Good product - but I still need a FY19-20 tax receipt
I'm happy with the product and the speed of delivery, but I expecting to receive a tax receipt dated 30 June so that I can make a tax return claim in FY 19-20. I haven't received such a receipt. Your website advertised that purchases on 30 June would be receipted within the FY.
Asus Laptop purchase
No issues finding what I needed. Good range to choose from. Quick delivery. Computer as described with no quality issues. One thing to mention is that the parcel was supposed to be signed for and was left on front veranda without signature. Not sure if this is a covid thing with touching and signing, but maybe something that needs to be taken up with courier company about leaving a $700 laptop on someones porch. Thats the only reason I only rated 3 stars for the store. Other than that, no issues and a good experience overall.
Shocking Customer Service, but the story ends well!
I recently purchased a reconditioned Dell laptop from Megabuy. It was a bit of a punt, but the price made it worth while. When I received the laptop 3 days later, I opened the box and was extremely pleased to see it was in brand new condition. My happiness was short lived when I tried to switch it on and I got the message no boot media detected. After a quick Google investigation, I determined that it was likely that Megabuy had just forgotten to install the operating system. This was a bit of a fail from a QC perspective, but not a big issue, ...as I was comfortable I could install the operating system myself. I didn't just want to go ahead and do that, as I didn't want to potentially void the 12 month warranty that came with the machine. I thought it would be a simple conversation with customer service and that would be the issue sorted. This is where the wheels fell off. The customer service team were nothing short of shocking! I've had some bad customer service, but [names removed] from the Megabuy customer service are possibly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. They would only communicate via email and blankly refused to have any engaging conversation with me. They were demanding that I send the entire laptop back to have the software installed. The correspondence back and forth just made me more and more infuriated. This was customer service 101, don't take a happy customer and turn them into an extremely unhappy customer. But this is what Matt and Huw managed to do with outstanding success. Eventually I gave up my fight and was resigned to the fact that I would have to send the machine back to Megabuy, which was going to be a total waste of time and money. I begrudgingly filled out the online returns form, with a last ditch plea, for Megabuy to consider a sensible approach to this issue. . . . . . . And this is where Megabuy turned it around! Well actually it was the Returns Manager at Megabuy that turned it around for the company. He got in touch with me almost straight away, with detailed instructions on how to download the operating system myself, his practical and sensible approach to the problem was outstanding, the issue was rectified within a couple hours and just a couple of emails back and forth. I can't fault the product for price and quality, the Returns Manager was nothing short of outstanding, but [names removed] from customer service were quite a piece of work. Good luck to you if you have to deal with either of these two characters, there certainly isn't any customer service going on there. My advice would be if you are unfortunate enough to have an issue with something purchased from Megabuy, you would be better going straight to the returns team, even if like me you didn't want to return the item, rather that going through the debacle that is the customer service team. I have given Megabuy a rating of 3 stars, which I am conflicted over. If I was rating the customer service clowns alone [names removed], remember their names!) I'd give them a minus 5 starts, but the Returns Manager did such an outstanding job to turn around, what was a furious customer, I have to give them a rating of 3 stars. Had I have gone straight to the Returns Manager, they would definitely have a straight 5 stars. So Megabuy, there is some retraining of your customer service staff required! Quick and easy order process
Quick and easy order process and works well provided nothing goes wrong. In my case, I inadvertently ordered the incorrect item. Tried calling the call center to change order before it shipped but the call center was not open, the recording just said call back during business hours (which I was doing). I sent an email to customer service but by the time I had a response, the order had shipped. The customer service agent was very responsive and offered to take the incorrect item back but as the hassle to do so didn't warrant the value of the item I chose not to return for exchange. My order consisted of 2 consignments, one was delivered in just a day or two. The other was 6 days out of Brisbane which I thought was a bit long.
Good price very slow to ship
Great price, I bought a refurbished Dell Display. The stand is a bit dinged up more than I would of expected, but again, right price!
The biggest issue is it then took 4 days just to ship the item, ordered on the Monday, and then nothing until Thursday when they finally shipped it.
Good pricing and support but delivery delayed
Online ordering and processing is timely. However once the order stated is shipped, there is no further tracking information available online to trace the shipment until I requested. Courier delivery also take too long to deliver.
Great product - shame about the delivery.
The buying experience was great. Good price, great product. Unfortunately it was left on our deck with no one home. Could have been stolen or damaged in the rain, I was just super fortunate.
