Tyres not to code
Do not recommend and will not recommend Melbourne's Cheapest cars to anyone.
We purchased a suv and the service at the time of purchased was great. It was not until we brought the car home, had the car checked by a mechanic and found that the back 2 tyres were not to code. Initially, they tried to say that they were fine but my partner had to insiti that it was checked by a certified mechanic.
The sales person had paper work that was supposed to be emailed the day we paid for the car however this did not come through for days. We then chose n...
Review for Melbourne cheapest cars
Warning to people buying from Melbourne cheapest cars. Be careful if you are using their finance. They do not give you the full information before you sign. After you will find that the car you are going to buy will end up costing you double the amount you bought it for with their high interest and with all the other HIDDEN COSTS that they don't tell you about. Do your homework ask questions and quotes on paper so you can read them as they know how to mumble when they speak to the point that you can miss the most important part of the deal. ...THE FINANCE SIDE OF IT. Having said that We did end up buying the car but not through their finance ,after we signed and we read we realised what was going to happen and we had to fight hard to scrap the contract. Do not drive the car away until you are satisfied and what you thought you were going to pay is just that with no hidden costs..
This is a story about the NDIS and how if you walk in with a disabled child then you get discriminated against. Melbourne's Cheapest Cars probed and probed into our private life to find out about our financial situation that they don't need to know about. Absolutely disgusting. We are protected people fake username provided. The documents we provided are enough to get the car loan. Why would we have a trust from an Accounting Firm that is in the Top BRW Accounting Firms. We chose a car that is only worth $28000 because simply it is $140 p...er week and we want to pay cash to clear it out. Why would I have a trust for $140 per week. Seriously do not ever ever judge a book by its cover and also do not probe into peoples private lives. I asked what you needed before you decided to probe further. Absolutely disgusting. You do not need all that information for a car loan and I said I wanted to ask my accountant but you said no you wanted the sale. Now you are part of a new mini-series and book about how we are protected people and you tried to probe into our private life that is simply private and we wish it to be private. This is discrimination because we choose not to give out our details but you just wanted the quick sale. I will advocate until the cows come home well in this case where everyone wants to be part of our lives and can see we can make money quickly and you can't even give out a simple car loan. Lol. Gold. What comes around goes around.
Poor customer service, ripe off Trade in offers!!!
I have brought cars from these guys in the past and sent others to purchase cars with good customer service and communication,
And good fair change over deals..
Offering half cash and the rest on a loan I thought they would jump at it?
but after Speaking to couple of you guys with poor responses offering 2 grand for trade in for a car that is worth at lest 4 to 5 k trade is in embarrassing!!!
On your site you offer top trade in prices is crap..
I can get 2k minimum trade in with any car!!
Anyway not going to be recommending you guys anymore..
Absolutely terrible never shop there again
Absolutely got ripped off with the price will never shop there ever again. Had new car warranty on the vehicle and they refused to fix my differential problem. Unfortunately [name removed] the mechanic who has his hands tied is the only honest person I dealt with., but the rest are just a flock of seagulls.
February 10th 2019 Update: Melbourne’s Dearest Cars
Sold me an overpriced unroadworthy vehicle then told that they wouldn’t fix the differential problem it had. Told me I was buying one model but sold me another. Will never ever think abo...ut shopping there ever again. Then got a phone call from [name removed] the salesman saying that they read my previous product review and I would be expecting a phone call from the General manager yesterday but guess what NO PHONE CALL is anyone surprised !!
Worst service and definitely not the cheapest
Just be extreme careful when buying any cars from them. The salesperson will say all the cars are looked after well and comes with full service history but once they sell you the car they hardly care about the customer. I bought holden commodore which had 100 issues with it. Really frustrating when you spend good money on the car but you keep taking it back to them to fix it. The car started to play up within a week when i bought. It took nearly a month to fix the issues but still have few troubles with it. Had all issues like start, software issue, power steering, shocker. It wasnt an old car, the car is just 3 years old but just not good enough for the money and time i have spent. Over priced cars.
drove two hours to see a car, hounded by salesman if we were still going, car not even there no apologies, very rude cheapest cars cheapest service. went to brighton honda excellent service treated with the utmost respect.
