No star at all the worse rental property agent I’ve ever had in my life
The house has been cleaned, paid for carpet cleaning plus pest control. I had little to no refund at the end. Stay away from this people. Stay with other company as they are more helpful and deal with you fairly

Wooorst experience ever
James Moss tried to sell my house for $100k under market price and puts all sorts of pressure on me and my wife.
Although we've lost few thousand dollars for listing through them but we went with Ray White, who sold the house in just 2 weeks for the right market price.
We are so glad we made the best choice to ditch Mcgrath and saved $100k.
Mcgrath never has any interest for anyone besides themselves.

unprofessional!!!
mcgrath albury called me out of the blue and offered me a sweet deal to transfer management of my rental units to their office. it went well for the last few years but then in the last 6 months went terribly pear shaped. They rented the property out to a tenant that only worked part time (18 hours a fortnight) and then lost her job so she decided she didnt have to pay rent. I asked the property manager how she was following this up as rent owing was getting further and further behind and all I got were excuses. I asked for the rental applicatio...
Read moren as this was not originally forwarded to me as that what mcgrath property management are supposed to do - manage the property and assess rental applications. I was shocked on viewing it. tenant had no rental history, decent references or any hope of paying the rent. their property manager natasha would never talk to me on the phone. everything was email and frustrating because she never answered my queries so I had to send multiple emails to understand and address the problem. I advised the principal philip bell that I could not deal with her and wanted another property manager I could deal with. he said he would look into it and never appointed another property manager. then repairs became necessary - blocked drain twice in a few months...I asked why and eventually was advised that a tennis ball was the reason for the blockage the second time....repair costs were starting to be a bit expensive for what the jobs were. I queried this. An NCAT application was made. All I wanted to know was my rental situation as by then tenant was not paying, and I still have my loan to repay. Ha Ha...Mcgrath emailed me and said they would not manage the property anymore. A mess they created because they allowed an unsuitable tenant into the property. Bad luck to me. The situation they created was too hard. they simply refused to manage the property and I on short notice was forced to find another agent or attend to this mess myself. I live interstate. How can Mcgrath do this? I am in a total mess because of their incompetent property management. I will never ever use them again for any services whatsoever. Ha Ha that includes all Mcgrath in the entire franchise because they allow agents in their franchise to treat customers like this. Despicable. What a franchise to allow it to happen. To other mcgrath agents - this is what happens when terrible service is offered by one of your brother franchisees. it costs you money too. So disgusted with McGrath. I brought Mitsubishi vehicle in 2017 from John Mcgrath Auto , Queanbeyan . In 2017 , same year I guess they dumped the Mitsubishi dealership ( I didn't knew at the time of buying vehicle ) . I went to service for two years as instructed . I had problem with A/C , then I was informed that they are not dealers and I should go to Mitsubishi dealer .
The vehicle I brought has local dealer warranty extended on top of five year factory or Mitsubishi warranty .
These dealers will sell you something that we don't need , they dump dealership and even...
Rude and unprofessional
On the 5th Dec 2020 my wife and I attended the 2:30 PM viewing for 15 Lucania Street, Currumbin Waters, Qld 4223. Sales agent [name removed] greeted us and took our names. He was friendly, professional and welcoming. [name removed], however, was crappy, unfriendly and arrogant. Thinking he was just having a bad day, I was going to blow it off. But when we got back into the car, my wife mentioned how rude and arrogant [name removed] was to her as well. He acted like he could not give a damn to answer any questions on the house. If your job is to provide a service to the public then at the very least be respectful and professional.

Poor Service for Rentals
We used McGraths Epping and Castle Hill (two separate agents managing the property). We gave the agents two weeks notice prior to moving in, however, we were NEVER provided a copy of the lease until we were made to sign the lease on the day of the key collection which we HAD to sign prior to collecting the keys (which were delayed in delivery by the disorganisation of our agent and failure to provide the lease after being repeatedly asked to do so via email in the two weeks prior). Our leasing agent wasn't even at key collection. Atop this, we were not given the correct keys and had to move furniture from the visitors parking - we moved in on the 25th and are still waiting for an appropriate set of keys on 1/12.

Unfair and Dodgy
McGrath has been the most difficult real estate to work with. They make you put in your highest and best offer not once but twice slowly forcing the hand of buyers to increase their bids in a filthy game. What is the point? They contact you to make you feel like you’ve got a good shot at winning this only to keep encouraging more bidding. If they want an auction go to auction, why are you playing this game behind closed doors.

