Maui Jim Lava tube. Over priced
Only owned Lava tube Maui jim glasses for 3 months and the frames have already snapped. Very lightweight material and not durable at all. Snapped twice. Wont purchase any maui jim glasses again
Great Sunglasses Dismal warranty and service
One of the Lenses fell out of my glasses and cracked.
Returned them with the damaged lens which clearly showed that the damage had occurred after the lens had dislodged.
Glasses were repaired at my expense, but can not understand how a lens falling out of the frame can not be considered a warranty issue.
Over Them - Lenses consistently pop out!
Owned 2 pairs of these and both are going back for the 3rd time for lenses popping out. I too was asked do you wear them on your head ? Of course I do they are sunglasses. Expensive and unreliable !

Not what they used to be!
I've Worked out I've spent $3,353 on Maui Jims in the last 15 years and have had nothing but good things to say about them until recently. The reason I've always bought Maui's and spent the extra money is that if I ever had a problem they would stand by their product and fix it free of charge. It's no longer the case, they charged me because they believed that the sunglasses were damaged on my part by, get this... wearing them on my head! This must be a common excuse because I hadn't even told them if I'd worn them on my head but I found it sur...prising to know that you can't do it or they'll break, awsome selling point. Seems like the product quality, the service or both have taken a major drop. Can't believe a company can treat their loyal customers with so little care, really disappointed and won't be buying them again. Spent thousands with them and felt they had to charge me $140 because THEY sold me defective glasses. Doesn't get any worse!

Website is faulty! Do not use this online retailer.
Website would not process my online order and kept giving a 'cannot process your transaction at this time' error message, all the while charging my credit card every time I made an attempt. Only discovered this after my account had been charged 5 TIMES. Finally had to place an order over the phone, and was not told one pair of glasses would be on back order until I received an invoice days later. All in all, this was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Do not use this online retailer, go somewhere else to purchase your Maui Jims. Absolutely love their product, but their website and customer service are TERRIBLE!

Terrible and their retailer disgusting
Bought just a couple of days ago Maui Jim Peahi for $300.from BrightEyes Mt Gravatt
I had to return them as their was a fault with the polarization in the lens, turned objects pink distorted various objects. Retailer admitted there was a fault but refused to exchange.
This is after only a few days not even a week.
Retailer said they have to send to manufacturer to resolve - what rubbish.
Where is the helping a once happy customer besides making them now an very unhappy one.
It is the retailer responsibility to replace or refund faulty goo...
I PURCHASED A PAIR OF MAUI JIM SUNGLASSES. However i didnt wear them as i was reluctant to put them on as they were very annoying. They seemed to be bent on one side so i rang the store a few times, as found it hard to return to the store because of work commitment. I explained to them that i have only worn the sunglasses 3 to 4 times as they felt uncomfortable and so therefore i wasnt wearing the sunglasses . I was so dissapointed with their responce as they were basicall calling me a liar and saying that they would not have left the store (t...he sunglasses) in that condition, as they throughly inspect them when you buy . The issue i have is that when buying from this store you are buying very expensive sunglasses that numerous other people have tried on and technically these are not brand new , they become demo models. Keep in minds when you have an issue for some unknown reason who ever you speak to when returing to the store, somehow they know exactly what happened and they were not even there - diffused responsibility i would say. when you pay for new sunglasses (that are just under $ 500) you expect to get sunglasses of high quality and sunglasses that you will be able to wear every day should you choose to. I am very dissapointed with the customer service and appauled at their accusations, as you can visibly see that the sunglasses have hardly been out of the case . I was told by the sales person that this pair of sunglasses can bend very easy so she would offer to try and bend them back in shape. So why do you have numerous people trying them on, and then sell them on as new sunglasses?. I am bringing this to your attention because i think you really need to know. As a consumer we are putting all our trust in the sales person that makes the sale, hoping that she is on her game that day and not distracted, or very busy, to give us a product that is fit for the purpose it was sold.
