Beyond the call ....
I bought a washing machine with extended warranty (4 extra years for just over $100) and delivery/installation from Masters in Keysborough.
Masters was $100 cheaper than anywhere else for the same model machine (including Good Guys who told me they couldn't do any better and were unfriendly and bored looking). Masters were really helpful in comparing machine brands, including phoning the manufacturer to get extra information.

Fantastic experience so far
This is not a one off. This is from installing 4 kitchens/laundry so far. Could not speak highly enough of the experience each and every time. I am not affiliated in any way with Masters, just reviewing our experiences so far.
There does seem to be a few bad experiences had but ultimately it is your kitchen you are installing and you have to realise that occasionally things don't go to plan.
It's easy to sit back and watch a home improvement show and believe you can achieve similar results with minimal experience in renovations abi...lities or thought. We were told from the outset that there were delays. 6 weeks. We were constantly kept up to date by the sales staff from the Elenbrook WA store and could not speak highly enough from Silvia and the team. Once ordered, the rep came to site to confirm measurements and make any necessary adjustments which was a great assistance as it was discovered the floor waste required repositioning which we did not consider during the design phase.

Not once, not twice, but every time I have visited Masters (at least a dozen) the service has been excellent ! - we travel past two Bunnings stores to get there.
Congratulations to the team at Masters both Tingalpa and Springfield.
Keep up the level of service that you do and the business will come to you.
That includes suppliers eventually.

Purchased an oven from Burnside on Friday Nov 1st, fantastic service from salesman [name removed], he was knowledgeable, very pleasant, nothing was any trouble. They didn't have the one I wanted so [name removed] phoned Roxburgh Park and [name removed] put the only one she had aside for me, hassle free, delivered Monday 4th, at 9am, the delivery guy was delightful.

Old Fashioned Service
It is rare to find such good old fashioned service these days particularly from a major retailer. unlike their major opposition, staff are always friendly, helpful and able to be found when you need them. They have even helped me carry large items out to the car. They have a great range of products and their staff are very knowledgeable about what they sell. It is a nice change to shop here compared to most retail experiences today.

Masters Home Improvement Rutherford Second Chance
To Be fair,I decided to give Masters Rutherford a Second Chance,and this time they were Excellent,thanks to the Manager himself.
In my first review,I was never going back,however,I saw another item listed on their website,as being in stock,and one which I wanted to buy.
I decided to ring their 1300 number,to check,whether it was in stock at Rutherford,and told the operator why,I was wary of trusting their website advice on Availability.
I mentioned Product Review,and the many Negative Reviews Masters in General had received.
While I...was talking to him,he obviously checked for himself via the internet,and was not only unaware,of their poor performance,but also very surprised, I was then connected to the Manager at Rutherford,who Personally checked the item was in stock,and had it waiting at the front counter for me to pick up,later in the day.
Perfect for the chef within!.....but beware of vinyl wrap ...get your warranty details clear
Attended sth Oakliegh store and was very impressed by Stephen my designers knowledge ,found him to be most professional and on further discussion found that he was once in the trade himself( which was fairly self evident)
Quality of cabinets is standard -or slightly better due to being Aussie made ! Can you believe it? True

Masters were very helpful in my decision of buying a vacuum cleaner. The lady from South Morang was very knowledgeable and listened to everything I wanted in a vacuum cleaner and helped me find the suitable one. Not much of a selection.
I bought a window some weeks ago. When I got around to fitting the window, the key was missing so couldn't open it. This was not the stores fault but a problem from the manufacturer/supplier.
Problem was discovered on Saturday afternoon when I had made a large hole in the wall. I rang the store (Ellenbrook WA) and was advised to fit the window and someone would call me on Monday. Went into trade area of masters Preston on sunday 18/5 with measurements of a idea i had but no clue what i needed and spoke to a bloke [name removed] who helped me with the items I should use and also cut them to the size and recommended what I should use to fix it all together a great service and a great help with cutting and helping me to the car with all the items I will be back if all the staff are like him great effort

