Absolutely fantastic – I bought deegan 38 ATs for my 79 series dual cab cruiser about 4 years ago I've done about 60000 km so far and should get over 100000km long distances/ towing /4x4 a brilliant tyre best I've had and will get again if I can Show details
Not too happy Jan! – Bought these and after 50K kms of very conservative road use we went on a trip at Xmas and drove on gravel roads for a day and then highway use again. Side wall of the rear tyre that had just been rotated from the front blew out on the hwy. I guess this can happen to any tyre. overall the Tyres are quiet on the hwy but expensive for what you get.… Read more
I won’t be buying these again. Looking at some Asian made tyres to see how the cheaper ones perform in comparison.
5 Blowouts out of 8 tyres purchased – My Brother was talked into buying these tyres by the local Mickey Thompson dealer. Installed on his Ford Ranger PK they have only ever been used on bitumen and dirt/sandy roads. Over a period of 18 months he had 4 blowouts of which 2x happened on the same Victoria-Queensland trip - once on the way to QLD when I was driving and again on the way… Read more
back. Each time he paid to have a new replacement tyre. Months later I received a phone call from the distributor to let me know that his tyres might have been part of a recall and to bring the car in for inspection of the date stamp as soon as possible. The problem is none of the original tyres were remaining to be able to get a date stamp. The distributor told him that they would look after him when he is due and that he could get Coopers if he doesn't want another set of Mickey Thompsons. well fast forward a couple of months and a fifth tyre has split the sidewall. After speaking with the distributor, they have somewhat gone back on their offer to look after him stating that they would investigate and work out based on how much tread was remaining that there could be a discount on a single tyre and that the prior 4x blowouts they couldn't do anything with as there was no evidence - (Remember, My brother wasn't aware of the recall when he had these 4x blowouts) One big empty promise left a sour taste in his mouth so he ended up buying a whole new set of BFG All Terrains and has three dangerous spares in differing levels of tyre tread remaining. Do yourself a favour and avoid these terrible tyres.
Deegan 38 – Worked great on wet and dry conditions, great on dirt and sand. They held the car very well on road. I got 60K rotated every service. I think I got good value for money considering what I put them through, no flat tyres, they were stuffed at the end. Show details
Worst of the worst – These tyres are by far the most expensive money can buy.i put them on to replace the baja stz which already could no balance properly. These ones all have a flat spot because i perked on flat ground and didn't drive my car for 2 weeks! Apparently to get rid of that flat spot it must be driven enough kilometres to run hot in order to get rid of that… Read more
parking flat! spot.! Are you for real? I hated them so much (and the cost me 440 each) .that i am selling them on gumtree for 1000 for the 5 including a brand new spare. I put on 5 other tyres from another brand and all of a sudden no more balancing issues, no more grip issues ,no more flat spot issues, Mickey Thompson never again.
Shockers! – Haven't had a puncture in years and then in 7000km from new these MT tyres have punctured on gravel roads 3times! I always run correct pressures and don't do any 'real' four wheel driving. My wife's Lancer drives the same roads with no worries. These tyres are rubbish. Show details
Deegan 38 – Awesome tyres. Great balance of mud and all terrain. Pretty quiet on the road and excellent off it. Good grip and mud clearance, spreads well on low psi. Definitely recommend. Show details
Rubbish tyres – These tyres are rubbish, I had 265 / 60 /18's and I will be lucky to get 40000km out of a set and they don't handle continuous rough road driving rocks go straight through them and can't be repaired (has happened to 3). These were great to start with but when the tread starts to wear from about half way they disappear, I did not thrash them and… Read more
drive reasonably sedately, rotate check tyre pressure etc etc and can usually get 60-70000kms out of a set of tyres. Not good for a premium brand tyre do not recommend and will not buy this brand again..
Excellent traction off road – I had a set of 31x10.5R15's fitted for a trip to the Cape & down the CREB couldn't fault them. Excellent traction rocks, water, mud & beach lowest I had to air down was 20psi to handle these. Seems to flex more being the 6 ply radial so handled the corrigations ok too. They are a bit noisy but hey she sounds like a 4WD now! Well priced only… Read more
$240 each & as far as wear only have 6,000kms so seem to be ok so far. The only negative is it must be a little wider as hits mud guard when flexing extreme!
I'll get them again when these wear out.
Rubbish – I put a set of 33x12.5x15 on my courier and they lasted 25,000k with 5,000k rotations. They were really quiet and grippy when I first got them but in the last 5,000 they have become really noisy and all the tread has just disappeared. Definately won’t be buying another set Show details
Great tyres and Quite vs my MTZ – As a Mickey Thompson Fan of there reliable tyres. I Purchased a New Hilux Trd 2017 and did not like the stock tyres and I did not trust them off road. I had them fitted to my Lux and did not know what to think as my last tyres where MTZ on my Patrol. I was very happy of the off road feel and ride ( Very quite tyres for Mickey ). I would recommend these tyres. Show details
Awesome ,,,,Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 – We have had many sets of Mickey Thompson tyres on all our 4x4s over the years,, would now say the Deegan 38 tyres are the best yet, great on road and off road, we can not fault the tyres,, you can air right down on sand and in mud knowing they will not let you down and then air them up when you hit the black top again and they will handle and… Read more

I purchase from Avalon Tyres and they give me a good price for it and excelente customer service I would recommend this tyre for sure just for the diference of drive and safety, get an all terrain don’t think about HT tyres any more for 4x4 it’s rubish and don’t forget you get what you pay at the end it is worth it pay more for a better product especially when taking about safety . I hope this help have a good research and don’t think go with the reviews 5 stars for MT tyres !!
