Good riddance - Infinity cable sellers
Bought infinity cable from these jokers and we all know how that worked out. Also aircon unit that was easy to organise and install but trying to get the advertised discount for it, well lets just say what goes around comes around, owned by woolies I believe, no doubt they will go under next, poor customer service too.

Ripped Off
While buying some electrical parts today it was announced that everything in store was sold to one person and sales would stop. I was told I could go to checkout with what I had in tolley. My items went through check out and was told $14.24 after 90% off and gave them $15 when I got in my car and started driving off I realised my purchases full price would had been $140 the few things I had would be nowhere near that price as I am a retied electrical contractor. I checked not $14.25 my receipt which showed $4.25 so I went back at door, I was to...
Read moreld the store was lose and I could not enter when I said I was over charged and wanted to go back to checkout very rudely I was told I could not enter. I was starting to get angry with the way I was spoken to then a women old me to give her my phone no they were about to check the tills and if they were $10 over they would phone me. I am still waiting if this is how woolworths treat their customers I might have shop elsewhere.Sinking to new lows
Weeks ago my mother purchased a rangehood from the Canberra store - as it was a display item staff asked her to return at the end of November to collect. When she arrived they had somehow lost the item and tried to get her to take one that wasn't even the right dimensions. They initially refused to refund her fir the product she never received then finally said "just give her a refund to get rid of her" - I have read the terms and conditions on the masters website about their liquidation returns and its states refunds will not be given for change of mind - not that they won't be given if they can't supply the customer with the product they paid for - disgusting

All good things come to an end
The staff are helpful and lovely. Masters will be missed. I like the music they play instore also. Better than the opposition.

BAD STAFF Member, disgusting attitude.
There is no clearer way of being objective and factual.
The female staff member at Masters Bayswater WA was so horrible in her manner towards me it made me feel sick to the stomach thinking of whom she might be working for next. Asking her about the warranty about an item I am buying, she barked at me to just go to customer service counter. She made no effort to say politely, kept saying she knows nothing. Who would ever want to employ such an ignorant person is beyond my comprehension. No desire to find out. No can do attitude. She is definitely a liability to a business.
Faulty stock being sold during Liquidation period.
Saturday 05/11, I purchased an outdoor battery operated decorative candle in a cane style basket + a small cabinet that was obviously ex-floor display. Upon returning home I noticed that the base of the candle was missing it's lid that holds 2 x 'C' sized batteries in place, and the cabinet was damaged. I returned to the store on Sunday 06/11 with these items. The liquidator tried to force me to keep them no matter what, and suggested that I should have inspected them thoroughly prior to leaving the store ! He said that once I had purchased, th...
Read moreey belonged to me. After much discussion, he reluctantly took back the candle but I had to take something else in it's place (no refund), and would not allow me to return the cabinet, but instead, gave a small discount off what I paid, for me to keep it. I just want customers to be aware if purchasing anything from Masters stores until they close down, to check everything thoroughly or don't bother, as they are not keen on returning anything - even if faulty !! I totally understand if I simply had changed my mind, but the goods were definitely faulty.Read sale advertising but interpret to advantage
Example: Masters closing down sale everything 30 to 60% off plus for the next 2 days get an extra 10% off of your total purchase at the checkout, pretty clear that doesn't make it 40 to 70% off everything but as usual a minority read the ad then have there own interpretation. Always a pleasure shopping at Masters good luck to all staff for the future.
Tricky scammers
Test has out for wrong pricing at the register and refusal to refund wrong pricing!!!! Unbelievable. You can see the price charged but not the discount given.
They have lots of other tricky practices. Eg the extra 10% is NOT 10% of the original price it is 10% of the reduced price ie if 50% it is 10% of 50% ie 5%

