Best vacuum I’ve ever owned

I had 3 vacuums, a Dyson V8 animal, an EcoVacs OZMO 950, and a Dyson DC23. The DC23 was on its last legs, so I decided after a lot of research to replace it with the CX1 Cat and Dog. Boy am I glad I did, it pulled so much cat hair and dust out of the carpet I was very surprised. The EcoVacs does a good enough job for daily usage, but I now wonder what the two Dyson were doing, wish I’d gone for a Miele earlier. Show details

Absolute nightmare

Bought this vacuum cleaner for use on tiles and carpet. The HEPA filter is useless because the system leaks dust through the ill fitting plastic components, which are so badly designed and made, they make the vac a nightmare to use. For example, when I tried to remove the dust canister for emptying (always a struggle) the catch often failed, spilling dust and dirt everywhere. The telescopic brush handle is so stiff to release, I gave up using it. When I returned the unit to Miele (within warranty) they kept it for six weeks, returning it with a new canister that works little better than the old one. Are these vacs European seconds that have been dumped in the Australian market? Show details

I love this vacuum and I've had it for years

We have a homestead, livestock, woodstove, 3 dogs and 3 free flight parrots on mixed floors. This vacuum is a zero anxiety vacuum that really has suction and large capacity canister Show details

WOW, ITS AMAZING!

Previously I had a Dyson and a Roborock vacuum. The suction on this thing is incredible! On max suction I really had to use my muscles on the carpet but wow did it get a lot of crap up! I was honestly blown away with the power of this. I am so happy I made the choice to go with a Miele. I thought Dysons were good.. but this blows them out of the park! Show details

Great suction

I brought this vacuum after reading great reviews as needing something to really pick up the dog hair with 2 golden retrievers that shed a lot of fur, I use it mainly on the rugs and wooden floors. I have found the suction to be powerful but the only down full I have is that at times the roller gets so much fur that it is quite difficult to remove the fur and the only option is to cut as much as you can which makes no sense that you can't undo the head to make it easier. Other then that it is perfect and much better then other vacuums I have had and worth the money.  Show details

Great on hair

I use this vacuum on carpet and laminate wood flooring. Says it's for cat and dog hair but I bought it as I'm in a house of 3 girls and we all have long hair. It's been great and easy to clean the brush roll. Glides well along the floor both carpet and laminate it's quiet and on low has excellent suction. My only down fall is you have to guide the power cord back in as it comes in at a speed of ankle breaking force. Excellent clean and to manoeuvre. Easy to clean filters  Show details

The best vacuum cleaner for snow dogs !!

I have been using this vacuum on tiles, carpet and upholstered furniture with husky fur stuck on it. Works like a treat. I really like how powerful this vacuum is, has the strength to pull each and every particle from carpets.

The ergonomic design makes it easy for the vacuum to go to places where an upright vacuum wouldn’t go.

Different suction levels and attachments make it easy to vacuum fabric and delicate furniture.

Best Vaccum Ever

I bought this vaccum and simply love the ease of using and cleaning it, have used so many vacuums in the past but nothing beat this one, the power is too good, it just slides on the floor though the machine itself is heavy but you don’t have to drag it to get the job done , also it prevents scratched on the floor and the wall with accidental hitting while vacuuming, cleaning is a piece of cake, so easy and convenient, I would not replace this vaccum for any other brand, not even Dyson  Show details

An amazing Vacuum Cleaner with Great Suction

This is the 2nd Miele Vacuum Cleaner I have owned. It has great suction especially on carpets. The power head makes vacuuming a breeze when vacuuming pet fur with its turbobrush comprising of four rotating rollers. It has an attachment that is perfect for going over our suede sofa. I like that the vacuum cleaner is bagless and, how simple it is to detach the bin compartment when it's time to empty, by the simple push of a button. One of the easiest and best Vacuum cleaners I have owned to date.  Show details

I love the vaccum cleaner

I bought new vacuum cleaner. It is looking so perfect and stylish! I love it! It is doing it's job perfectly. The one thing is it doesn't slide on carpet as it would be perfect to slide. Need a little bit of muscle to do it. However, I love it and I am impressed with good looking and powerful vacuum cleaner.  Show details

