Masters Home Improvement
It's really good functionaly but there are things and improvementertainment to be fixed.
It's got great service but there needs to be more chairs the only chair I've seem is next to the bathrooms this is rediculous and needs to be fixed, maybe have planners like Bunnings maybe if you copied bunnings more you'd be more successful, instead of putting all your money into different aspects. Although I'm not a buyer I quite like the whole set out. Also why not provide more demos be kid friendly and more diy workshops, give customers more options and flexibility the last thing I'll say is medium sized baskets are bad for a start the ha...Read more
ndleft is top short and to small. Maybe also make customers feel more free. Ok thanks I know these things are minor but you'd be surprised that min or improvements go a long way to success focus on flaws and fix them think of flaws and how to fix them I cam see plenty. More tools also.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Nice surprise that they still accepted our gift cards
We don't really have a Masters nearby - the closest store being South Morang (which is about 30+ minutes drive) - but received a gift card as an engagement gift because we're renovating our home. We dropped in once when we were going past a store months ago and had a look but left empty handed as we didn't have the gift card on us. Then we heard the news that Masters was closing down and started to get worried that they wouldn't allow us to redeem our gift card (as what happened with Borders when they closed a few years ago) - the gift card was...Read more
for a few hundred dollars, so we really wanted to use it if we could. We visited our nearest store on our first free weekend and enquired with a staff member whether they were still accepting gift cards. She assured us that they were and even double checked with the manager (unasked) just to make sure we wouldn't be blindsided. We were a little disappointed that all the sales they were advertising turned out to only be 10% off but understood this isn't the staff's doing. We ended up grabbing a few things for our new bathroom (spending more than the gift card value) and redeemed the gift card without issue. The same staff member we spoke with upon entry even came over to help us checkout through the self-serve checkouts.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Smiles in the Gloom
Reading a lot of these reviews I think I've been lucky. Renovating at the moment and I've bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff from the Bibra Lake store in the past few months both in store and online. Never had a drama and staff have always been fantastic.
Even in the gloom of the staff loosing their jobs I've still had great service. The manager Rachel especially.
Not happy with the false start fire sale but that's big corporations for you. Woolworths are shooting themselves in the foot. Upsetting customers is just dumb business. No one likes a liar.

Masters North Lakes
A pity they are closing, The staff are always very helpful and able to offer alternative items or advice for varying projects/tasks. I was looking advice for some painting tasks and the Paint Staff gave me a quite a few ideas on how best to handle the job and tips on best decorating practice. I would loved to have worked there it was a great atmosphere.

It is good in there
I haven't been in to the store for a couple of weeks but I walk past it everytime I go to the supermarket. Staff are cheerful and they have always been better for customer service. It is a pity.... The staff are much better than a Bunnings store in my experience!

Thank you
I would like to thank for all the help we had at Masters. Especially a young lady at Braybrook Patricia, she helped us when we complained about the way Laminated Floor was laid and made sure that eventually it was done to our satisfaction and I know she went to a great deal of trouble to please us and I would especially like to thank her for all the hard work she went to until it was done to our satisfaction

Very Helpful staff
I actually found Masters staff quite helpful. I went with the family into the store to get a consultation on a kitchen reno. Unlike my local Bunnings store where your lucky to find a stool to sit, There was place to sit down and the girl skipped her lunch to explain the various options we had. They had a pretty good range as well.

Well thought out store
First visit, sadly going out of business prompted me to visit. Great deals and very friendly staff. I thought the store lay-out was better than Bunnings - I was looking for a BBQ deal and wasn't dissapointed

Masters- rethink your strategy
I have always found Masters staff to be polite and helpful. We have purchased a kitchen from Masters and couldn't be happier. The most frustrating part about Masters is the positioning of their stores. We used to live in the lower hunter and had two Masters within 20 minutes. Which was fantastic!
Now I live where the bulk of the population is in Newcastle and Masters are close to an hour away. From speaking to other people in the area it is the distance that is impacting on shopping at Masters. Place one in close proximity to the hub of the city and watch the sales come in!!!

Refreshing alternative to Bunnings
I regularly shop at both big home improvement and would have to say the service is significantly better than Bunnings. In most cases technical knowledge is better. It's usually very difficult to get assistance inBunnings and they are not always very helpful.
Masters product range is better and there drive through setup for building materials is much better.