McGrath Paddington - Bad experience as a buyer!
I was a buyer who made an offer on a property listed with Rueben Packer-Hill. We made the highest offer and Rueben knew that we had pre-approved finance. However, the sellers 'chose' (his words) a slightly lower offer that was subject to sale (of the other buyer's home). Rueben also 'happened' to secure the other buyer's property to sell. It appears that he is the only person to gain from the seller's 'choosing' the other offer. This seems like extremely unethical behavior (he secured two sales at the seller's and my expense). After working wi...
Read moreth Rueben to try and secure the property for over 3 months, he didn't even have the courtesy to call to say the seller had taken the other offer (and explain why). He simply sent me a text message and a sad face emoji. My in-laws who were in real estate for over 20 year were shocked by the situation. They attempted to speak to Charles (the McGrath Office Manager) on a number of occasions. Charles informed them that he could see no problem with the situation. In spite of this, every real estate agent I have told has confirmed that 'you would never advise a client to take a 'subject to sale' over a cash offer' (subject to 14 days finance but with a written letter of pre-approval from our banking institution). I am sure not all McGrath agents would behave in this manner. However, I would never list my property with or buy from McGrath after this experience!Other Real Estate Agents

Worst Agent ever!
Worst agent! Very unprofessional. Won’t give us back our rental bond. They did not even deposited our rental bond to NSW fair trading. Keeps making excuses. Does not communicate properly. And when you talk to the especially the manager to ask for an update, she’s even rude and unaccomodating. They will just get your money. Don’t trust these agent.
Terrible Experience - Hopeless - Unprofessional Agents
Terrible experience. Advertised car space - not to be found. "Fresh paint and new carpet" also wasn't true as the carpet reeks so bad. Noisy neighboring tenants are out of control. Complained to McGrath Agents so many times now and absolutely no solutions to our problems were provided, only the promises, that "yes, we will take care of it" or "yes, the owner will have a look at it". 4 weeks waiting, still nothing has been done. Disapointing, disrespectful, unbelievable... how do they still exist?

Hopeless
I lived in an apartment for over 20 years and then had people move in underneath that made my life a nightmare. They rent through McGrath. I complained so many times and each time they did nothing after promising to follow up. I put up with it for over 12 months - 4 people in a 1 bedroom flat including 2 children under the age of 1. I moved out after 20 years and it's the best decision I ever made. I would never use McGrath to rent or buy from or recommend them. I went past the other day to collect my mail and could hear the noise from the end of the street - nothings changed.

Don’t rent free m McGrath
After over 25 years in the rental market in Sydney, McGrath are the worse agent I have encountered. Final inspection time is where they deny you your rights, give unjustified work to work associates at inflated prices that you get charged for.

Gangsters do not use
Gangsters. They will try to keep your bond. Absolute joke of a company, especially the non educated real estate agents who try to manipulate your words, by only calling and not responding to emails.... because an email would be evidence against their non existent Property and people management skills. Please think carefully before using.
Disgusting people who mock the disabled
The people in this office are horrible. They are cruel to disabled tenants behind their backs, they have a terrible attitude towards their staff and they are arrogant. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy

They suck
So far starters, they accepted me without looking at my application properly and reading that I have a pet. Once they realized that they made a mistake and an animal was on the premises, they made us have to redo all the paperwork and sign a new lease altogether.
The house we moved into has so many problems that weren't mentioned at all in the condition report or told to us. There was brown sludge oozing out of the bathroom floor before we got a plumber, our hot water unit is faulty and only gives us enough for 3 min showers, we have no workin...

Poor real estate conduct Sutherland Shire
Its bad enough as it is in the current situation we are all facing with Covid-19 , with the real estate market suffering , you would think that the real estate agents would want EVERY opportunity to get a buyer through the door of a property on the market. Well , this was definitely not the case of one of the agents at the Sutherland Shire Office. This particular Agent Refused me a site inspection after I asked to view it with my partner a second time telling me that he didn't want to waste MY time as the money bracket this property was in w...

Shame on you , I'm sure you will figure out who you are and if management has any care for their business maybe you can explain WHY you behaved so rudely and disrespectful to a potential buyer . Our tenancy was set up as Direct Debit rental payments. Everything was fine for 3 and a half years then, “someone changed something in our system so your payments were changed from weekly to once every 4 months”
We’ve now been given a Notice to Leave for rent arrears.

Oh! QCAT dismissed the case due to yet another error from McGrath. McGrath Property Management has no idea how to operate. Ripping off tenants and owners alike.

Can anyone tell me if it s legal for the first two weeks rent to be held and not use as rent for the first two weeks. I am renting a flat in Queensland and McGraths have told me it is, they wrote it in the lease and I signed but believe I don’t have to follow the requirements as the 2 weeks are not a legal requirement. Please advise if you know anything about this matter.

The principal at the McGraths behaved like an absolute dictator and I wish I had never signed a lease with this office. Something is really wrong!
