Very good, but disappointing user manual
EDIT, please read all the way through for an updated happy ending.
I originally bought a Zodiac CX35 online and was so excited to use it for the first time. Found I was happy enough until it broke within 7 days.. got an error code and it refused to move. Sent it back for a refund.
This time around I wanted to do a little more research before buying something and all roads pointed toward the Dolphin because it was tough, dependable, had finer filters and was nav intelligent apparently. First thing I noted was that it has two filter canisters n...ot just one! Where no one ever actually mentioned online whatsoever so that was a complete surprise. Also has two types of changeable filters, one I'm guessing 100 micron and a finer type. Very cool. The Zodiac only had a 200 micron (or pay an additional $80 for 100 micron) where silt would blow through back into suspension clouding up the pool. The other thing I noticed was the Zodiac impeller was actually right in the middle of the filter basket, suspect to damage ... whereas the Dolphins is independent and won't be damaged by debris spinning through filtration. (Dolphin impeller after all filtration has been completed, Zodiac right in the centre of the filters) It's definitely built tougher, which is good and seems to do a decent job of navigating the pool. I do notice it climbs the walls in the same three or four spots and can't quite make it up the steeper starting corner slopes where none of the rollers or tracks make forward contact but no robotic cleaners would. (fwiw I have a fibreglass pool and bought the WB model with foam rollers). It doesn't seem to get to the waterline much after the first few minutes, as soon as there's a little bit of matter inside the filters it stops climbing and slips as it tries to climb up before reversing back down with even the 100 micron filter installed, and I mean miniscule amount of debris in the filters (I thoroughly clean these each time), it just seems to become too heavy but so did the Zodiac as well, maybe all robotics do this? I've tried adjusting the float positions but it hasn't seemed to make a difference at all. Is it possible because my fibreglass pool is sprayed blue the shop should have sold me the CB model? In the manual it states: WB for tile and ceramics, online states also fibreglass so who knows It does pick up everything, but only if I sweep the silt down to bottom off the higher ledges. It does knock some down on it's descent if it can climb the particular area which I can tell was cleverly and purposely designed. It leaves a few small piles of silt on some of the curves/corners and stairs where my pool is strange and street shaped but I can live with that, no robot would be able to get that, it's only very small amounts.

Great cleaner with easy to empty filters!
I have a large 80,000 litre Pebble Crete pool and it cleans it perfectly every time. I put it in once every week or two as required. The cartridge type filters are easy to remove and clean.

After dealing with pool cleaners and the like which was a rip off and stressful, I finally bought a Dolphin. It is a revolution in pool maintenance ... just magic and has made owning a pool a pleasure.

Fantastic pool cleaner
This is my second robotic pool cleaner after using a number of suction hose type pool cleaners over the last 20 years of pool ownership. My very first robotic cleaner was superior to the suction hose cleaners that I’d previously used but it didn’t always clean up the fine silt that sometimes settled at the bottom of my pool. This previous model also had other shortcomings in that the cable badly twisted and the baskets were clunky to remove, clean and replace. Anyway after several years of loyal service it died. (I was kind of relieved). After ...lots of research and the offer of a free trial I settled on a Maytronics S200 pool cleaner and was immediately impressed from the get go. On its very first use it charged through the silt and other random leaf litter in my very large pool and sucked everything up. It did the same along the walls and after a couple of runs, lasting about 2-3 hours each cycle, it cleaned the entire pool surface including the ledges and steps. It is also very easy to clean the unit afterwards as the basket lifts out using its folding handle and the fine mesh holds all of the silt and micro debris as I walk to the tap to give it a rinse. In summary, I highly recommend this product. It wasn’t cheap and I was tempted at time of purchase to explore less expensive products but glad I resisted to avoid anything inferior to my S200. I can’t remember when I last used a pool scoop to clean my pool and my new S200 robotic cleaner has certainly made my pool maintenance a lot easier. (I do not have any association in any way with Maytronics or pool retail or associated industry. I offer my comments in good faith to assist anyone contemplating the purchase of a good robotic pool cleaner).

Awesome cleaner, great service from maytronics
contacted Maytronics for a demo of the m400 and i was contacted almost immediately by a local dealer who arranged to come around with the unit and give it a run in my pool. The agent from the pool shop was able to answer all my questions which ultimately lead to me purchasing the M400.
The M400 does an excellent job of cleaning fine debris from my pool, i don't really have a problem with leaves. Seeing as i've got a cartridge pool, having the M400 frees up my skimmer box to just filter the top of the water. I'm also able to save power by running my pool pump on the eco setting.
All in all, great purchase, should have picked one up ages ago.

Questions & Answers
Hi i have a new m400 wb, thru the app can you tell robot to concentrate on the walls cheers steve
Hello Steve. Thank you for reaching out.
Within the My Dolphin Plus application there are are options to set the Dolphin to Regular Mode, Floor Only and Ultra Clean cleaning modes. These modes do not have the option to solely focus on the walls however, if the walls are manually brushed down, the Dolphin should collect anything on the pool floor.
My new M400 climbs walls fine but doesn’t run along the waterline, it just stays where it surfaces, cleans that bit before then reversing back down the wall to the pool floor ! I’ve tried adjusting / locking the handle so it stays at right angle to Dolphin but it doesn’t seem to actually lock in place. Thanks in advance for any help :-)
Hello David. Thank you for reaching out. If the handle is in the main position, the Dolphin will clean that straight up and down area of the wall and waterline. However, if the handle is adjusted to be on either angle, the Dolphin will them assume that angle when it reaches the waterline. If the handle does not appear to lock into place, Maytronics recommends to ask the store of purchase for assistance in securing the desired angle. Please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team on 1300 693 657 option 2 for any further assistance.
Can anyone tell me what the different positions of the handle?
What position does the handle have to be to up the walls?
Thanks any help would be appreciated
Carolyn. if you offset the floats (handle) so they are at an angle (left slant or right slant), the unit will go sideways on the surface against the tiles. if they are aligned the unit just stays vertical.
Hi Carolyn, Shane is correct. When changing the direction of the handle, the robot will take this direction, especially when cleaning at waterline level.
Hi, thanks for that
Do you know if there is any written documentation that shows the different positions of the handle and what it achieves?
