Poor details for the expensive price
I bought over $400 each for two pairs (meant to buy two colours but seller sent wrong one). Both pairs have same problems as shown on the pictures: nose support keep coming off. Sometimes don't even know when and where it lost, so have to wear it outside with two different nose support. Same times the legs coming off as its loose touch (don't know the point not having it locked in). Although the repair centre could be reached and can send the nose support for free however its time wasting and annoying have to go through the process for something could be made better quality.
Cheap Packaging Disappointing
I ordered yet another pair of Maui Jim Ho'okipa's after my 11 month old puppy got hold of my fourth pair (!) I've owned Ho'okipa's for years and must have had about 8 pairs. They are lightweight, don't slip, great lenses and look great. This time though I was really disappointed with the packaging. The black flimsy case (made of lightweight cardboard with black fabricate over it (no catch just magnet) and a cheap nasty microfibre cloth to clean them. When I pay $249 for a pair of sunglasses I expect the case and cloth to be of a certain qua...lity. Not sure what's going on with Maui Jim of late, but it looks like the Chinese have taken over the processing/manufacturing. The previous cases and microfibre cloths have been made of quality materials but not this time. The glasses are plastic as it is and clearly not worth $249, they are probably made for about $10, the rest goes into advertising/profit. My comments for the company are pick up your game Maui Jim, when paying a considerable amount for the sunglasses, don't make them look cheap and nasty by providing substandard accessories.
