Megabuy is datafeeder platform, they never hold stocks, and they put low price to attract you, but if you have a look at their delivery cost, it ended up much more expensive than any other websites. So don't buy from them.

DO NOT BUY FROM: Item in stock not in actual stock
We were looking at an expensive item (tape drive) $3550 and their website said they have it in stock. I called up and confirmed they had it in stock, they even said if there system says it is in stock it is in stock.
So we order it and lo and behold it is not in stock and expected eta is 2 weeks away. They took forever to confirm they would refund our money. They didn't even answer their phone on a Friday, also email communication was extremely slow.
Avoid at all costs and do not buy from.
AVOID: Item not even shipped after a whole week
- Item ordered and processed took 2 days
- 3 times contacting support about where hell my item was as a whole week went by without any confirmation of shipment
- Gave up and cancelled due to poor communication and shipping time

Still waiting on an order from over 2 weeks ago.. after paying for it to be shipped in 1 - 3 days... no explanation offered by megabuy.
Not happy at all.
Recently order the items. received the part is not the one that show on their web. try to call to explain. They even did not want to know that. and not interested to talk at all.

Less than satisfied
Item descriptions are poor and the service received from the staff is also poor. Delivery times are wildly inaccurate. Overall I would not recommend Megabuy.
Prime example of systemic ineptitude - Beware, stay away, use someone else.
The only reason I used them was because they 'were local'. Of course the shop front is merely a facade for drop-shipping. So they say they have it in stock (even though they don't physically have it in stock). So you have to wait for them to order it from the distributor (add a few days) to the order. You can't pick up stock, so have to pay exorbitant shipping costs. Of course then the costs spiral i.e. no longer reflective of the 'buy' price. They also charge a 'Paypal service charge', presumably because customers that pay via Paypay make an e...levated number of complaints due to their questionable business practices. Their notifications are shocking - you get notification that the order is going to be delivered after the first failed attempt has already happened. You can't track the delivery. They seem to use the cheapest delivery service that has the worst delivery flexibility - which is good for them but bad for the consumer. Even as a supplier of last resort, unless it was life or death critical, I would not use them again. The ACCC really needs to put them under a microscope

Poor ordering systems , lack of initial communication and stock level reporting not accurate on orig
They have reached out, apologised and assisted me. They were prompt in refunding me and offered me other options too. They also explained part of the problem was due to the stock/inventory system and suppliers.
I have also provided some advice to improve the user experience in the future which they seem to have taken on board.
If you do need assistance they seem to be quite good in the end. I would still be careful ordering any items in regards to stock levels (make a quick phone call).
I think if they improve their inventory systems and user experience they will be quite good.
Bad customer service experience+ misleading product information
This is the so-called refurbished laptop I bought from their eBay store, I have received a full refund though through Paypal.

The laptop is wholly dusty when I received( It didn't receive proper clean before send out)- The screen has a spot on the lower right corner that brighter than other areas- missing two square covers on the screen bezel- The upper left screen frame is damaged- The rubber mat on battery is missing- The PCI express card cover cannot go back to its original place- There's even paper stuck in USB port.
Apart from these problems,
Called and emailed they told I have to send msg only through eBay, they cannot help since they do not work with the eBay store.
Terrible returns/refund process
TL/DR - if you choose to buy from this company, then use PayPal to pay for it, so that you can use PayPal's chargeback process to get a refund should you need it.
Also, do not believe their "in stock" indications, these seem to have no relationship to reality.

Delayed for 3 months, then asked for more money
After numerous delay excuses for over 3 months, they said they had stock but I needed to pay more to get the item I had already paid for in full. When I asked for the product I had already paid for and waited over 3 months to be sent they canceled the order.

Beware of "Factory Refurbished Lenovo " - the worst returns experience
Received a Factory Refurbished Lenovo Laptop which all happened in a timely manner. While the unit worked it was in very poor condition (the screen actually wobbled it was so loose). You are required to request an RA and that was when I got the first sense things were heading downhill - basically their attitude is you are wrong "we don't ship faulty product". I sent pics and video and received a grudging approval to return the unit which I did with 2 day courier. 2 weeks later I learned I would get a refund - absent was any polite apology for a...ny inconvenience etc. Another week later and the money is still not in the bank and when you ask "please explain why this is the case" you get no reply. The faulty product was unfortunate and an inconvenience but one I could have lived with. The returns department on the other hand, undermined any goodwill I had for the company - the only good thing I can say about them is that they chose not to name the department Customer Care.
Discovered they are a reseller of Shadowprotect desktop backup software. I did a search on their website and purchased what I thought was the product but it was actually the purchase of phone support for the product. All I was given was a key code to access the product, which I never used. It was confusing because the first thing that came up in a search for Shadowprotect Backup software was the similarly titled support for the backup software. even though this was not what I requested.
I explained the problem and asked if I could exchange ...for the backup software, paying any difference. They could have done this easily as there is no physical product to return, simply a key that was never used and could have been allocated to someone else at no cost to them. But they refused so I wasted $90 and got absolutely nothimg of value. Just meaningless numbers.

Stock level lies.
I ordered something which was listed as "5+ in stock". My order was then updated to "Processing" a couple of days later, then "Processed" the next day. Then two days after that I get an email to say the product is on backwards and won't be in stock for another month.
I could have had the products in my hands by now from another supplier if their system hadn't lied about having stock. Running awfully close to bait and switch.
I won't shop here again.

Horrible delivery times. Don't waste your money. Customers are nothing to these ripoff merchants. Order processed 5 days after order. Very poor service.

Ordered a new Apple product - website said there were 5+ in stock. I expected delivery within 1-3 business days, because that's what their website says - forget it! I called customer service who said that they would contact the 'warehouse' to see what the issue was. Waited another 2 days for an answer -- not forthcoming! Contacted customer service again, and they said that they were still waiting for an answer from the warehouse. I asked why he couldn't phone the warehouse to see what the hell was going on and he said that they didn't have...phones at the warehouse - please!!! Ironically, the purchase price of the item was debited to my credit card the day of purchase - go figure! Next phone calls will be to the ACCC and the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.
Shipping charges, credit card charges and postage "insurance"?
Ahah these guys want to charge me a 2% charge on top of their already large 2.5% credit card surcharge just to cover my purchase against their delivery company destroying the package. That there says it all, I'll pay a bit extra somewhere else. Thankfully after reading the reviews here I'm avoiding this place like the plague.
The worst customer service in the business
If you go beyond the cheap price (maybe it saves you $10 her or there) and look at what happens should there be an issue, I would definitely reconsider using megabuy. I received an HDD that was DOA, and it took 10 days to raise a return claim. ie. 10 days before the online form I filled in was even processed by a person. The request for an RA number was then accepted in a few more days, and I couriered back the faulty device in a day. I have been now waiting for another 10 days for a replacement to arrive.
