MegaBuy should be avoided
Contacted there sales department and ask them to process the order over the telephone so that I could be assured it would be delivered on a specific day. The fellow said to just order it online and if done by 2pm it will be shipped the next morning.
I also checked stock and the printer was in stock (I was told). I order the unit at 12 Noon. The credit card payment was accepted and an email sent saying it was being processed.
The printer did not show up and this caused a lot of issues for us. I was told I missed the 2 pm cut off time (I or...dered it at 12 noon). What they did not mention is that they look at the orders late in the day so they would be impossible to meet their deadline. Then I was told it was not in stock even initially i was told it was. My calls were shrugged off.

Fictional stock figures (they don't have stock) and onerous "id verification process"
Ordered something (as other commenters have noted "5 of these items in stock" on their site), paid and then received their onerous "online verification" requirements pasted in below (which probably breach several privacy requirements and you can bet aren't stored in any kind of secure way). Wasted about 30 minutes completing their completely arbitrary verification process and only then 2 days later did they tell me "the item wasn't in stock". Avoid. Misleading and deceptive conduct on the 'in stock' listings and if they aren't on the ACCC's hit...list they should be. "Dear xxxxxx, Thankyou very much for your order, Due to the high incidences of Credit Card Fraud involving IT products we require the following for verification purposes before we can accept your order. Reconsider using megabuy
Here I am, ten days after placing my order, waiting for it to arrive. I have no idea when I will get my order. I have no idea IF I will get my order.
Their page says the item was in stock. It still says it is in stock. It said that the estimated delivery time was 1-3 days. It still says this.
I ordered some computer cables from them. Price? Around $12. How much was postage? Around $16. Yep, $16 postage for some small cables. More than the price of the item itself. Why did I pay so much for postage? Because I needed the cables within the 1-3 d...
Better retailers elsewhere
Be careful with what you buy as a mistake in understanding a products complexity may end up costing you an arm n leg. This was my experience and i wont buy from them again.
Deceitful/Frustrating business practices
Made a $700 order to replace parts of my computer. Website gives different methods to pay with no mention that if you select any method which is not a bank transfer they will withhold your order until you respond from a paid or work email account. I understand the steps necessary for an online retailer to protect themselves from fraud, pity MegaBuy don't understand how important full disclosure is to the customer. Best part? Cant even cancel the order 'till i go back to work next week.
Don't buy their refurbished products
Bought a refurbished MacBook Air. Waited over 2 weeks. They ended up sending me a unit that had scratches to the top and bottom casing and also the screen. The letters had worn of a couple of the keys. This was for a little girl who had saved up all her money for this and it damn near broke her heart. Refurbished my eye! Second hand and poorly treated would have been a better description. I got a 'sorry, send it back and we will take a look'. How about taking a look before you sent it? No one there gives a hoot.
Contacted megabuy by phone to confirm stock availability, placed order 5 mins later online. Money charged to credit card immediately, rang following day to confirm dispatch, assured an email confirming tracking number. Two business days later laptop still not dispatch No response or attempt to amend the situation. Cancelled order and buying elsewhere. So much for trying to support QLD business.
Took money didn't have stock - didn't care.
ordered from them as they were only supplier saying they had in stock. the took money and didn't advise they didn't have it. when nothing arrived i chased them and they said oh yeah we dont have it.. stay way,
Worst returns system
Bought a PC from here for a valued client, when it arrived it was a 2nd hand PC, called and they had said they forgot to update website and mark it as re-furbished. Then to return it and order a new one for client I was made to email through and wait for a response (phone team can't handle returns). So now I have my client waiting and my cashflow out. Thanks Megabuy! I would give a 0 star if possible.
Don't waste your time-avoid this mob
I bought a reconditioned mac which was configured improperly and didn't have any wi-fi capacity.
I contacted them and they said I couldn't talk to anybody because "they don't have a phone in the warehouse".
Sent me an e-mail return procedure which was accepted and had no reply regarding credit card credit.
Had to re-email them to get any info, still waiting for a reply.
Ranks as a amateur mob as far as I can see. Spent five hours on this boggy purchase.
Won't ever use them again.
To stop people like this we must report them to ACCC, The criminal mastermind behind this is "[Name Removed]" doing YE OLDE "say we have stock then buy from dropshipper"... so frustrating and to think i was helping a real brick and mortar store in brisbane.... nope just a fake dropshipping store that lie about stock levels and lie about shipping times to steal the sale!

