Economical, easy to drive, no major issues – I use my car for daily commuting to work and outings on the weekend. Usually short trips to the shops etc. I have a 3 year old son who has a car seat in the rear. I have had the car serviced once since I purchased in early 2020 (purchased second hand from a private owner). The car has had mechanical fault; something to do with petrol valves, cost… Read more

me close to $1000 to be repaired. For the price I paid ($20,000) it is excellent value. The upkeep on the car, servicing and fuel economy is excellent. The power is OK (decent for the price). Steering and driving is great, the car is quiet, Bluetooth and connected apps work well.

What I love about my 2017 Mazda CX-3: Easy to park, rear vision camera is great quality, dash-screen for apps is great, I can pay to upgrade the dash to have apple car-play which I will do through Mazda for $500, roof racks are sleek, sporty looks.

What I don't love: Space in the rear seats is limited (very tight if you had 3 kids in there). The boot doesn't hold a lot, its almost deceiving, it looks reasonable sized but with my handbag, sons daycare bag and a jumper not much else fits in! (If I had a pram nothing else would fir in the boot!). A few plastic parts have broken (The plastic attachment for the parcel shelf on both sides broke, as did one of the connectors on the engine cover when a mechanic was servicing).

If you are a single/couple without kids and looking for an affordable zip around town kind of car I would 100% recommend. (If you are a family and likely to do long trip this car is maybe too small).

Good petrol consumption – I had this car for almost 3 years now and not a problem so far. I would probably choose a 4WD than a FWD as I’ve noticed the power isn’t that great when driving up even on small steep Show details

Mazda CX-3 issues – Purchased the car about 2 and a half years ago. The car is good to drive with good steering and power. There is a lot of road noise, especially at higher speeds. The issue is the air conditioning system has had 2 major failures. In the process of getting the air con system replaced under warranty again. Getting stuck with no air con in the middle of summer is not good, I expected better reliability from a Mazda.  Show details

I just love it!! – I absolutely love my Mazda CX-3 from the moment I seen it at the dealer I just wanted it. Going from a Mazda 323 1997 Model it was such a big difference. It drives great the petrol lasts me a long time just depends on where you go with it. Such a great family car the only thing is the boot space would of loved if it had more room. Strange going… Read more

from using a key to start my car to pressing the start button. I purchased it in Metallic red. These enough leg room in the car. When you first start the car in the morning just a little noisy as most cars are. Easy to drive very comfortable car. Love the reverse camera because I never use to reverse park but now I do thanks to that. I've always gone with Mazda's their just great cars and I wouldn't change to another make.

Big on the outside but tiny inside – Pros: Mazda CX3 is very intelligent looking car. We have the red and it that looks makes it expensive looking car. Very fuel effecient. Built in gps is a plus but at first I find it weird for it on the top middle of the dashboard but get used to it. Cruise control is a plus too. Cons: The interior seems so tiny. The boot of the car is smaller than the Honda Jazz. Back seats feel very cramped.  Show details

Soul Red Paint problems – Lovely car to drive, handles fine. Not a fan of the istop though. Small interior, but was the size I wanted, as I previously had a Mazda 2. Does not seem to use any more fuel than the Mazda 2. Soul Red paint gets stone-chips right through the paint, very frequently. My car had done less than 5000km before I noticed the problem. I have since… Read more

had 6 stone chips repaired and the car is only 12 months old. In over 35 years of driving, I have never had stone chips go entirely through the paint. It is costing a lot to be repaired, and the car is not going to look good when I want to sell it. I have had 2 spray-painters do the repairs, and both say it is a common problem with Soul REd
