I’ve been ordering more from Adore Beauty recently (because c’mon, loads of samples, tim tams, and amazing delivery - plus great benefits on their loyalty system!), but thought I’d go back to Mecca for a couple of products as I love Sunday Riley, plus new Charlotte Tilbury collection - and they’d sent over the beauty loop box email. Only to log in and realise they are unable to send any samples or boxes at this time, plus delivery delays due to demand - and quite a few products out of stock with no delivery date. I had only received my beauty l...
Read moreoop email two days prior. Mecca, step up your game. We’ve had covid and lockdowns for almost two years, you understand the new market reality and demand, this is intensely disappointing and just pushing my entire share of wallet back to Adore Beauty.- Incentivised Review No

I’ve been a long fan of Mecca even before I knew what BL points were.
So couple of things that has changed recently that disappointed me and a lot of my close friends.
- the consistent Nars Orgasm sachet samples. There seems to be no rhyme or rhythm and customers are getting the same left over $2 Nars sachet that isn’t even usable more than one application. Let alone we have over 5 Nars blush palletes with orgasm in them.
- price increases are drastic. A $351 perfume is now $390+ within a matter of 4 weeks?
How is this even rationally allowe...
Read mored during covid ? With stores being closed and Mecca not having to pay their employees, isn’t the price supposed to be the same or lower? - Other competitors consistently give 15-25% discount and sales but Mecca keeps increasing prices monopolising their customers goodwill.- Product Quality

I have made two orders in the last few weeks spending close to $200 each time. The first order I made, I received an email the very next day reminding me not to forget my chance to redeem my beauty loop box expires soon, yet there was no option to add that to my order. Last night I made another order and received an email today stating that I receive a free gift with my next order as it’s my birthday soon. Yet again, there was no option to add this to the order that I made. This is extremely disappointing, get your act together.

My initial impression of this store was favourable. The door greeter was friendly and she referred me to a makeup consultant to match foundation to my skin colour. The makeup consultant was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. We eventually found a shade that suited me and she recommended a particular foundation as being extremely hydrating, assuring me that it wouldn't sit mottled on my skin like the cheaper supermarket foundations. The item cost $97 and I had high expectations for that price. The initial application of the product in store...
Read more seemed promising. I popped back the next day to find a lipstick and the consultant who approached me was unable (or perhaps unwilling) to help me find a shade to suit me. She basically told me to pick out shades that I liked and then I could try them on, but I had just told her that ones which I liked by sight rarely suited my complexion. Clearly it was all too hard for her and she wanted to move on to someone easier so I guess I'll be sticking with my Rimmel lipstick which costs about $8 from Chemist Warehouse. I have been using the $97 foundation all week but the item is no better than the supermarket type which sell for under $20. It certainly doesn't feel as if it has hydration added to the formula. Very disappointed and I will not be returning to this store to purchase anything again.- Product Quality

Just received my order. Colours of lipstick and eyeshadow are not really what was represented colours much darker. Not your fault Mecca. I’m sure you are trying. Be careful when choosing and understand this may happen. Ps. I also purchased blush and am very happy with the colour.

Bought Two Faced extreme lip gloss and definitely doesn’t work. When you first put it on it burns your lips but doesn’t plump them. After a few times it stopped burning all together And not once did I have plump lips . Just do Fillers!

I find things on Mecca are so over priced. They should have discounts like Sephora. They hardly answer the phone in store. However, they do have beautiful products. They really need to allow Australians to have a discount because I’ve purchased a lot of items through other stores like adore beauty and catch of the day for half the price. Will only shop here if I need an item.

