morning so we are not likely to do that. Yes. the fan is making a noise but it extracts virtually nothing. Fan we had before was much better.

Great exhaust, light and heat lamps. Nice design and looks great and price is great if you buy onlin
I can't agree with the previous reviewer.
I had this installed in my ensuite for nearly 1.5 years now. It's a small ensuite so I only had the 2 heat lamp MXFLT25S model installed. I think the 4 lamps version exhaust extraction is the same as 2 heat lamps one.
The exhaust extracts the air great. Every time I have a shower I would turn on the exhaust and heat lamp and leave the exhaust on after shower for 1 hour so the bathroom will be nice and dry. The fan hasn't failed and I usually leave it on for additional 1-2 hours minimum. The fan is s...
Read moretill going strong after 1.5years of long hour usage each and every day. This is definitely not made for a large bathroom and some people expect a small unit like this to work on their large bathroom and blames it on the fan to work. If you have a large bathroom have additional ceiling exhaust and this unit in conjunction.Exhaust is completely useless. Doesn't extract any air. Even after a quick shower with exhaust fan on- all bathroom gets foggy. LED lights also give very low light. The globes are so tiny & light doesn't spread. Don't waste your money. I had a simple standalone ceiling exhaust last time & it was very good.

We have a small bathroom (2m3 x 2m3) and the 2 heat elements at 275W each are ample. 4 heat elements would be too much! The 3 LED lights - 3x 9W GU10 (3000K) - provide great coverage of the area.
Overall, we were impressed with the fan having a 460m3/hr flow rate. Ultra quiet with almost the same draw as some kitchen exhaust fans!
We have a flat roof so we needed to put in a false ceiling to fit the unit adequately and did not worry about the included ducting. To allow a constant draw of air during the day out of the bathroom, we installed a roof vent above it too.
So far not one negative. We just bought a second for our other bathroom today.
We bought a white one to match our white ceiling but they also come in silver.

I agree with the previous reviewer. The exhaust is crap. It basically doesn't do anything. I had an IXL in my previous house which worked way better and it was rated lower than the Martec 460m3/h. I will contact customer service but i dont expect to get much out of them
We recently installed this unit in our ensuite and sadly it doesn't really do anything apart from light the room. The exhaust basically does nothing. We had this ducted originally and on calling the customer service dept was told it would work better without it and with some cross ventilation (door open or window open). Kind of defeats the purpose really. We took the ducting out and leave the door and window open which allows the unit to slightly work, however the condensation builds up so much it drips all over the floor like another shower! ...
Read moreThe heat lamps work but it's hardly what I'd call warm. Good LED lights though. We were thinking of replacing the unit with an IXL Neo however those reviews seem much the same. Previously we've used a IXL unit (cheaper model) and that worked fantastically, maybe old is better in some cases.Find out how Martec Profile Plus 2 compares to other Electric Heaters
