Terrible Customer Service buy a very young staff member
I have always purchased fragrances and candles from Mecca. Being a first time mum, young baby, when i went into store to by myself another Diptyque candle i thought whilst im here ill ask about some eye cream for my tired eyes with bags under them, something to hopefully freshen them up , being awake at all hours not getting enough sleep new mum etc etc, i approached sales staff asked her for recommendations, she had the nerve to look me up and down and say, you know you need to make sure you look after yourself, eat well, excercise and drink l...ots of water, there is no miracle solution to dark circles under the eyes, this may help buy you also need to change your habits! So this young girl, quick to make judgements, has no idea about me, she had no right to make such comments. What if i was a cancer patient? had a medical condition? Working in the health profession i have seen many many patients come in with bags and dark circles under their eyes for many reasons . I walked out, pretty much crying, I actually wish i smacked her across the face and told her to grow up and stop assuming things about people. I have never EVER stepped foot in a MECCA Store again! Disgusting rude customer service from staff who think they are better and above and beyond anyone else. This was in mecca in Doncaster Westfield.
A one stop make-up shop
I went to their store at Westfield Parramatta was indeed happy with their service. I needed some make-up items and the beauty specialist explained to me which foundation cream and concealer suited best to my skin tone. She also helped me with a toner for my dry skin as she was patient in answering my queries. The staff are attentive from the time you enter their store and help you with your requirement. I got myself enrolled for a free make-up class held by their beauty lab which was an additional incentive and highly recommend going there. It is worth every dollar you spend.
Excellent Customer Service!
I dropped in to Chermside Mecca store as my daughter and two friends were in there. Jesse was giving them a skin care introduction and talking to them about how to look after their lovely skin. I was so impressed watching this lovely engaging staff member- she was absolutely delightful- so professional, articulate and fun. She also was very down to earth and clearly enjoyed her job and engaging with the public. It stands apart from the norm when you receive such excellent customer service as Jesse displayed effortlessly!!!!! She will go far. Also I bought a product on the spot and will return to purchase the other she introduced me to and gave me a sample.
Beautiful store with friendly staff
I always have a good experience shopping at Mecca. Staff are friendly and informative. They can provide you with accurate product information and make suggestions based on your skin concerns. Staff at Chatswood Chase and Bondi Westfield are most friendly so far.
Terrible customer service management
I have loved shopping at MECCA Cosmetica for a long time now, most of my perfumes and cosmetics are from them, however my latest experience has been horrendous! I was actually told by the customer service manager that being allergic to one of their $270 perfumes was not their problem now as it was outside their policy period, even though the lovely girls at Armadale were the ones to suggest I bring the perfume back after some months. I am now stuck with really expensive perfume that I love but unfortunately cannot use because it leaves me extr...emely sick. Instead of keeping a loyal customer beaming with elation and gratitude they have made me feel terrible, not wanting to return. Management and staff in store at Armadale I give 5 stars! Head office customer service team 0 stars.

