I ordered online at Mecca as a repeat customer and received an email AFTER the funds had been taken from my account, stating that my transaction had been flagged fraudulent and asking me to send sensitive personal information. Licence, utility bill. No person in their right mind would hand over their credit card details, licence and utility bill via email. Lost a loyal customer. Hello identity theft. No waiting on a refund.

Don’t join their loyalty program because they won’t ever have your reward box in stock even when you show up on the day of the launch. They’ll then tell you to go online and spend $25 to get your gift. SCAM.
They refused to honour my birthday gift voucher then issued me a new one then refused to honour that, definitely a scam I think. I wonder what ACCC will say.
So I went to place an order today, to make sure I got my Beauty Loop Bonus as I was excited to try a serum for the first time. However it wasn’t automatically added to my cart so I opened an online chat with the Mecca staff to find out why.
I was told that basically Mecca had run out of stock of their own product, that there was no replacement, and basically it’s a “first in first served” kind of deal until it all runs out.
I had no idea the program operated that way and now that I do, I think it’s an absolute farce of a “loyalty program” and ...
Read morea disgusting way to treat “loyal” customers who spend hundreds and thousands of dollars over the years. I suspect that every release there are many customers who miss out; I wonder if they all realise that the beauty loop program is the weakest gesture of a reward program out there? If Mecca actually valued their customers and ran out of stock because it is was a popular release, they should be prepared to offer a different product of close to equal value, or even a credit to that value (which goes back into the business anyway and would probably go hand in hand with customers buying other products in the order as well.) At least then the most loyal customers aren't competing with each other for scraps. I am truly disgusted and after many years of being a loyal customer I’m off to support smaller brands and businesses and I’ll be encouraging everyone else I know to do the same. I would rather go through the effort of replacing all my beauty products, than continue to support Mecca.Find out how Mecca Cosmetica compares to other Services

Terrible packaging. Received my order today 30.3.22 and the box is in terrible condition. It’s all peeling on the sides.
Store is great and very easy to navigate!!!!
Packaging now is rubbish now which is a shame. See pics posted below.
-parcel stolen from my front door
-untrustworthy delivery provider who chooses a “safe” location
-company won’t care so recommend reconsidering purchase
-disappointing, careless service

Missed out on my beauty loop box thanks to storeperson's misinformation.
Purchased something at The Glen store on 8th Feb. Couldn't redeem my Beauty Loop Box as they had sold out. Was told they were receiving more and to re-visit the store to collect one. Purchased there again today and now have been told they have sent any leftover Beauty Loop Boxes back to head office. Contacted Customer Care who told me there is nothing they can do.
This response is unsatisfactory. As a level 3 member who spends a significant amount of money at mecca, I would expect better.
Do not trust what you are told in-store.
Be warned. Mecca will ask for your proof of identity (driver’s licence & utility bill) even if you have bought multiple times from them.
Who knows what they can misuse those documents for. Neither is there a secure way to provide these to them. Simply an email with attachments.
And it’s basically holding you hostage. Provide the docs or the order will be cancelled.

Terrible customer service. Especially the girl called Lisa on live chat.
Products have no issues. Live chat customer service can be improved a lot. The girl called Lisa was rude and grumpy. She doesn't even know what I exactly complaining about and what exactly in the email I sent to her manager before she replied: you can go ahead to contact ombudsman as you wish. I am just asking her to ask her manager to reply my email. That is all. It seems like they are having a little friends circle within a company to protect each other from unhappy customers. Not professional at all. Don't get any issues with them. They can only say sorry. That's all! Or the worst you will get Lisa to talk to you.

I have placed a substantial order almost 3 weeks ago. On Mecca's tracking, my parcel arrived at the sorting centre on the same day I placed it. Everything stalled from here and I have been unable to get an answer from Mecca on what the issue is. Exasperated I have now requested the order to be cancelled, and a refund processed - this after a chat query and email query and a phone call to them without resolving my issue. Yesterday I spent over 30 minutes holding on to get through to the customer service centre. The service assistant told me that...
Read more the "transaction would just disappear" when the order is cancelled, but couldn't fathom that I was expecting to see a refund on my card statement. 24 hours later, nothing has happened. And so it goes round and round. It seems like Mecca is happy to take your money, and then have you play chase to figure out what is going on. Zero care and zero accountability. I won't be buying from them online again.- 16 reviews

Ordered from them previously without issue, this time however I paid in full, only to get an email saying my order would not go through unless I provided a picture of licence or passport along with utility proof. Even though I phoned them from the number I have attached to my order, I was told if I didn’t produce sensitive documentation my order would not go through and it would make future orders difficult...I would not be able to shop online. I’m not sure they realise they are a company that sells makeup not a big bank or government entity.

I bought Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Magic Cream and it was sent used! I have sent Mecca three emails and tried calling but gave up at 20 minutes. Not sure how they are still in business if this is how they work. I’m so disappointed

I placed an order on Sept. 8th but it was not delivered to the address provided. I have logged this with Mecca and have been told the courier left the parcel in a public place near the delivery address and therefore you are absolved of any responsibility to resend or refund the cost. I was advised by NSW Fari Trading that the seller is responsible for resolving any issues with Australia Post or the courier company used to deliver the product - not the customer. However to date Mecca have closed my case without delivering my products or providing a refund.
I was banned from their website because I didn’t have the house bills on my name it’s on my husbands name.

has anyone bought the Veldere Radiance + Repair serum? my dermatologist gave me a sample and I'm trying to find where to buy it online, please help
Hi Susie. Mecca doesn’t stock Veldere. You need to buy from Veldere directly online although I think they are out of the serum at the moment.
