GLC63s 2018 - Best Car Ever!
I've bought my GLC63s second hand when it was 1 year old. The first thing I noticed is how bad the alcantara steering wheel looked. This leather is very delicate and doesn't look good no matter what you do. Having said that you can restore it and make it look fluffy again if needed, which we did, but it only lasts for couple of months and then start looking worn out once again. The next was the smell in the car - it was terrible and as we realised for most part it came from the Mercedes-native aromatherapy bottle hidden in the glove box. I don'...t know how they select such disgusting smells but all we had to do is throw it away and after that the smell slowly disappeared. Other than that the car had no problems! It's an amazingly fast car, but not uncomfortable-fast. The way this machine works is quite different to other performance cars that I've driven that can be too slow in Comfort mode but a bit too jerky in one of the Performance modes. Surprisingly I never take it off Comfort, as that mode both smooth enough to drive around yet still has tremendous power right under your foot when needed. Of course if you want to imitate the roller-coaster, you can still put the car into Sports or even Race+, but although being fun once in a while, in reality it's completely unnecessary. I remember my RS3 or GLC43, both of which had to be driven in performance, so it makes me smile that this family looking SUV goes better than both of those car combined and all in it's default Comfort mode. The car is extremely versatile. It has a lot of space. Enough to go to Byron from Sydney with a little baby and all the gear including the pram. But we are thinking to upgrade to GLS in the future as we also want to take our two dogs, which are impossible to fit into GLC full of things. Having said that, when we go to the vet, they love spending they time at the back. There is more than enough space for both our Ridgeback and the Beagle. The interior is very comfortable. The only thing to look out for is their plastic performance seats, which can't be adjusted much and besides their sexy looks, don't have much point, and in reality are very uncomfortable. Our car has Comfort seats, and I can't recommend those enough. The lumbar support and the overall comfort are great. The stereo system is second to none - possibly the best sound that I had so far! However my favourite thing about this car is how powerful it feels, and how well this power is connected to the pedal. In all my previous cars, you could notice the turbo leg, but I don't feel it with GLC63s - it really feels like the power is instant in vast majority of situations. Well done to the Mercedes on this one!!
Front wheels crabbing, excess wear on tyres
Bought a new GLC63 last year, after a short time the front wheels started to judder when turning and parking and also driving around roundabouts even at low speed. Its much worse when the tyres are cold or wet.
Complained to the dealership and Mercedes and they said its a normal characteristic of the vehicle. I took my case to NCAT and Mercedes managed to get it dismissed because I took a business lease with MB on the vehicle and NCAT apparently has no jurisdiction because its occasionally used for business use. To make things worse they have ...

Tyre skipping severe
Best car ever is I did not have to turn... Round abouts or tight turns serious tyre skipping. It feels dangerous, very loud and not fun to drive. What should be my dream car is definitely the worse car I have ever driven. Mercedes is try to pass this off as "characteristics of the car", NO Mercedes its called defective. As I said big shame as the rest of the car is really nice...Very sad!
Purchased in June 2019 at Berwick Motor Group.