Prices of Fridge are cheaper than the rest!
We did some research since we want to buy a new fridge.Usually we go to good guys since they have "pay cash payless"; but to our surprise its $200-300cheaper in masters!:)
So before doing appliances shopping consider Masters before buying!:)
happy shopping!

Kitchen visit
I've read the awful reviews and I am surprised - we've just been to the Masters in Manly and we are v impressed. I absolutely dislike Bunnings as I find them hopeless with poor service but I found the staff excellent. We arrived at 5:30 - 1/2 an hour before closing time and they made us feel welcome.
The manager on the way out had a great attitude and was praising his staff for a great day.
we will get out kitchens from there as prices seem good - although waiting from Octover until Feb for bench tops is crazy ! So we will just get cabinetry there.

My kitchen reno was just so easy!
From the first contact with the staff at the Joondalup Store to the kitchen being finished 7 weeks later nothing was too much trouble. I have a small kitchen so everything had to be spot on - designer Dani came for the initial consultation and came up with some good ideas & was only too happy to listen to what I wanted - a couple of little extras which meant a lot to me but had to be specially made. They listened, consulted with the installer and then 3 weeks we were underway. It took a little longer than I had anticipated because of my choi...Read more
ces of Caesarstone benchtops and Glass splashbacks and it was inconvenient not having a cooktop or sink for the entire time but it was well worth the wait. Each process was inspected before the next stage commenced and any hiccups dealt with immediately. From the Installer to the Area Supervisor I couldn't be happier with the result. Nothing but positive comments here.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Kitchen consultation was very helpful
We recently paid $50 for an architect/kitchen consultant to come out to our house and do a measure and quote. We then followed up with a 1.5hr appt at their Northland store later that week. I must say I was very impressed with the advice we were given. Silvana was very candid with her suggestions and didn't hesitate to tell us if something we were planning on doing was a bad idea. We have yet to decide whether we are going ahead with their kitchen, but their detailed design and images are a great start for us to source some more quotes. $50 well spent.

Very pleased with result
An inexpensive carpet solution with a premium underlay (my choice/ I upgraded it as I bought the house it was going into) makes for a great result. The contractors Masters use do a fine job.

Masters Chullora Has a Big THEFT PROBLEM
Have you ever been to Masters Chullora. I am a big fan of Masters since the very first week Masters opened at last real competition in the Hardware field. Australian shoppers have been for years payed for overpriced items just because Australia s population is small & no real competitors those same retailers are now going broke. Just go online to the SEARS Target Kmart.com.usa or the Hardware chains alike Lowes Home improvement or Home depo in the USA note there prices are dirt cheap com paired to the land down under.

hopping there recently and have noticed some unprofessional behavior although staff are friendly customer service can be quite a challenge. The unprofessional behavior in the name of Theft reduction is becoming more noticeable when paying customers are selected by front staff on there approach to the self service cash register. At times staff will just unexpectedly take over the self service register to make shore that each & every item is scanned. This is excutied always in a very rush manner & no welcome or reason this becomes more noticeable during the late evenings. Customers are also surveyed by plain cloths staff which is normal in most stores however approach is take very differently isles are maned up & down like Buckingham Palace. They close off all self service registers causing a very long waiting period & only leave one open which paying customers are then targeted the lose items & take over there scanning including there transaction. I would like to ask why have store plain cloths security standing around talking to staff about there personal lives & have front store staff select who they should pick out by the way all paying customers to screen. All this & the exit raceway alarm is activating with no baggage checks carried out? If they keep doing this they will lose paying customers to Bunnings were this despicable behavior to paying customers I have not seen happen. The only shoppers will then be the Thief-es shopping at Masters Chullora.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

5% Trade Member Card
To date; I’ve purchased Timber, Hardware, Kitchen, Appliances, Roofing, Flooring and Gardening...
Masters have made it cheaper by introducing a Masters 5% Trade Member Card… A Masters stroke of genius for this consumer! You will note their prices are not jacked up to compensate this reduction.
The same conditions apply when it comes to 10% price reduction, as the item and packaging must be identical… This is why we are seeing so many foreign brand names popping up in Bunnings and Masters.
Regarding familiar brand names that both Hardwa...Read more
re Stores supply; I’ve done my comparisons driving backwards and forwards, used the Internet to seek the cheapest price etc… and it turns out our Masters are in front, hence my purchases to date. My Masters Staff are friendly, but appear hard to find in a Store that’s not as busy and buzzing as Bunnings. There are call buttons located in aisles that will summon a Staff member too attend to you.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!