Paint not As Describe
Really think they are undermining our consumer law's. I brought paint from Masters and the paint was not the same when put on wall. I would even say it seemed thinner. And lighter. Different on wall. On taking it back as thinking they gave me wrong paint colour I was told by liquidation officer that he wasn't going to do anything about it. I phoned head office complained as didn't even compare colour of paint, check paint. I received phone call and ask to come down by manager to store. Then told that she only was going to test paint colour upon...
Read more arriving at store. She took small amount and put it on card. It was lighter but she couldn't wouldn't recognise it. She was never going to exchange or refund. I explained to Manager paint was very thin on wall and not coming up as colour on card. She wouldn't listen. And that was it. A customer who was going to by paint standing beside me he asked me about the paint. I said its faulty have a look pointing to a big stand of all this paint return's, customers have brought back. I said that stand speaks for its self its not worth the hassle. I was yelled at by manager told to level store. When I wouldn't because still was showing how the paint was lighter on back of card another card with a larger amount. As of course colour will come up never if put on sample of colour so put on back of card to compure and you could clearly see. Manager not interested. Manager got security to take me out of store. The security came and he could see I was doing nothing wrong looking at a colour book. And told him i have said and don nothing wrong. He spoke to manager and worked off shaking head as you could see he was disgusted. And I mentioned I felt very threatened by Manager to him which i did. Just after this I picked up paint and left. Never to return. Phoned head office again but no reply. Really think they are some how diluting the paint. Its just not true to colour. thickness. Interesting if you could check this out some how. As really believe something is going on. Have been treated so badly I have medical condition EDS Vascular and Fibromaliga exspland this before I took paint down that I didn't won't any further stresses, but this didn't seem to worry these people. Its not even about the lost money as will throw paint out. But more they continue to rip us off. And that don't care. Contacted ACCC. And have field complaint. Not just about paint matter but also how they have been literally court out on Price increasing before sale. As court out taken cheaper tickets off shelves. Leaving paper with increase starting price Really would like your help on mater thanks Really think they are undermining our consumer law's. Check your goods won't change a 180 dollar door
Bought a door stain glass damaged they won't replace it and dealing with a liquidator not a manager. Just told me to go away and told me the door was cheap. I said it's no good to use so its not worth anything.
Masters misleading discounts
Masters have been advertising up to 50% discount. Then on the 17 and 18th of October they again advertised an extra 10% off at the checkout. Most people would think and expect a 60% discount if they purchased a product that had a in store discount of 50% (50 % plus extra 10%), that would be wrong by Masters calculations, how they work it is: They give you 50% off the original price of the item then apply the 10% discount to the discounted price, so the total discount is less than 60% of the original price. Good one Masters. The staff don't understand how it works either, they tell you its 60% off. I hope the ACCC have a look at this.

Terrible Service
I was DISGUSTED in the customer service i got today from a employee named "[name removed]" I called around 1245 19th oct . I have brought many items in the past and they have been replaced or thoroughly helped me get it fixed. Today "[name removed]" cut me off mid sentence said they hold no responsibility for the product and when i asked for her name so i could come and talk in person her reply was " nuh , I'm not giving out that information , its not my fault you can't remember things. Bye!' and hung up. Luckily i remembered her name so i can find her when i come in .
I understand that masters is going out of business but that is no reason to let the customer service drop so far below average.
Masters of Nothing
Hi,
I've just been to Masters store in Scoresby and returned disappointed and disgusted.
I was standing in the queue to pay for my stuff where in front of me a gentleman who wanted to return a faulty product was not only wrongfully refused a refund but was treated quite condescendingly by the lady manager on duty. I dropped everything in my hands and left the store. No wonder you guys are closing down and good luck to your staff finding a job specially the lady at the front counter.
SHAME ON YOU masters.
One part Rort, one part untrained managers
Master has a sign in the tool shop under the product i wanted to buy saying, 20% Off the lowest ticketed price. The Ticketed price has original price $195 reduced to $135, and in small print no further discounts apply. So 2 labels that contradicted each other. Ask the guy at the tool shop and he said whatever the lowest ticket price is, take 20% off, which is how i read it. Take it to the counter, it comes up with $169 reduced to $135. Cashier refused to take the 20% off, called the manager, refused to make eye contact with me, once the cashier...
Read more told him the issue, he said that's the price and told the cashier, i won't talk to customers who want to argue, call another manager. 10 Mins later, another manager came and insisted the tickets sign over ruled the other sign - anyone with any education in retail pricing knows that this is not the law and not the case. If 2 prices are advertised the retailer it required to honour the lower of the 2 prices. Imagine going to fill up at the pump. The board price says, $1.00 per litre, your get to the pump and it says $1.20. There are massive fines to fuel sites who do this, and every console operator who probably has less experience than any one of these master managers, knows this. Its a rort.Questions & Answers
