Megabuy is a scam website
I did a Google Search to buy a WD My Book 10TB Hard Drive to match the one I already own. I got several results with Megabuy the lowest cost so I bought the product. I did not realise the Megabuy website had defaulted to a similar but different product. WD Elements 10TB Hard Drive. I received the product, realized it was not what I thought I had bought and contacted Megabuy. They will give me a refund after deducting a 25% restock cost. This is a ripoff. I am not the first person to get caught by this website defaulting to a different product and counting on the customer not to notice the difference. I think Megabuy is deliberately practicing misleading and deceptive conduct. I want to return the product for a full refund.

shocking after sale service
bought a Zebra 2D scanner from these people and within 2 weeks it stopped functioning properly. Zebra referred me back to Megabuy with the issue and all it is, is Zebra want me to try replacing the cable that connects the scanner to the PC. 3 weeks after contacting Megabuy with the problem, they kept asking ridiculous questions and no cable to be seen. The sort of questions they ask: Did the cable come with the scanner? What sort of cable was it? this product came from them and they don't know if the cable came with it or what sort of cable it was.. I will never ever buy anything from these people again.

False advertising
I looked up a second hand Lenovo laptop for a friend on Megabuy.com.au. It had an FHD screen. The page did not state the screen was LCD. The general product description Megabuy copied from Lenovo said it was "Available with 10-point Touch Screen", so I thought the 5 years old laptop with a touch screen was a good buy for $629, so I advised my friend to buy it.
It was delivered to my address. The delivery driver dropped the box outside the door, no knocking, even though I was at home. There was no signature required, though postage insurance wa...
Read mores paid. It turned out the laptop had an LCD screen only. Since we expected a touch screen we asked for a full refund in an email, the request was declined claiming the ad stated "Available with Optional 10-point Touch Screen", but this was a lie, as you can see the "Optional" word was not in the ad. (Luckily I took a screenshot of the ad before writing to them, for the ad was still online when I received the laptop, but they deleted it immediately when they received our email.) The next day over the phone the man called [name removed] claimed the ad never said it had a touch screen (it never said it did not either) and told me many people complained and reported them to Fair Trading in the past, but nothing ever happened because they could legally display the manufacturer's general product info. WARNING! Stay away from Megabuy. No refunds and no customer service. Worst experience ever!!
Received a faulty product which I could not return a day later. HP sent me an authorization letter that the product could be returned. Megabuy let me pay for the shipment myself ($43) and would refund the shipping costs. Guess what? No refund as well! I paid for the printer, the delivery and the return shipment. Their customer service communicates with incomplete names (hence why) and they constantly hide themselves behind HP. First HP has to compensate them before they will compensate me...... Even though I claimed warranty within 24 hours aft...
Read moreer receipt! By far the worst experience ever. They do the uttermost just not to compensate you. They wait until you give up after months so they can keep your money and leave you with nothing. This company smells!!!! Be warned and stay away. Companies like this should not be around because in the end it is simply customer deception and theft! If you have a comparable issue with them please go to the police. Megabuy must be stopped.Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely abysmal service. These guys are straight up thieves. Ordered a PC from the Megabuy website and what was delivered had the wrong processor, drives, and was completely missing the graphics card as advertised.
After hours of back and forward explaining the issue over email with great difficulty, I was told to lodge a returns claim. Days later I have heard nothing back even after following up via email.
A paypal dispute has been launched but I have no hope that this will be resolved satisfactorily. And now I am going without the PC I needed as it's in a box on the floor.
Do not go anywhere near this business, you will be robbed blind.
Advertised monitor was not correct
I purchased a monitor which advertised that it had a HDMI port. I did receive the monitor quickly (within 3 days) but it did not have the HDMI port. I had to pay for the courier to return the monitor (was reimbursed 3 weeks later) then I had to wait over a week for a replacement because it took them that long for the warehouse to check the monitor I returned, which would only take 5 minutes to confirm there was no HDMI port.
We don't take returns
10x easier to walk into umart if I have any issues. Wouldn't recommend unless you are happy to deal with the drama when things go wrong.
Prices are good and the staff say all the right things however they do not follow through with resolving issues. The staff are nice and friendly but ultimately following through with promises is where it matters.
Their choice of Courier is random so you get radical variation from item depending on warehouse.
If you need to do a return they are happy to leave you to fend for yourself while dealing with offshore support that only responds to emails once a week to progress your return.
Terrible returns process
Purchased RAM which arrived faulty, so I then began the return process from hell. Five weeks of trying to get a refund, via multiple unanswered emails and phone calls, I had to result in submitting evidence to PayPal and having them successfully return my funds.
So word to the wise, should you use this company, pay with PayPal, else you'll have more luck getting blood out of a stone should a part be faulty.

>8 Weeks to resolve a DOA Hard Drive. Avoid at all costs!
This store is an absolute joke. Literally the worst computer store I have dealt with in my almost 20 years in the business. They actually have no problem pushing customers away and believe that a 4-6 week wait (actual time ended up being 8 Weeks!) on a DOA HDD is acceptable. It was DEAD ON ARRIVAL!!! I paid $170 for a Hard Drive, that didn't work, and they want me to wait 4-6 weeks while THEY send it back to THEIR supplier. They could've easily just sent me a new hard drive, had a happy and potential return customer. It seems they deliberately ...
Read moreaim to push customers away. After arguing back and forth with the "Returns Manager" about this unacceptable delay in resolving my DOA HDD, I gave in and succumbed to their idiotic returns process. Suffice to say, having submitted my RMA I immediately ordered a replacement drive from a real retailer, Amazon which arrived promptly, and in working order. All that was required was a "Yes sir, we'll send you a replacement immediately and you send back the faulty disk so we can return it to our supplier" rather than make you wait 4-6 weeks, we will sort you out. Instead, they prefer to alienate their customers with this archaic processes for a return of a faulty item, when they are going to have to refund me in the end anyway. They also apparently, and I quote "don’t have the facilities to test the unit so we can use a third party to confirm warrantable fault. Low and behold we choose Seagate as they are obligated to do so as it’s their warranty not ours" The hard drive was clicking!!! I myself ran a full scan on the disk with Seagate's own tools to confirm it was faulty. A "Computer Store" that cannot test components themselves to confirm hardware faults is no "Computer Store" at all. They are simply a drop shipping company, ordering goods from a supplier, and sending directly to the consumer.Find out how Megabuy compares to other Electronics & Computing Shops

Skirting legal obligations
Purchased a set of desktop RAM. Within 6 months one of the sticks had died. Megabuy originally quoted 6 weeks for warranty return, and only for replacement rather than refund.