Difficult warranty process ...buyer beware.
Had a problem with a Z623 audio system and contacted Megabuy in Brisbane to make a warranty claim (place of purchase). Told I would have to contact the manufacturer or send it to their warranty dept in its original box to NSW , and cost of courier, etc. was my expense and was not to exceed their original courier costs to me in Brisbane. Was not happy about this arrangement and decided to contact the manufacturer (Logitech) who said they would replace it and just to email my purchase details, etc. One week later after not hearing anything from...Logitech I sent an email asking for information on the replacement but received no reply. I again rang Logitech and was advised by them they would not replace it unless I destroyed the faulty item first , and then send a picture to them proving i had destroyed it , only then would they send another in about a week or so. This whole process I feel is not supportive of the customer and I certainly don't trust destroying my faulty appliance first, and then waiting on their good will to replace it , as these people tend to say one thing , but do another. I think MEGABUY and LOGITECH are just as dodgy as each other in their business practices and i certainly would not recommend either .
I had a situation with Megabuy online where I erroneously made a purchase for a product I did not want. I immediately called their customer services within five minutes of making the transaction, and asked them not to process the charge. They explained that although my card had not been charged yet, they would have to charge my card, and there was nothing they could do. There is always something you can do.
It was further explained to me that I would incur a credit card processing fee, and they would then refund the amount to my card, minu...s this fee. I explained I was dissatisfied with this, but I was again told there was nothing they could do about it. Following this, I emailed several times regarding the refund, which was still not processed fifteen days later. I engaged my credit card issuing bank to process a disputed charge for the amount charged by Megabuy. When you run a business, surely one of your main aims is to provide good customer service for repeat business, and then also to spread good word about your business from satisfied customers. Well, Megabuy seem to want to do the opposite, so here is my feedback.
Not worth the cheap price when things go wrong - Stay Away
My company purchased 4 monitors from Megabuy Online (on delivery we discovered that they're shipping directly from another supplier) and two of the units arrived in less than perfect condition. One is a faulty display and the other is a warped bezel. Upon logging an RMA request the Monday following receiving the units, we heard nothing till the next Monday.
Their response was as follows: Dell monitors and other brands/printers in general need to go back to the manufacturer for service. Please contact Dell and see how you go.
In Australia...it is against the Law as stipulated by the ACCC that "The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer.". After advising them of this fact they then spent the next week denying that they had refused service all the while not making any attempt to resolve the RMA request. Their excuse, following an apparent back peddle on the "not our problem, go talk to Dell" was that they needed to have the manufacturer troubleshoot the issue, as they lacked the technical knowledge to do so, before they could proceed. Potentially a fact that they should disclose before dismissing a claim and fobbing the customer off to the manufacturer (which is illegal). Although I'm unsure as to what technical knowledge is required to troubleshoot a warped bezel. So I am now three weeks into the process with one dead monitor and one with a bezel separated from the left hand side of the panel. In my professional opinion, it is when things go wrong that a company has the opportunity to shine, Megabuy has repeatedly dropped the ball on this one and when given the repeated chanceto make good on it, doubled down. On the upside, Dell, being under no obligation to replace these units has provided stellar service and I would wholly recommend dealing with them. They have been brilliant, in stark contrast to Megabuy.

Do not buy from this store
Bought a Synology DS215J NAS Drive with two 4tb hard drives bundle. Tried setting up the NAS drive and it wouldn't load the software nor would it recognise the drives. Tried returning for a refund but was told I had to go to Synology support first. Synology support were hopeless and all done over email. Finally agreed to a return of the product for testing so sent the whole bundle (because that's what we bought) back and was told I shouldn't have sent the drives so they return them to us. They replaced the Synology box as when tested by th...em it didn't work properly. The 2nd box had the same problem. We then asked for a refund. Megabuy then tried to blame us as not being able to use it - my husband is in IT, I have been in IT and a friend of ours who is IT savvy and has a similar Synology NAS couldn't work it - we are not novices when it comes to IT. They then said they would refund the Synology box but the drives (because there was apparently nothing wrong with them) would be refunded less a 25% restocking fee. Really??? We bought a NAS bundle (i.e. both NAS box and 2 hard disks together because that's what it was sold as) and it didn't work as it should have. Not our fault they didn't test the drives with the NAS box when we first returned the bundle (at our own cost mind you $34!). Then they asked us to send it to two different places which would mean we would incur two further courier and packaging costs. Not on - went to Fair Trading and found under Australian Consumer Law if a product doesn't work the way it is meant to then a refund and/or exchange is required. Tried that with them and they finally agreed for us to return the product to one place still with the restocking fee!! Thank goodness for Paypal! Lodged a complaint through them and they refunded us the money straight away. Megabuy had to then send a courier at their own cost to collect the goods which, of course, they did very quickly. Funny if it's not their problem it takes almost two months to resolve but as soon as it was their problem it took one day to get a response and a return courier. This company might be good if you get a product that is working but if anything goes wrong they will not speak to you they will only converse using Email. Very frustrating and unsatisfactory. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS! Far too risky!
Bought a RAID system for data storage. Spent $1200 and after 3 years it just died. I rang and they shrugged their shoulders and offered zero help. Won't buy anything here again

Extremely poor service - packaging is just a joke - never again
I ordered a WD RED drive for my NAS from MegaBuy. It arrived 10 days later packaged in a courier envelope that I could feel the metal of the drive through! Western Digital say on their website "Any drives returned to us in an envelope will immediacy render all warrantys void" - clearly WD don't think this is acceptable!
I emailed and phoned about the issue - their response was "That's how we always package them" and "We will get back to you sometime this week". This is just not good enough. Never again!
Absolutely terrible customer service. Huge delays. Product didn't work. Refused a refund. Replacemen
Returned an item that didn't work. Took 3 weeks for them to acknowledge the return. Fluffed around for a further 2 months, then refused me a refund (that they said they'd give me) & said they'd ent me a replacement. A further 2 weeks later it still hasn't arrived. This is over 3 months after I returned it for a refund!!! These guys are ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. Don't buy from them. They are terrible!!!!!!!!
MEGABUY DOESNT MEASURE UP IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Bought and paid for a new apple computer one week ago. Take your money straight away and then still waiting one week later for delivery when I received an email on the Monday to say it would be delivered within 3 days. Seems like they are not a great business to buy from. Not good enough when you can deal with other companies and you have received your products within two days of placing an order. Order placed last Thursday am still waiting the following week Friday pm and not likely to come this week.
Took my money and did not Receive any item it has been 3 months now DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE !
