Less than a star, unprofessional
This company is a total joke,
-They charge 2.5c per LITRE for hot water --Electricity is on par with most normal plans.
-Terrible organisation and communication.
-Will leterbox drop you with no envelop if they threaten to disconnect you.
-Cant give clear correct answers and will without hesitation overcharge bills.
(usefull tip, if they do this to you, TELL them you are disputing their bill. As legislation clearly states that an energy provider/resaler etc CANNOT DISCONNECT your power whilst an invoice is in dispute.)
-The phone manner is...disgusting. You often have to ask if you have rang the right number as they will sometimes just say HELLO???. -They bumble stuff up constantly disconnection notice when on plan, Threatening emails, texts and phone calls.
BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY EVER
Unfortunately we were given no option by our complex and had to use them. We got almost $190 bill in a month and we are hardly even home. So unbelievable. All my colleagues says they have never gotten such a high bill from their energy suppliers not even during summer. Please guys ask questions about energy supplier before moving into a house.

Excellent Customer Service
Massive thank you to the MEH team for getting power connected so quickly. Customer service was excellent every step of the way. Not often you have good things to say about energy companies.
Never use this company
Their internal processes are embarrassing. Building management themselves said that they wish they weren’t in contract with this company because of the amount of complaints they receive about this provider. Realestate agent says the same thing. They have a reputation in the Brisbane area for their gross business practices.
Unfortunatly we bought into a complex that had done a very poor deal with this company. As of writing comparing to AGL our costs are 42% higher and there is nothing we can do at the moment. 100% for sure when their contact expires they will be terminated. Steer clear from these crooks
Surly people with no phone manner
As part of living in a complex, we are mandated through the dodgy Body Corp arrangement to use these losers.
Bills are okay, not too expensive, no major complaint about this. Except for the lack of choice. I'd have stuck with Origin, if it had been my way.
However, they hound you to pay, no phone manners, no reasonableness. Usually there is a state border divide that is responsible for this, but judging by the number, you jokers are local.
Bark bark bark. You do this now. Sieg Heil! Rubbish business and now looking at this mob's reviews, I'm not surprised.
When signing a lease, ensure that you have the choice you are legally entitled to. Or else, maybe consider somewhere else.
Overcharged on an invoice and refuse to refund money. Instead say its a credit towards next bill. My Money
Live in a large complex of rented houses. We all have to use ME. I got a bill and paid early. Then I got a second invoice after I had paid the bill and was still 12 days away from the actual due date.
Then today I got a 3rd bill for the same period. But this one had the $50 government rebate. So as I had paid early I asked for the $50 to be refunded to my account. They refused to refund the $50.
They said it would count against the next bill. In 3 months’ time. All the while all of these $50 are sitting in ME bank account getting interest.
I ...said I had paid my account in good faith early and that if I had waited until the last minute and the arrival of the 3rd reminder. I would not be out of pocket $50. They just refused to refund their mistake in my invoice, money that the government said should go towards my bill. I will get a credit in 3 months’ time. I wonder how many people in QLD, have had the same experience?

This company dont care if you have power or you dont. $1000.00 bill for 3 months what a joke!!! Im home 3 days out of 7 so how the hell do you work that out!

WORST COMPANY EVER
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. no compassion, they refuse to help people in hardship. There is no way to complain to the electricity ombudsman at all. As they are a sub Como ya and not a main retailer. I’ve never had a bill come in less then $600 a quarter. They send out disconnection notices and when you contact them they refuse to help. Staff and especially managers are so rude and not helpful at all.
EBOLA is a better choice than Metered Energy
Not worthy of even one star rating but its a review requirement. Very very expensive rates and locked into a contract with them due to body corp agreement. Work 40+ hrs per week and only me in a one bedder. Bills still come in at $400 a month or just under! Inflexible, greedy, corporate pirates! Whomever said crime doesn't pay obviously weren't including Metered Energy!
My power bill is always about 500 or above, even though my local area is on average 260 for the quarter.
The service is terrible and i will never go with them again!