NOT trust worthy
Zero communications after sales regarding lies on previous accident of car purchased and prevarications/lies about location and supply of the second key, both Operations/warranty Service Manager and salesman [name removed], would never recommend anyone buy a car from these people who display such poor ethics.
I and my partner bought a Jeep from Melbourne's cheapest cars...it was good service and I agreed with that..RACV tested big signs everywhere in that place. We bought car, full of warranty for another years and everything whatever they offered. 4 days later we had a problem with water supplied tank leaking and we called them and get fixed a few days later. Another a week later Light tail was playing up and we had to take a car back to get fixed ... I know it was a major issues. A month later sensory, The GPS, Navigation, and start button probl...em because of old battery started playing up and we rang and explained all the issues. And they said it was not company issues any more. I understandable when I have read the warranty. But only 3 months olds since we bought a car from the Melbourne's cheapest cars. Just warning everyone who is looking to buy a used car from this place. Just needs to be super careful and don't wanted your guys get any issues as we did. Good Luck to all of you. Thank you.
They sell unroadworthy cars and dodge them up to get the sale, buyers beware!
They sell the cars "as is" to get away with it, don't trust them! It will cost you thousands!
Worst service I have ever had!
Don't even know where to start!!!
Brought a 2012 Mazda CX-5 (so not a cheap car!)
Obviously when purchasing a car the salesman is your best friend and will promise you the world! I brought the car on the Sunday, and he requested I come back on the Monday to pick it up, as they needed to get the papers ready, car registered etc. which was perfectly fine! I told them I was in no rush!
I called and emailed twice on the Monday to confirm the car was ready to go, in which I received both phone and email confirmation saying 'yes ready to go'!
Worst Car dealer in Melbourne
I purchased a car on loan from this place and the business manager made me sign all the documents without even confirming the interest rate. Never go to this place.
check the warrenty and service handbook
Recently bought a Subaru from Melbourne Cheapest Car, the scammers did not follow through completing what was expected of them in the car service log book. They should of changed the sparkplugs and changed the air cleaner element. They just did an oil and filter change. Beware check the book and hold them accountable. Will never buy from them again and crap customer service they were not willing to sort this out. Very disappointed with you Melbourne Cheapest Cars.
Great place to buy cars ..

October 5th 2017 Update: Not a good place to buy a car
It’s not been a year, my Holden Cruze 2012 now started giving me problems with engine leaks and all ..there is transmission and engine oil in the coolant, I am sure these guys temporary fixes the cars n sell them .. will never buy from these guys again ...
Terrible after sales service
We purchased a Holden Cruze from this company. The car was in good condition, however a week after purchasing my brother noticed some grinding noises coming from the steering wheel while turning, and one of the door locks didn't lock properly. The alarm indicator light also wasn't working.
So back we went to the service department, we reported these issues to the mechanic. The mechanic said "oh no nothing wrong with the steering wheel, it's normal, nothing wrong with it." He didn't even test this, just blatantly denied that there was a probl...em, and laughed at us as if we didn't know anything about cars and he was a mechanic sent down from the heavens by God him/her/itself. Anyway, we went to an independent mechanic, who confirmed that yes, indeed there was a problem with the steering, in particular the power steering pump, which appeared to be failing. So we took this info back to Melbourne's Crappiest Cars and the mechanic finally tested and agreed that yes there was a problem. However "Not to worry, we'll have this fixed for you soon, just drop off the car at 9am Monday next week and it will be done". So I get up early on Monday, drive all the way to MelCrapCars, and drop the car off. 1 hour later, we receive a text that it's done (that was quick?) so we head back to collect the car. And behold, the super-mechanic had actually forgotten to fix the steering pump, and had only fixed the sticking door lock. Good job Melbourne's Crappiest Cars.
