Replacing bulbs can be an issue...
I have loved this rangehood until I recently had to replace my second bulb (the first was done without issue). Following the booklet instructions to the letter, the bulb would not release anti-clockwise. After much gentle twisting, it finally released but the internal circle bulb holder came with it. After having the electrician here for over an hour, there is no way (he believes) to fix it!! It is impossible to access that inner area. He has made it safe so I can use the other light but now I am stuck with a very expensive (and relatively new)...rangehood with one light and an empty, useless bulb socket on the right side. I have written to Miele but have yet to get a reply. Advice: make sure you have bulb instructions close as you need to press an internal release button. Then gently remove the bulb anti-clockwise. Hopefully you have better luck than me!! FOLLOW-UP NOTE JUNE 2020 Well after two visits from the Miele technician, I have a perfectly performing Rangehood again. Thank you Miele! Miele graciously covered the cost too, which was much appreciated. Now that I have two new LED bulbs in the rangehood, I am hoping that I don't need to replace them anytime soon. LED is cooler than halogen so remember this if you're replacing them. Otherwise, please follow the advice above for replacing the bulbs. It is tricky. I have now re-rated my original post from 1 star to 4 (I still think the bulb issue takes one star off).
Purchased in June 2017 for A$899.00.
Definitely a winner
As the last range hood I had was so noisy I could not bear to have it on, I was determined this time to get a quiet one. I balked at paying so much for one but I definitely made the right decision this time. It is so quiet that I have got up many times to find it still on from the night before. I have never had to put it on any higher than the lowest setting. Highly recommended.
