Is the G 4930 made in Germany? For whatever reason Miele seem to hide this information on their website.
To my disappointment at this price point, the G4930 is not made in Germany, but the Czech Republic instead. I asked Miele over a week ago and couldn’t wait any longer. They have shipped a dishwasher to me in the time it’s taken for them to not bother replying to an email. Their chat had no idea either. Pretty disappointed..
I am in the market for a new dishwasher and have read all the reviews like Donna and Kris in the above two question boxes, I too would like to know where the smell is coming from and problems with replacement parts. Has me concerned about purchasing this model. Also, has the smell problem been resolved in the new manufacturing of this model? Joy

i have the same dishwasher with the error code F78 and have a booking for next week for technician, my dishwasher is in warranty we have had it 12 months, will i have to pay for a new pump to be replaced or will Miele cover that cost as it is faulty? i have had two other Miele machines for 15 years no problems, and this was purchased to replace our old Westinghouse dishwasher. I will be most displeased should they tell me I have to pay for a faulty part I did not break. Some answers would be great. Regards Katherine
Hi Katherine, There is a two year warranty on your dishwasher, so it should be covered under warranty. In the mean-time try running your dishwasher on the pots and pans cycle. This may free up the circulation pump. I hope that this will assist you. Regards Peter
i am interested in the number of place settings and cant find it in any of the details
My product manual states capacity at 14 place settings.
I am not sure - why not give Miele Australia a call? I am sure they will be able to help you.

How old is the design of this Machine (G 4930 SC)? I can see reviews dating 2016 online, we are on 2020 so is it worth buying a 4 yo design machine?
That's correct, it is a 4 year old machine. As our Miele products are German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years’ average usage they will be a great dishwasher for many years to come.
We have benchmarked these to the market and our innovation/features and performance is consistently strong v’s the competitor.
So what was causing the smell so many people talked about and is it resolved in current production?
I would also like to know the answer to this question Donna. I am in the market and after reading all of the above comments re smell and the need for replacement parts has me a little worried. Krys
I have Miele 4930 SCU CLST.
Since I have it, I haven't heard finishing sound like ding ding or music.
Is it normal without sound?
For $200 more than the model below, the only difference seems to be the ‘professional pump’. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the base Miele pump and the professional pump?
I think the difference is the ability to have different pressure output for the top tray (for lighter soiled items like glassware etc) compared to a higher pressure for the lower section (where the dirtier items like pots etc will sit)
The Miele website says this dishwasher is 60cm deep (front to back) but the choice website and most appliance stores list it as 57cm deep. Can anyone confirm the true depth measurement?
Hi Tasha, thanks for your question. We would recommend you go with what is stated on the Miele official website for the best reference. However, we also recommend that you confirm with the retailer if you choose to purchase this appliance your space limits at your home to ensure that the appliance fits correctly. Kind regards, Miele.
Had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 15 years and the one thing I liked about it was that we could do a rinse cycle on the dishes until we filled the dishwasher with the next day's dishes. Find that the Miele does not have this option. Not altogether happy about this. Am I wrong, does it have a rinse option? Have read the instruction book and cannot find this option.
It should do, I've used it on the first level and that gives me a quick 10-15 minute rinse.