Firs of all, this company is the most complained about energy company in QLD.
Body corporate & these Bulk Metered Energy Companies like Metered Energy make a deal when the apartment complex gets built wherein The Bulk Metered Energy Company offers owners and body corporate HUGE cash incentives to have them as their electricity provider.
They then overcharge like CRAZY to recoup this money and make a profit at the renters expense.
The truly terrible thing about this is a lot of these houses are NRAS which means tenants are LOW INCOME earners, so moving into a place like this is supposed to help them but it ONLY HINDERS them as they get charged insanely high prices for electricity.
Worst Energy Supplier out there.
Do not use this Company. It is not worth lower rent pricing. Very high quarterly bills. Two weeks to pay, or they send in Collections.
This company increased the price of power in July. Because I live in a unit complex have no choice but to use them. I think this is very unfair as there are some really good deals out there now but am stuck with an overpriced non negotiable company. Pay my bill in advance have never been late but is this recognized by this company, no have had to use them for over 6 years why should I have to move to change. There must be some organization that we can contact to look into this company.
Extremely Expensive and Dodgy Business Practices
Apparently these guys get the building managers to sign a contract of exclusivity or something with them, and then they rip everybody off with incredibly expensive bills. I'm considering moving out just because of how expensive the hot water bills are. More than $70 monthly and that is about the average price each resident pays!

Worst energy company on the planet, total rip off and rort, I will never ever move into a complex again that uses ME as there electricity provider. One star is too much for these criminals! I am leaving my complex and breaking my lease because of the over inflated bills. My unit is a small 2 bedder and I am charged more than friends of mine who live in a 5 bedroom house with a pool and spa!
Stay clear of these rorters
Forced into using this company in my current complex and the amount they charge is an absolute joke - they must have some sort of lucrative deal with [name removed], terrible company.

USE ANYONE but this company. Metered Energy are a RIP OFF!!! Live in an apartment complex and everyone would like to change electrical providers but are not allowed to. By far the most expensive uncaring electrical provider ever experience. You could rent a more expensive place and still save money. 1 star is too generous.
Use any electrical provider BUT Metered Energy
This company and the way they treat the average income earner is absolutely disgusting.
Work full time, hardly use appliances was just away overseas and the electrical bill still $170.00!! For 2 weeks. Also live with a 5 year old.
You would save more money renting from a property that DOES NOT use Metered Energy. Previously my bill was only $40-$60 a month, using exactly the same appliances etc.
Exhorbitant costs and horrendous customer service
This has to be THE worst energy provider I've ever had to deal with. Unfortunately my apartment block has a contract with them and we're forced to use them, and they take full advantage of that. They have continually sent bulk bills of 6 month periods (as opposed to monthly or quarterly so you can't regularly monitor your usage) and have tried to get away with significant overcharging. If ever you're forced to use them, check your meter readings yourself as they simply can't be trusted. If you're not forced, go with anyone else. ANYONE. Y...ou'll likely get better service than this. Their staff don't communicate with each other and when the problem has been recognised as being infrastructure on their side, be prepared to deal with multiple home visits where they pay little or no respect to your residence while there. These are despicable people and I strongly recommend anyone considering their services to opt out (if you can).
Have had a great experience with Metered Energy, everything was seamless, great customer service. All my enquiries were handled brilliantly even some of my sillier questions. Have been really happy with them.
Disgusting company with no regard to customer welfare
Metered energy installed a meter that caught fire and caused me to lose power for 7 days. When they finally arrived to fix the meter after over 20 phone calls they tried to charge me for the replacement. They also offered no compensation for the loss of power for a week. They are without a doubt the worst energy supplier I have ever had the great displeasure of dealing with.

Not great when all your services rolled up. These people don't bother to send quarterly bills as stated then after chasing them for a bill finally one arrives. Advised moving updated details provided still bill is posted to old address without any consolation or explanation. If you have a choice choose a reliable provider.
Team are very helpful , and the process of getting services on was really easy. getting services activated can be challenging but they know the whole building and its ins and outs.