Great service, nice and patient
Sunday I went to Master Home Improvement at Roxburgh Parkand , try to DIY my decking from scratch. They helped me from 11AM to 5PM, picked up everything for me, all the related material for me, planed decking for me as well. It was 6 hours continuously planing, searching, picking and I got all the stuff related including the shovel for digging the hole, nails, timbers, paint, gloves, drills .... everything. And He also give me a discount for everything I bought.
They actually was going to have a 1 and half hour lunch break, however, He sta...yed and helped me out. I just want say a great thanks to them and want to share this with everyone who goes to Master Home Improvement. I am not saying Bunnings is bad however their price is not compatitive compare to Masters. I will use Masters from now on since they have everything I need and with more reasonable price. Love the new competition
Finally some competition in the market. Been to masters 6 times now, every weekend since I found out about it. The range is great, seems to be growing all the time. I find the customer service is helpful, the fact that they dont just point is huge, and they care for what u buy. Product knowledge is quite good, and the store layout is clean neat and tidy. It's a shame that bunnings have their usual smear campaign toward competition. It's the dirty tricks that pulled me toward masters. I've renovated my entire house at masters and I live at balg...owlah, just down the road from bunnings, and I would do it again. A decent, clean, organized shop that's only going to help us the consumers. Well done 5 stars. ALDI of hardware.... Obviously mr bunnings writes that. Shame. Having never been to Masters Home Hardware i decided to have a look to see what they have in comparison to Bunnings so last Saturday i went to my nearest one at North Lakes. i was pleasantly surprised the store was neat and tidy, they had large variety and plenty of stock, it was light and bright and i didn't have to go looking for staff for help there where plenty to go around. did not expect to find a computer chair nor washing machines, dryers, microwaves at a hardware store.

We wanted to tell you how impressed we were with the excellent service and courtesy we received from Masters when purchasing our new Fisher & Paykel fridge last week, 22/11/2012 and it was delivered this afternoon. The sales representative is called Guy and he has a broad knowledge of fridges and answered our questions professionally.
Guy is very friendly and helpful and we would like to thank him for the easiest purchase we have ever made. The delivery took place as arranged and the delivery men were polite. No doubt we will go back to Masters for any future purchases. Thank you!

Brooklyn Staff know their stuff
Each time I have been to Brooklyn Masters, the staff were friendly and had great product knowledge. I've brought a number of large ticket items from there now. Fridge, Oven, Cooktop.
Never have I had such great customer service from a store (any store) I honestly was not expecting such great service. I guess it comes down from the top, they employee good staff and ensure they are trained on the products. But I'd say the Brooklyn store has it down pat. They staff aren't pushy to make a sale and only happy to spend time with you to ful...l explain the products and other options for you to consider. Nothing seems like it was too much trouble. If I can buy the Product there, I'd rather go there than go to other places such as Good Guys etc. Really genuine staff - check it out during the week when it isn't so busy. I'd imagine the weekends, it would be packed. If they are busy, I hope their level of service is still maintained. Great selection of goods, competitively priced, friendly, helpful staff who had been trained on their products. I drive 15km just to go there rather than go to my local Bunnings.
The people in Masters are very friendly and are always offering to help. I love how Masters have employed a variety of young and old. I particularly like the older people working there. They offer a lot of knowledge and experience. I commend Masters for employing them. The environment is great. I can spend the whole day there.

Needs more places to sit and take a break. Maybe offer a water cooler in places? It is a huge place. People get tired.
Masters coming to Bundaberg
We moved back to Australia in March and being a home handyman was interested to see how Masters stacked up against Bunnings and compared to Lowes (parent company) and Home Depot in the USA.
First impression was how well laid out the store was (nearly a carbon copy of the Lowes stores in the USA) so it was very easy to find the things I was looking for, also many of the brands were the same as the Lowes stores in the USA.
We found the staff very friendly and prompt with service answering any questions we had on products.