Poor powerhead design

I bought a Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog a few weeks ago. I like it except for the stupid design of the powerhead. You can't take the brushes out to clean them unlike a Dyson. Hair raps so tightly around the brushes you have to use scissors and your fingers to try to get it out with a small accessible gap. Can't collapse the wand unlike my old Dyson so it takes up less room to put away.
Much quieter than the Dyson and the suction has 4 adjustable settings. Just as expensive as Dyson. Show details

Design fault

We have used Miele vacuum cleaners for 20 years. When the remote handle broke on our previous machine and the cost of a replacement was too much. The idea of upgrading to the new model seemed the best option. The blizzard cat and dog bag less was sold as the ultimate.
The machine looked good but after first use suction seemed less than before. Turbotec Carpet head is a poor replacement for previous model. Why can’t it be cleaned easily? Surely ease of cleaning will increase efficiency. The small brush attachment is bad design it is NOT easy to use and certainly a design fault. Our machine has now stopped working and a replacement is not ideal.
Surely Miele can get it right.  Show details

Turbo head Fail

I bought this machine as it stated great with pet hair - after a couple of uses cleaning dog and cat hair (long hair breeds) the roller clogs up with hair then no longer spins - you then have to either try to cut hair out or pull head apart to get the roller out to clean it properly - a really bad design I won’t be buying another one of these machines and I won’t recommend it to anyone with animals inside. Waste of time and money Show details

Simply terrific. Took me by surprise how much easier to vacuum my entire unit as the power head simply glides across my vinyl floor much easier than my older machine.  Show details

For a 'cat and dog' vacuum, it doesn't handle dog hair well at all

The turbo head on carpets winds all the hair up, instead of sucking it up, meaning you sit there for ages unwinding hair from the turbo head.

I'm on the second telescopic wand too, as it keeps collapsing while you're vacuuming. The same is happening with the new one too, so nearly need a 3rd.

The cleaner stops mid clean to 'clean the filter', meaning you have to stand there for 30 seconds waiting for it to restart.

The bin is tiny, leading to frequent emptying.

Upholstery brush gets stuck in on handle.

Overall clean is not as good as old Dyson. Have our while kitchen as Miele which is great, but won't buy another Miele vacuum.  Show details

Turbo head keeps breaking! Second one !

Even after regular cleaning the plastic ends on the roller brush seams to melt and collapse. That’s the second time this happened. Not happy.

Excellent Miele service

After trying to get through via the 1300 line for which there is NO direction re: Warranty issues I managed to get through to a very helpful Genevieve then finally to Russ in spare parts working from home.
My telescopic wand was free moving and would not lock in position anymore after less than 1 year in use (use 1/week and approx. 47 usages from new).
Russ was most accomodating and managed to get a new wand out to me in several days. No hastle whatsoever and surprise of surprise - NO cost.
Sterling service Russ and thanks. Show details

Good Vaccum, Powerhead isn’t good though

The Vaccum itself is pretty good, plenty of suck and filters are good.

The power head is a real pain though, probably ok if you have short hair animals but it can’t cope with our Malamutes fur. It gets clogged after about a couple minutes at best and because there is no easy way to remove it you either have to sit there pulling out the caught up fur.

The bagless container is also rather small and requires frequent emptying, although not a huge issue my old bagless dyson has about 3x the capacity

Overall its an good vaccum but not if you have long hair or thicker animals Show details

Delightful little gem

Last week while replacing my Miele washing machine l happened to see this Vacuum while initially intrigued as it was bagless, l had previously bought the Miele C3 cat and dog and it had served me well. Jake from the Miele service centre in Adelaide demonstrated it and as l only have timber flooring now, he said that this model would suit me fine. So impressed with it as l have 2 Shetland Sheepdogs and one of my boys is doing a summer drop so massive amount of fur coming out of him and the vacuum’s suction is great so all fur gone for now and love the bagless feature so easy to use.  Show details