Such a variety of product and great loyalty scheme!
The Mecca website is easy to navigate, either by brand of product type (foundation etc). The pricing seems to be inline with what you can buy some of these products for elsewhere, additionally they have a lot of products that you can only get from Mecca in Australia.
I bought a Morphe Palette and Morphe eye brush and am extremely happy with the products and value for money.
Additionally I received a beauty loop box (loyalty club) and a free sample.
Couldn't be happier with the website, product and delivery!
The assistants in store are always so helpful and willing to assist. Samples are something they do not shy away from and should there be any problems with the product, they are always willing to replace or exchange.
Absolutely Disappointed and frustrated !!
Hey I had the absolute worst experience at your store at Chadstone ! I purchased a perfume that I was excited to use. I got home opened the product to find it empty, it had been leaking for ages from the bottle and through the box not to mention it cost me so much money ! Went to one of your stores to get a replacement only to get told that they didn’t have the product and I had to walk to two different stores, while I lost time from my work break! the lady at the entrance was dismissive towards me ! And when i finally got to the till the gir...l serving me was practically inept and had no clue what she was doing, not to mention she laughed at me when I said I wanted a refund or replacement. She asked me multiple times what I wanted to do after I had just explained why I had come to the store and I had also given her my damaged purchase with the receipt? I’m so disappointed and fustrated with my experience that I received from your staff members as well as the quality of your products. She kept on asking me if I wanted a replacement bag when you could clearly see it was damaged from the perfume. She gave me a tester/sample foundation in the lightest shade AND OBVIOUSLY COULD SEE that I’m of a darker skin tone which was utterly disgusting, ignorant and just offensive. I’ve been a fan of your store and now I won’t be.You should have a look at your stores as I have never had such poor customer service before . It’s an absolute joke , especially working in customer service myself !!! She couldn’t even take the initiative to replace my bag which she could see and feel was soggy or even open the product which made me feel inept. Disgusting is an understatement and I will not be returning.
Good selection of exclusive brands
I shop at Mecca stores regularly online and in store. The instore experience is always positive and the staff are friendly and approachable. They offer suggestions and also introduce me to new products. The products might seem expensive but that's because they are exclusive to Mecca. They also have a fantastic loyalty program.
Friendly staff. Wide range of products.
Went in to the Macquarie store today and was met with friendly staff who offered assistance straight away. They have a wide range of products and although expensive, they look like they will last a long time. A little bit disappointed in the increase price of the better than sex too faced mascara but otherwise it was a lovely experience and i will definitely be coming back!
I was in the store today - they didn’t have any in stock so I ordered a palette online then Mecca provided me a refund instantly without explanation. What terrible service!
I went to the Burnside Mecca Maxima on Saturday afternoon, 20th July 2019. I asked for a silicone based primer for liquid foundation. The girl recommended me the Mecca smoothing primer which, as it turns out, is WATER BASED and for POWDER foundation. Not so surprisingly, the primer doesn't work. Nor does the finishing spray... I called up to explain the faulty advice, and Mecca will offer me store credit but not a refund, despite the trust I placed in their staff's advice. I no longer trust Mecca as a makeup provider and will shop elsewhere.
Way too expensive and greedy
Have you noticed how often Mecca have sales? Once-twice a year? And what items do they exactly put on their sales? Usually it is up to 2 pages of products, where 60% of them are sold out in a first hour! Can't you put/stock more items or what?! Is it that hard?!
Ok, now to the expensive part for regular priced items, have you ever tried to compare mecca's prices with prices on american stores? Ie, Beauty Bay have stilla pallets exactly the same ones that mecca here does, and you know what? They are $15-20 dollars cheaper, without any discount...!!!! And furthermore, Beauty Bay actually does put their makeup on sale pretty often! You can also go and compare Mecca prices with other online retailers (those ones that they did not yet forbid!! to deliver to AUS). This is ridiculous, I have stopped shopping @Mecca long time ago (Sephora AUS as well). Not worth it at all and the fact that they are not doing and not planning to do anything about that is absolutely absurd. How can they ever compete with the other online retailers?! Oh yeah, they simply forbid them to ship to AUS, that's right! How people are still buying their beauty products there and giving them 5 stars? I just don't understand... If you are happy with the way they are treating aussie customers, then go ahead. I am done with it.
I visited the Chermside store and was greeted (with a smile) by a lovely lady at front of store. She assessed my needs and advised me to proceed further into the store where she would have someone come and look after me. Within seconds, gorgeous Jesse came to assist me. I was looking for a 'brow pencil, crayon or pomade' however I have always had trouble finding the right shade. Jesse was warm, polite and genuine. She took the time to ask me my name while showing me all the options. I settled on the perfect 'crayon pencil' - Finally I have fou...nd the right shade ! Thank you Jesse (and the team at Chermside) for being so professional and polite. I highly recommend this store. Unfortunately Sephora did not offer the same service which felt like a department store however MECCA offered good old fashioned service, personalised and with a smile. Thanks again :)
I walked into the Charlestown Square store and asked to be matched to the correct shade of MAC Studio Fix Foundation. Despite my pink skinned Irish convict roots, the sales assistant looked at my wrist veins and told me I had warm toned skin, so I was matched to shade NC20 (I think). I made the purchase and walked out. Drove 3 hours home (as I was only in Newcastle for the day to get my car fixed), tested the shade and it was waaaay too yellow/orange for my skin tone. I wouldn't have been able to wear it without looking like an oompa loompa lol.... Maybe the girl meant to give me shade NW20, I don't know. As I was too far away to return the bottle for a refund, I had no choice but to flush the $54 spent down the drain. It's self-matching in-store for me from here on in.
Lost me as a customer on beauty loop level3
Used to love Mecca and buy only from them all the time for years. But lately noticed that every time I go in to purchase a staple that I always use, the price on it rises more and more. I used to be a beauty loop level 3 but now I shop at Sephora or else where. If you guys think that by rising a price on something by $3 every month will be left unnoticed by your customers and at the same time not accepting afterpay because your too cool for it is just wrong. I won't be surprised if your business will go down hill in no time with this attitude.
Poor Customer Service
Staff was highly rude and very unhelpful with service, was told to look for the items myself. It appears to be a culture in Mecca organisation, other stores are very similar. With former workers complaining its inherent from upper management.
Like a candy store
I have used there website which I dont always like, as everytime there is a sale I feel they dont have much in stock levels. Id prefer to go into the store and find what I need plus i can try colours first before purchasing. Staff are always helpful.
I love everything about MECCA - their physical and online stores. Always fast deliveries when you buy online, good products and in perfect condition. In store, staff is always helpful and friendly!
Will keep repurchasing forever!
Lovely products delivered quickly
I bought the Mecca Max Desert Queen Eye & Face Palette ($38) when it first came out, along with a Mecca Max Gloss Boss lip gloss ($18). The palette is even more beautiful in person. The lip gloss is sticky but has good staying power. They were shipped quickly after I purchased. No issues here, would definitely purchase again.

Questions & Answers
Does mecca.com.au ship to the USA? If so, what is the shipping cost for a lip gloss item?
I saw some good reviews on Santal 33 and I'm intrigued. I would like to buy this perfume but would like to try it first because I know this is a little bit pricey. Is it possible to send me some samples please? My address is 1[Address Removed]

Is it free to sign up for a loyalty card and when you sign up for one do you get a free bag full of cosmetics?
Hi, Yes it is free to sign up for their 'Beauty loop', but there's no freebies unless you spent a qualifying amount. I have spent enough to get a level 1 and a level 2 goody bag, but you have to go to a store to collect them and they've been out of stock both times so I've missed out! They should allow you to pay for the postage and send it in the mail!