Judging by the number of good reviews I think mine might be a one-off situation. But anyway, my experience is as follows. I live in the Sunshine Coast and ordered a Dell WD15 dock on Sunday via the online store to be picked up by a friend who travels to Brisbane often. The online store said there were 3 available at their Chermside store. When my friend went on Tuesday, he was told that none of the WD15 models were available and that they have some alternatives they can offer and that I will receive a call from them on how to proceed. My friend...informed them that I will be flying overseas in a week so something had to be done quick. I hadn't received a call by Wednesday evening so I made a quick call and I was told that they don't have any WD15's in stock but that they can offer me a better version - TB16 for the same price because of the error. I went on Saturday to pick the TB16 I was promised and after waiting for about 10 mins while they tried to find the part, I was told that they do not have any TB16's but brought out 2 WD15's out and said I can have any one of the two. I was confused as I was told there were no WD15's and it seems like the WD15's were there all the while. So I had to make an unneccesary special trip to Brisbane to pick up the part my friend could've picked up a few days ago on his way home. I was promised an invoice (amended for the 2nd time - WD15 to TB16 to WD15 again) which I haven't received yet if I need to make a warranty claim. I must say they were polite when talking to me and their prices are reasonable. I will buy from them again but I hope they can sort out their inventory system so that such errors would not happen again.
Good prices just beware the freight costs
Prices are good & so is product line but freight costs blow out if more than one line item is ordered, also if multiple items are ordered freight escalates very quickly - total ends up only being one or two dollars cheaper than other sites.
Great prices, good delivery times, slow invoicing
Online store is great to navigate, search and and find what you need. Prices are great and very compatitaive on most things. The delivery process is either amazing or just ok. Be prepare to wait longer than 3 business days on some items (Wharehouse to Metro Melbourne) so this is communication is average. Invoicing is really slow. Some improvement required there.
Very poor tracking - reasonable delivery
Store was easy to navigate and find the product I wanted at a very competitive price. The product delivered was as advertised. There was only standard shipping offered.
The problem was that although on the Tuesday I placed the order, I got a series of emails up to the point that the Order was "processed", after that all went silent. On the Friday and following Monday I had 6 Chat sessions. The responders all failed to get a proper response from the warehouse as to whether the item had been shipped, other than one saying it was being picked - w...
Just add shipping
The price on the online store should include shipping if there no other option than to add shipping. All prices are are false and misleading.
Massive Fan but disappointed with last experience.
Have always been a massive fan. Recommend to everyone due to excellent prices and services. However I was disappointed with last experience. Buying a lot of toner, monthly orders between $400 and $1000.
Couldn't find a new HP toner on website CF248A. Was told by two different people (one online chat other via email) "if its not on the website" then they don't have it. Asked if they could at least talk to purchasing people to see if they could get it in for us. Wouldn't help at all. Disappointed. Explained that it means we could go elsewhere for toner as we like to get it all from one place and still not interested.

Good products. Fast service, but delivery can be problematic because they use TOLL. Not ideal depending on your situation. Frustrating because the parcel could not be left without a signature. A few phone calls later, I finally got it, but it was a bit frustrating.

Very slow delivery and expensive shipping charges
The shop-'s prices were reasonable, however we were charged 3 shipping charges for the order, but it came in two shipments. The first item was shipped 2 days after placing the order and arrive on the third day, the second shipment took a week to get here.
Easy to order
- Price wise used to be better than this but still reasonable.
- 2 or 3 days after the payment, we can get the deliveries.
- Never experience with the exchange, refund or warranty process so not sure about it.
- Easy to search and find products on the website.
First place I come when I need computer related devices
Being ICT manger at a college, I have bought many products from this store.
Their shipping is slow, but the sales support has been good, and best of all great prices.
Hit and Miss
MegaBuy is sort of a hit and miss retailer, sometimes it works, other times its a nightmare.
The 2.5% credit card surcharge they don't mention until the end of the checkout process was a nice surprise, (so those marginally lower prices are suddenly the same price as other places). The surprise 'although we already debited your credit card, we want to now verify who you are' email was also a highlight of my experience. But at least with one of my orders so far, it arrived as "on-time" as best an order really can via interstate courier, and wa...s well packed and unharmed, although it was a little bit of a battle to get them to give me a tracking number, I don't understand why this process of issuing a con note # isn't automated like everything else on their site. Its also VERY hard to ever just go in and 'Pick Up' a something at MegaBuy, as there is almost never any local stock, at least of any of the products I tend to buy, and if your willing to wait for their processing and shipping process out of Sydney etc, 9 times out of 10 you can find it cheaper on another online retailer with a lower shipping cost, and skip the CC 2.5% and verification headache, or just pay a few dollars extra and buy locally at a walk in store. All that said, there has been one occasion where my local store has had an obscure product in stock and on hand for pickup that I couldn't get anywhere else, and it was a great surprise, just a shame its not like that for more of their product lines. TLDR, Unless its really not available anywhere else, I won't use MegaBuy. The semi-complicated 'find some stock' ordering process, processing time, the 2.5% credit card fee, and cost of shipping on top of everything I order (because nothing is available locally) puts me off using them.
Good pricing for required product, however the 1-3 days estimated shipping started after the 6 days it took them to 'process' the order. Online Chat appears to be offline most of the time and I received no reply to my emails. My suggestion is to look for an online shop that actually holds their own stock, rather than drop shipping 99% of their items.