Excellent vacuum cleaner

Used on carpet, wooden floor and tiles. Works great and is fairly quiet. Love how easy it is to access attachments, comfort handle great and as I'm tall extra length perfect. Easy to move around, very handy having a place to attach telescopic tube. Very easy to empty dust compartment it's clip does look flimsy but time will tell if it holds up. Extra long cord great. Miele's done it again top product. Show details

Disappointed

Living in rural Australia, I bought this expensive vacuum, after years of buying cheaper ones, expecting it to give many years of service. It was great to start with, but 2 weeks after the warranty expired (2 years), the suction dropped dramatically despite many attempts to clean the filters. The nearest Miele service man is 3 hours away and there is no local vacuum cleaner repairman so I am, once again, left having to purchase yet another vacuum cleaner. Very disappointed with Miele.  Show details

Miele service is terrible

Had an issue with cord not retracting. Contacted Miele service. It took them 2 weeks to respond initially basically asking same questions that was already answered in the first correspondence. Now after 4 weeks I am still waiting for them to respond. Show details

Non-existent customer service and repairs

Our bagless CX1 vacuum broke 1 year after we purchased it. We submitted a warranty claim through AppliancesOnline, where we bought it, who contacted Miele on our behalf. Miele still has not replied to them, so AO can't do anything.

We contacted Miele ourselves, and were told to wait 10-12 business days (that's 2-3 weeks) for a reply. It is ridiculous that this brand tries to portray itself as high quality. We will never again buy another Miele appliance. Show details

Terrible quality and price of repair

Do yourself a favour, do not buy this or any other Miele vacuum cleaner. The plastic dust caniste broke on ours, and Miele is now quoting us $216 to send us a replacement. This is literally just a bunch of plastic---there are no electronics or mechanics there. And they want us to pay a third of the price of the whole machine for this stupid plastic canister.

Do yourself a favour and buy a different brand. The top quality ones have lifetime warranties, and will end up costing you much less than a Miele in the long run! Show details

Great vacuum & after sales service

Bought/changed over to the Miele Blizzard CX1 Excellence and glad we did after having a Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum for a few months which lacked decent suction, had to go over the same area 3,4 times to pick up items.

Wish we got the Miele Blizzard from the start. Awesome vacuum no issues very good suction and features. Noticed after a while during the warranty period that the handle and extendable tube plastic parts had cracked/split under normal use and affected the suction performance.

Contacted emailed Mile spare parts advised of situation with pictures and receipt and without any questions or issues sent out the parts without the delay. Awesome after sales support and recommend Mile vacuums. Show details

Amazing powerful, easy to use, easy to empty

Great vacuum. After asking friends what vacuum they had and hearing Miele Often, I thought I’d look in to them.
I picked this one after looking up best vacuum for long hair. I was sick of cutting the hair out of my old vacuums roller head.
I use this on tiles, low pile wool and high pile rugs and it’s amazing.
It has soft floor setting and hard floor setting.
4 power levels again for hard flooring, carpets, rugs, furnishings ( great for prams and car seats).
Super easy emptying feature, one button no touch. I hated having to get my fingers dirty with my old Hoover.
An 11mtr cord, still can’t reach the whole house obviously but a lot more than I’ve seen on other vacuums.
Nice sleek look too.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Show details

High suction, powerful vacuum

I use this vacuum on floorboards, tiles and carpet. It performs really well on all surfaces. I generally use it on the second lowest suction because it's really strong. On carpet I have to use the lowest suction, it's really strong. Glides really smoothly. Long cable. It is pretty heavy but worth it because of its performance. Looks sharp and cool. Has all the handy accessories. Cost me $470 from Bing Lee. Much better than my previous wertheim which only lasted 3 years and cost me $400. Show details

Great product

The machine is super quiet and I found the suction to be great for both carpets and tiles. The wheels make it easy to maneovre around the house, however, it's pretty heavy so might not be suitable if you plan to lugg it up and down stairs regularly. The clip for the dust bin is a little finnicky but I haven't found this to be an issue so long as I take a second extra to close it properly. Overall happy with my purchase and would recommend. Show details ·  1
