Good wash, major flaws.
Good wash and build quality however I’ve now gotten the dreaded F212 error message. TwinDOS no longer works. Put in a service enquiry over a month ago and haven’t had a response.
Called up customer service and couldn’t get through. Haven’t been able to get a call back either!
Pretty poor customer service!
Considering they were selling machines under a 10 year warranty promotion not too long ago, you’d think issues like these wouldn’t pop up.

Problems from day of purchase
I was so excited to use my Miele, but I had problems right from the start. The display panel would seize and I couldn't programme a cycle. I called customer service and they told me to keep it switched off for 24 hours, sometimes this worked, sometimes it didn't. After a month a technician came out and said there was something wrong with the panel, and said he would order the part and it would be arriving in 4 weeks. I also mentioned that the machine was leaking, he told me this was normal, sometimes the twin dos does this. After waiting 4 wee...ks I contacted Miele and the part had not even been ordered. I was offered a new machine, however it wouldnt be in stock for a few months and I agreed to wait for the part to arrive. I was also offered a $200 voucher, which I've never received. After 3 months of taking a chance that my washing machine would work or not, another technician finally came out, replaced the panel and advised that my twin dos was like a cocktail and the motor would need to be replaced., which the first technician told me was normal. He booked me in for the following Friday and was going to recommend to his manager I get a replacement machine. This was now offered to me twice. The technician never turned up. I called Miele a number of times, none of the notes were on my file so I had to repeat the whole experience over and over with the promise that someone would get back to me. No one ever called me back, I've had to follow up 6 times with an average wait time of 45mins to an hour for someone to answer the call. I've now ask for a full refund as I'm tired of waiting for someone to get back to me. For a company that prides themselves on quality and service they certainly do not live by these values Very disappointing....

Is Twin DOS worth it?
Bought the Miele Twin DOS over a year ago (nearly 2 years, still in warranty), from day one there were Twin DOS issues (no Fault codes), rang support about detergent not working, or too much or empty cartridge warns when full etc.
Then finally a error code F212, manage to get it reset, then a few weeks later F212, contacted support, then 3 weeks later a tech rolled up, he said the fault had been there since day one... he updated the firmware (didn't test it). We did one wash and F212. contacted the service agent again and they the servic...e person would be there in one week, a week later contacted the service agent to see where the service person was and they told us to ring another service agent. two weeks later they pop around, again install firmware and again after they left error F212. Rang the service agent and I pointed out someone had reported the same fault and a new Twin DOS module was required. The service agent pop back a week later with a module which turned out to be the wrong one. Anyway 2 weeks later and "still" waiting to get a 2 year old fault resolved. Right overall the washer is great (apart from the Twin DOS), washes well.

Twin dos might have been no dos . Was looking forward to the automatic soap dispensing but has worked only part time . Can’t count on it . Warnings when soap is full . Have had a Miele service tech Check . Done maintenance but still not working. Maybe I got a lemon will be going back to adding detergent. Not worth extra $ .

Perfect I love it...
White shirt, come out so clean, there no need to per soak white any more the collars and cuff come out so clean on shirt cycle. Less housework, more time for me. I love it.

There was a small leak but found out it was just the hose. Asked for a new one and they sent it out straight away without question. So really appreciate the customer service provided. Machine is solid and not noisy and although priced a little higher than it's competitors, it's worth

Over rated over-complicated and disappointing
I had a Bosch front loader for many years that served me well for many years but decided to splash out on a Miele washer/dryer combo. What a disappointment. This is a review for the washer but the dryer is equally disappointing - Blankets and sheets will come out tied up in a tight ball. On the washer:
Firstly, Twin Dos is a complete waste of time. Modern enzymatic detergents like Bio Zet are far superior. Twin dos does not get clothes very clean, and if you use it on the machine's default temperature settings will completely release colours ...in a mixed load, making any patch of white (for example the waist band around your undies, or white stripes in a dark top) come out pink or grey-blue. And don't dare even thinking about committing the cardinal sin of washing whites and coloureds together. While this never gave us a problem using the Bosch washer on a 40C setting using Bio Zet, it is most certaily VERBOTEN! using a Miele with Twin Dos. The machine is very annoying if you elect not to use the Twin Dos detergent and demands that you run Twin Dos every few cycles or do "maintenance". It is a very demanding machine - for example, when a load is finished, it beeps incessantly until you come and press "stop". I also feel like I have paid for a heap of features I'll never use, like wifi connect -what's the point? I have to physically load and unload the thing, so being able to operate it via wifi is a complete gimick. And seriously, how often are you going to use the waterproofing function?

Great Brand, a few small changes needed.
The Miele W1 WCI670 has a great brand reputation, however I feel the washing machine itself has a few small improvements which would make it a great brand and excellent machine. A family of 4 very active people, we have a large amount of clothes that need to go through the machine. The express cycle, has 2 options 20mins or30mins which is great for a quick wash. However 20mins, just does not give a good overall wash and the clothes appear dull. The 30mins I feel is just that little bit better in the clothes being cleaner but I feel it should be...maybe 15mins longer. It has a large barrel which is great but this can also lead to overfilling. I do however like the delicate cycle, great as you can pick the spin speed. You can also program the temperature, however once again the cycle times seem a little off too long. I also found to clean the machine a little difficult, the seal in the opening where the door closes has a trap which collects water and overtime mould. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the Miele, I was expecting a little more due to the brand rep.

Questions & Answers
Edit: TWINDOS PROBLME SOLVED FOR NOW.... I "Power cycled" the machine after calling support (40 min wait in Australia). You power cycle it just like a modem, unplug from power, count to ten, plug it in again. After a few loads it started using the Twindos normally again ... As if a cache had been cleared. It's sensors went looking for levels and it all aligned again so it was happy. So basically this is as complex as DOS and needs an occasional reboot. ;-)
I bought Miele W1 WW1860 in 2020. It's not listed here - can that be fixed? Does Miele have it's own forums or do I go to Whirlpool?
The question I have is about Twindos - it's stopped working.... I have used Twindos exclusively and without problem (except disliking the perfumes) and now the 2nd time container 1 got to empty a fault developed. It prompted me to do maintenance (rinse using an empty container I bough with only water in it as the cleaning cartridge is not sold in Australia) , which I did, twice, on both compartments 1&2. The new ultraphae 1 cartidge is full. It is sensed as full by the twindos system in the settings menu (where I can see levels on screen). But not when I try to do a wash load -twindos is greyed out (not as brightly lit) and when I press it - the message indicates the twindos 1 is empty (so two parts of the machine sense different information).
I just waited 30 mins on hold here in Australia and told to power cycle the machine (power off for five minutes). Any other suggestions before going to the trouble of a service technician?
after using the cleaning cartridge and sanitizing the machine my machine is doing better. My only suggestion would be to repeat process and keep fingers crossed. Also when not sensing container 1or 2 ...remove and reinstall this has sometimes worked. Would not give this machine high marks on technology improvements. Good luck
What cycle do I put my WCI670 on to wash blankets... they aren’t wool ones?
if there are dark in the cotton cycle but if there are table cloths I use the dark cloths and Janse cycle.
My washing machine shows twin dos maintenance when I want to use it which it wasnt showing before. I bought this machine 3months . It looks like it not using twin dos at all