Good and bad--but don't count on getting your Beauty Loop Rewards, even if you spend the money...
I've been mostly please with Mecca up until now: the staff are always helpful in store--love that. I'm part of the Beauty Loop program that promises rewards for shopping exclusively with Mecca. For the lower level boxes, I was given one or two successfully--until I got to level three.
Got the email to say the boxes were ready, but was sick and couldn't get into town for a week after that. I would have shopped online, but the colour of lipstick I wanted isn't available online, and the last package was late by at least two days, so I thought it ...
Read morewas worth waiting until I could get in. Which is fine--until you get into store and they don't have any of the boxes left (how can you "sell out" of a bonus you promised to people for loyalty-shopping with you?) The counter girl told me "oh, you can get it online" but when I tried, there was no option for that. Called them, and they told me "we've sold out online"--which again--? how do you sell out of rewards for the people who are spending the most money in your store? I'm really disappointed. I don't love spending heaps of money on cosmetics, but I have rosacea skin and this was the only way to take care of it; by spending a lot on one particular face cream. I figured I might as well get the rest of my cosmetics there since there was a rewards program. Thankfully, I can source the *one* cream I'm not allergic to from elsewhere, and I will happily give my money to people who, even if they don't promise rewards for loyalty, at least won't be lying about it. To recap: Mecca instore staff is great, but I'm not very pleased with the online "service" or the fulfilling of their "rewards" system, which is apparently not catering for all their loyal customers. I recommend going in store for help and samples until you find what you want, but wouldn't recommend them for the long haul once you know what you want. Spend your money elsewhere. (I know some people will read and think "entitled much?" but to get to level 3, you're spending AT LEAST $1200 at Mecca for every counted period (thanks, rosacea!). I think that giving out the rewards they promise is the least they can do)- Product Quality

I walked into the Charlestown Square store and asked to be matched to the correct shade of MAC Studio Fix Foundation. Despite my pink skinned Irish convict roots, the sales assistant looked at my wrist veins and told me I had warm toned skin, so I was matched to shade NC20 (I think). I made the purchase and walked out. Drove 3 hours home (as I was only in Newcastle for the day to get my car fixed), tested the shade and it was waaaay too yellow/orange for my skin tone. I wouldn't have been able to wear it without looking like an oompa loompa lol...
Read more. Maybe the girl meant to give me shade NW20, I don't know. As I was too far away to return the bottle for a refund, I had no choice but to flush the $54 spent down the drain. It's self-matching in-store for me from here on in.- Incentivised Review No

Used to love Mecca and buy only from them all the time for years. But lately noticed that every time I go in to purchase a staple that I always use, the price on it rises more and more. I used to be a beauty loop level 3 but now I shop at Sephora or else where. If you guys think that by rising a price on something by $3 every month will be left unnoticed by your customers and at the same time not accepting afterpay because your too cool for it is just wrong. I won't be surprised if your business will go down hill in no time with this attitude.

Staff was highly rude and very unhelpful with service, was told to look for the items myself. It appears to be a culture in Mecca organisation, other stores are very similar. With former workers complaining its inherent from upper management.

I LOVE everything about this business - their physical and online stores. But I find their Customer Service/online contact system lacking. I spent enough $$'s online to qualify for the 1-2 day express shipping, but in the end the courier company let us all down. But the thing is, I sent an online enquiry (12/05/19) to MECCA about this - and to date (it's now 21/05/19), I still haven't received a word back from them. My delivery, of course arrived the following Monday (even though I received notification from them that I'd get it close of busine...
Read moress Thursday the previous week), but the fact that I received no response or follow up from them is disappointing. I spend hundreds of dollars with MECCA every year because I really do like them; the fact that I keep spending money with them is proof of that - but when they don't deliver (albeit via their contracting courier), and then don't respond to your enquiry, it makes you wonder whether they even care about keeping your business at the end of the day? Not only that, if their chosen courier service is being paid for express service but aren't providing that - isn't that something they would want to take up them for not keeping up their end of the deal?- Product Quality

Went to Chadstone Mecca and received one slight smile. I was clearly looking for something. Store nearly empty more sales assistants than customers, yet no one asked if I needed help. Just walked out and ordered online from another supplier

Wondering how my friend received a $100. Gift card and a tube of sunscreen without contacting your company?
has anyone bought the Veldere Radiance + Repair serum? my dermatologist gave me a sample and I'm trying to find where to buy it online, please help
Hi Susie. Mecca doesn’t stock Veldere. You need to buy from Veldere directly online although I think they are out of the serum at the moment.
