Bells and whistles are nice, but I'd like it if it just cleaned better.
I got this to match my other Miele kitchen appliances that I bought for a kitchen reno a few years ago. I had been waiting for my ancient (other brand, so old it was actually made in Australia) dishwasher to go to dishwasher heaven before I replaced it.
Having been less than impressed from the get-go with the other Miele stuff I had I risked it because I really wanted uniform brands in my gorgeous kitchen. So I got a Miele dishwasher. Huh, can't say I wasn't warned. They definitely match!
How can it be that a brand new, fancy pants, expensiv...e dishwasher does a worse job than the dinosaur it replaced? Debris left on dishes, and 'extra dry' still leaves plastics wetter than my old machine which certainly didn't open to allow steam to escape at the end of the cycle. Which, by the way, takes nearly three hours.
Purchased in December 2018 at Bing Lee for $2,499.00.
This Miele dishwasher is the best I’ve ever seen, and it’s mine! I’m totally thrilled with it every time I use it.
It’s a breeze to use once you learn the different settings and it’s easy to customize for less water and/or energy usage. Programmable from your phone - just download the app and you can start it with whichever setting whenever. SmartStart is a great feature to take advantage of cheaper energy rate times and the app will alert you when a cycle is completed. The door opens itself and remains slightly ajar. Dishes are mostly a...
Impressive Dishwasher & Future Proofed
We were looking for a replacement for our previous 22 year old Miele Dishwasher and thought we'd do our due diligence and consider other brands. In the end the only other model we slightly considered was the Bosch Serie 8 DishWasher. However after seeing it in person and after having seen the Miele G6827 in person, the build quality of the Miele G6827, and feature set was way out in front.
The options to load your dishes, cutlery and glasses in the G6827 are so numerous and flexible that you can maximize the space in which to load the D...ishwasher easily, From the 3D Cutllery tray in the top, to the bottom glass shelves. As is the internal LED lighting which makes it so much easier at night and even during the day to load the Dishwasher. We have been using it for 2 weeks and are so far very impressed. We use the Automatic mode with the Extra Dry option enabled and it works brilliantly. Towards the end of the wash program with about 10 minutes to go it automatically opens the DishWasher Door partly to allow stream to escape and aids in drying the dishes and glasses. This is one thing I had to take into consideration is that with our old Miele it had a built in heater in the bottom of the cabinet to dry the dishes so that they would be absolutely dry. With all new dishwashers they use Condensation Drying as its more energy efficient. This can lead to dishes not being entirely drip dry. However I have been able to achieve the same level of dryness as the previous Miele using the following- Automatic mode, Extra Dry option enabled, AutoOpen Door Drying option enabled, using Miele branded Rinse Aid, and the Miele Ultratabs Multi and not fully opening the Dishwasher door until 30 minutes until after the cycle has finished.
